The Downward Spiral of Addiction with Ashleigh Ethridge | The Hopeaholics PodcastIn this powerful and deeply vulnerable episode of the Hopeaholics Podcast, Ashleigh Ethridge shares her full story of addiction, recovery, and spiritual awakening, offering an unfiltered look at how alcoholism can quietly take over a life that once appeared stable and successful. She walks through her early years, the influence of the LA nightlife and service industry, and how drinking slowly evolved from social fun into daily survival, leading to blackout episodes, escalating drug use, and a complete loss of control. Ashleigh recounts terrifying experiences with withdrawal seizures, alcohol-induced psychosis, and the physical deterioration that came with drinking around the clock, including moments where she knew she was dying yet still resisted help. She opens up about the role of shame, denial, and toxic relationships in keeping her trapped, as well as the emotional toll addiction took on her family—especially the moment she called her mother from the floor of her apartment, unable to save herself. The episode also explores her journey into treatment, the fear of starting over in her thirties, and the difficult but necessary inner work that followed, including therapy, rebuilding her faith, and confronting the deeper wounds beneath the drinking. Through honesty, humility, and reflection, Ashleigh shares how recovery restored her sense of purpose, healed fractured relationships, and gave her a life she never thought possible, making this episode a raw, hopeful testament to what can happen when someone finally surrenders and chooses to live.#thehopeaholics #redemption #recovery #AlcoholAddiction #AddictionRecovery #wedorecover #SobrietyJourney #MyStory #Hope #wedorecover #treatmentcenter #natalieevamarieJoin our patreon to get access to an EXTRA EPISODE every week of ‘Off the Record', exclusive content, a thriving recovery community, and opportunities to be featured on the podcast. https://patreon.com/TheHopeaholics Go to www.Wolfpak.com today and support our sponsors. Pastor Daniel looks at the life and birth of John the Baptist in Luke chapter 1, revealing how God works through impossible circumstances to accomplish His purposes. Jesus' heart has always been to “gather the people” so they can hear His Word, experience His presence, and be changed forever. In this message from Deuteronomy 31:12, Pastor Grant reminds us that while methods may change, the mission of reaching and teaching people for Jesus never does. As we celebrate the grand opening of our Smithfield campus and look ahead to Christmas Eve services, we're challenged to pray with anticipation, invite others, and make room for those who need the hope of Christ.Through the powerful story of Woody—a man whose life was completely transformed by grace—Pastor Grant shows that no one is beyond God's reach. Jesus said the gospel would be proclaimed to every nation before the end comes, and Matthew 24:14 gives us a powerful picture of God's heart for the world. This verse reveals the depth of His love for every people group and reminds us that the mission of the church is bigger than our comfort, our routines, or our borders. Changing the world begins by understanding who God is calling us to reach, what message we carry, and how the Holy Spirit empowers us to be His witnesses wherever we are. This message calls us to step into that mission with urgency and obedience. From our neighborhoods filled with the nations to the unreached people groups in the 10/40 Window, God invites His church to pray, give, go, and use their everyday lives to make Jesus known. We are placed in this generation with unprecedented opportunity, and the time to respond is now.If you're ready to take the next step in your faith or want to learn more about Liberty, click here: https://libertylive.church/connect/
What does it take to truly change a community for Jesus Christ? In Acts 1 and Acts 9, we see a church shaped by a holy fear of God, strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit, and committed to reaching the people around them. Their lives reflected a deep awareness of God's holiness, a dependence on His presence, and a willingness to be bold witnesses wherever He placed them. God used ordinary believers to bring extraordinary change, and He still works the same way today. This message invites us to live with reverence, courage, and Spirit-filled obedience. When we walk in the fear of the Lord, rely on the Holy Spirit, and take responsibility for reaching our communities, God multiplies the impact. As we pray for and invite the one God places on our hearts, He uses our witness to transform lives, strengthen churches, and move His gospel forward in ways only He can.If you're ready to take the next step in your faith or want to learn more about Liberty, click here: https://libertylive.church/connect/
Acts chapter 9 gives us one of the most powerful pictures of a changed life in all of Scripture. In this message, Pastor Grant walks through Saul's encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus and shows how God completely transformed a man who once persecuted Christians into someone who boldly proclaimed Christ. Through the themes of envision, revision, division, and provision, we see how God redirects our plans, opens our eyes, and repurposes our past for His glory. This message reminds us that God still changes lives today. No one is too far gone, no story is too broken, and no heart is too hard for the grace of Jesus. Saul's transformation encourages us to trust God's vision for our lives and to believe that He can do the same life–changing work in us.If you're ready to take the next step in your faith or want to learn more about Liberty, click here: https://libertylive.church/connect/

