Zum 25ten Geburtstag der Tales of Reihe schickt uns Bandai Namco mit Tales of Arise erneut in einen wunderbar gestalteten und Story-starken Anime Epos. Neben der wirklich wundervoll aussehenden Welt, die diesmal in einer wunderschönen Pastell-Optik daherkommt, erhalten wir im Gegensatz zu den Vorgängern auch eine sehr erwachsene Story mit einigen Twists. Mit eines der Highlights dürfte das wohl typische, aber auch aufgebohrte Kampfsystem sein. Hat man in den Vorgängern seine Kombos mehr oder weniger noch mit seinen Artes durchgeführt, sorgt das neue Boost System dafür, dass wir diese Kombos erweitern können indem wir z.B Gegnern die Zauber unterbrechen oder direkt anfälliger für unsere Attacken machen. Schade ist allerdings nur, dass mit zunehmendem Spielfortschritt die Übersicht in den Kämpfen verloren geht. Während die eigentliche Hauptstory und die der Charaktere (die sich mittels Accessoires zusätzlich optisch aufbohren lassen, Klasse!) sehr überzeugt und auch mit seinen Zwischensequenzen ebenfalls stark punktet, enttäuschen leider die Nebenaufgaben, die hauptsächlich aus langweiligen Fetch-Quests bestehen. Trotz der beiden kleinen Mankos ist und bleibt Tales of Arise allerdings ein hervorragendes JRPG, das man sich als Anime-Rollenspiel-Fan definitiv nicht entgehen lassen sollte!