Elisha's story is a reminder that God's power is never limited and His presence is never absent. In 2 Kings 6–8 and 13, we see faith that stands firm when surrounded, speaks truth when hope seems gone, and keeps going when it would be easier to give up. Through each moment, God proves that His strength is greater than our struggles and His promises still stand. This message encourages us to live with courage, boldness, and perseverance. When we choose faith over fear, share the good news with others, and keep pressing forward in obedience, God fills us with a double portion of His Spirit and works in ways that only He can.If you're ready to take the next step in your faith or want to learn more about Liberty, click here: https://libertylive.church/connect/
Life is full of moments that leave us wondering what to do next, but God often uses our questions to lead us to His miracles. In 2 Kings 4–6, the prophet Elisha shows that when we bring our needs, our lives, and even our losses to God, He can transform them in ways we never expect. Poison becomes nourishment, scarcity becomes abundance, pride gives way to healing, and what was lost is found again. This message reminds us that miracles often begin with obedience and faith. When we put God first, trust His Word, and follow His direction—even when it doesn't make sense—He shows Himself faithful. No matter what you're facing today, God still provides, restores, and performs miracles for those who look to Him.If you're ready to take the next step in your faith or want to learn more about Liberty, click here: https://libertylive.church/connect/
We live in a broken world, but that is exactly why Jesus came. In 2 Kings 4, a wealthy Shunammite woman makes room in her home for the prophet Elisha, not realizing she is also making room for a miracle. Through her generosity, her grief, and her faith, we see that God is still the God of miracles. He is not bound by natural law and still brings life where there once was death, hope where there once was despair. This story reminds us that miracles often begin with simple obedience. When we create space for God in our lives, He meets us in unexpected ways. Even when dreams seem lost, He is working behind the scenes to bring restoration. What feels finished is often the beginning of something new when God steps in.If you're ready to take the next step in your faith or want to learn more about Liberty, click here: https://libertylive.church/connect/
When life leaves you empty-handed, it's easy to feel forgotten. In 2 Kings 4, a desperate widow believes she has nothing left but a little oil. Yet when she brings what she has to God, He multiplies it until every jar in the house is filled. Her emptiness becomes the starting point for God's overflow. This passage reminds us that scarcity is never the end of the story. When we trust God with what little remains, He meets us in our weakness, fills our emptiness, and turns lack into abundance. He doesn't need much—just a willing heart and an open vessel. If you're ready to take the next step in your faith or want to learn more about Liberty, click here: https://libertylive.church/connect/

This message looks at 2 Kings 3, where three kings march to battle and run out of water. In the middle of their drought, God uses the prophet Elisha to remind them that even in dry seasons, He is still the source of life. Through Elisha's faith and obedience, the people learn that God can provide water without rain and victory without strength of their own. This passage reminds us that when resources run out, God's power never does. When we listen for His Word, put our faith to work, and worship while we wait, He fills the empty places in our lives and turns every desert into a display of His grace. If you're ready to take the next step in your faith or want to learn more about Liberty, click here: https://libertylive.church/connect/

In this message from The Life of Elijah, Pastor Daniel teaches from 2 Kings 2 about Elijah's final day on earth and Elisha's unwavering devotion. At the Jordan River, Elijah parts the waters, is taken up in a whirlwind, and Elisha receives the mantle, signifying a double portion of the Spirit for the work ahead. This story reminds us that God appoints moments and places to shape our faith, call us to live ready for Christ's return, and empower us by His Spirit. When we sense His prompting, the right response is surrender and expectancy, asking boldly for the Spirit's power and stepping forward in obedience. If you're ready to take the next step in your faith or want to learn more about Liberty, click here: https://libertylive.church/connect/
In this message from The Life of Elijah, Pastor Daniel teaches from 1 Kings 19:19–21 about what happens when God calls and we respond. Elijah placed his mantle on Elisha, and in that moment Elisha left behind his oxen, burned his plows, and stepped into a new future with God.This story shows us that God shapes us in seasons of ordinary faithfulness and invites us into something greater than anything we could build on our own. When we hear His call, the right response is surrender. In this message from The Life of Elijah, Pastor Zac takes us to 1 Kings 19 to show what happens when the prophet himself is weary and ready to give up. After the fire falls on Mount Carmel, Elijah finds himself running in fear, discouraged, and exhausted. Yet even in his lowest moment, God shows that He sustains, speaks, sentences, and saves. From the wilderness to Mount Sinai, we see that the Lord has not abandoned His people. He provides for the weary, speaks in a still small voice, warns of coming judgment, and preserves a faithful remnant by His grace. This message is a reminder that when life feels overwhelming, God is still present, powerful, and faithful to those who trust Him.If you're ready to take the next step in your faith or want to learn more about Liberty, click here: https://libertylive.church/connect/
In this message from The Life of Elijah, Pastor Grant takes us to 1 Kings 18 to show what it means to pray for revival. Elijah called the people to choose the Lord, Obadiah lived out quiet faithfulness, and together their stories remind us that God moves when His people seek His Word, His fire, and His rain. Revival is not about a moment, but about God's presence changing hearts and lives. From the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel to the altar rebuilt and the rain that finally fell after years of drought, we see that God alone is the one who answers prayer and provides for His people. This message is a reminder that when we humble ourselves, walk in unity, and pray with persistence, God brings renewal. The same God who sent fire from heaven still brings refreshing to His church today. If you're ready to take the next step in your faith or want to learn more about Liberty, click here.
In this message from The Life of Elijah, Pastor Grant takes us to 1 Kings 17 to teach on faith for the impossible, showing how God calls us to trust Him when life doesn't make sense. We see Elijah's journey from the brook to Zarephath and learn what it means to have faith to go, faith to stay, faith to give, and faith to live.Through ravens that brought bread and meat, a widow with only a handful of flour and oil, and even the raising of her son, God revealed that He alone is our true source and sustainer. This message is a powerful reminder that the same God who provided for Elijah in impossible circumstances is the God who provides for us today. When we put Him first and trust His Word, we find that He is faithful in every situation. If you're ready to take the next step in your faith or want to learn more about Liberty, please visit libertylive.church/connect.

In this message, Pastor Grant walks through the sobering story of David and Bathsheba in 2 Samuel 11 and 12, revealing the devastating effects of disengagement, temptation, and hidden sin. But even in the aftermath of failure, we see a powerful truth: God still uses broken people. This message is a reminder that no one is beyond the reach of God's mercy. Though David's actions brought consequences, his repentance brought restoration. If you've ever wondered if God could forgive you or use you again, this story is for you. David wanted to bring the ark of God back to Jerusalem, but his first attempt ended in disaster. In this message, Pastor Grant unpacks the powerful lessons found in 2 Samuel 6 and shows what happens when we worship God our way instead of His. Through David's story, we see that worship that pleases God is prayerful, biblical, joyful, sacrificial, and personal. This message is a powerful reminder that true worship is not about performance or preference. It is about obedience. God has already told us how He wants to be worshiped. When we follow His lead, His presence brings blessing. Do not settle for routine or ritual. Let your worship be marked by humility, reverence, and joy because our God is alive and He is worthy.
David didn't just inherit a throne. He inherited a mess. In this message, Pastor Grant walks through 2 Samuel 1 to 5 and shows how David's response to grief, betrayal, and opposition reveals the heart of a man after God's own heart. You'll see how David honored the Lord's anointed, grieved with grace, and refused to take shortcuts to power. Instead of seeking revenge, David sought the Lord. And even in a divided nation filled with chaos, David waited on God's timing, followed God's lead, and walked in obedience one step at a time. This message is a powerful reminder that God's purpose unfolds in stages. Do not rush ahead. Do not take matters into your own hands. Keep seeking the Lord, trust His process, and let your life point others to the true King, Jesus. If you're ready to take the next step in your faith or want to learn more about Life Track, click here: https://libertylive.church/connect

We just wanna say to you all tonight, we're very, very grateful to be here. A lot of people told us that we'd never podcast about behavior analysis again and that's all we do. You know, if you live hard and play hard and you burn the candle at both ends, you pay the price for it. You know in this life you can lose everything that you love, everything that loves you." Now we don't hear as good as we used to, and we forget stuff. And we ain't as pretty as we used to be. But darn it, we're still standing here and we're "ABA Inside Track." You know as time goes by -- as time goes by, they say: "We're washed up." “We're finished.” “We're losers.” “We're all through.” You know what? The only one that's going to tell us when we're through doing our thing is you people here. You people here -- You people here are the ones who are worth bringing it for because you're our family. We love all of you! Thank you so much! This episode is available for 1.0 LEARNING CEU. Articles discussed this episode: Vargo, K. & Brown, C. (2020).
