He is part of the new wave of thought leaders who are engaging the culture and using their talent and influence to take faith out of the pulpits into the wider world!Ethnic Conciliation Mission StatementAffirming Imago Dei (every human life bears the image of God) and through biblical community relationships, we strive to confront the sin of racism. Grounded in the truth and hope of God’s Word, we press into hard conversations asking, listening, and learning about experiences beyond our own to gain a deeper understanding from our marginalized brothers and sisters in faith. We commit to learning individually and collectively from Scripture, each other, and other resources that speak directly to racial issues, inequalities, and injustices. We will use our voices in our circles of influence to speak the truth to policies, institutions, and individuals concerning racism. Finally, we recognize our utter dependence on God’s grace and strength for this journey in seeking to walk together more effectively, and that His Glory through His son Jesus is our greatest calling.
The Torah is so particular that we do not destroy or waste that which G-d has given us in this world. This is not just a quality which our grandmothers lived by, but it is a Jewish way of life. Yet, the High Priest on Yom Kippur every year would dispose of the garments he wore into the Holy of Holies and they would be buried in the ground. This practice requires explanation as it is in contrary to the general sensitivity Torah has towards clothing, food, etc. Herewith lies an important lesson about personal growth.

Herewith a disturbing broadcast, a dramatization by Milton Wain, George Orwell’s 1984. In his 1949 widely discussed novel Orwell has projected the totalitarian techniques abroad in the world to their terrible extreme. The plight of the individual in this world are left to you to assess for yourself as you listen to the story of Mr Winston Smith played by the internationally known British actor David Niven. Herewith my thoughts on Malcolm & Marie, a movie I believe is phenomenal and exceptionally made. Yes, this is a positive review on this new Movie taking place in 1 house with 2 exceptional actors. Malcolm & Marie is definitely one of those movies you either LOVE or HATE. It's definitely not for everyone but however, it's definitely deserving an Oscar (in my opinion). Just like Euphoria, It's a perfect representation of our generation creatively and artistically. The cinematography in this movie exceptional beyond measure. If you aren't artistically inclined you will not appreciate the 1 takes, framing, teaching, and movement of the whole film. Actors, Zandeya and John are deserving of higher recognition for the performance in this movie. Through this podcast, I'll share why YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS MOVIE as well as why many will dislike it. This movie breaks so many artistic barriers that many artists in 2021 would not even dare to break. The storyline is relatable and true to our times and relationships as a whole. As a black artist, I'm extremely grateful to have watched 2 exceptional black artists perform in the worst global situation and do it exceptionally well. Malcolm and Marie is not for everyone, and that more than okay.
Herewith a new video sharing my thoughts on fuji pro400h discontinuation. This is a tribute video sharing some of the best photos I've taken with this film stock. Fuji pro400h as most of you know is one of my favorite film stocks ever created. It has the best characteristics for the work I do and for the skin tones I work with. Most times I'd pick and prefer Fuji Pro400h over Kodak Portra 400 because of the work I do. This has been sad news for the film photography community but I solely believe FujiFilm will bring back this godly film. On that note, I'll also be sharing my thoughts on what I've been hearing about canceling fuji pro400h. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zd_7QhpyNk
Herewith a new podcast sharing my thoughts on digital photography after shooting film photographs for 2 years. I'm excited to share all my views on digital after primarily shooting film for 2 years. I believe that everyone feels the need to choose between one or the other when In reality they can both live together in harmony. As a new-age film photographer, I've gotten to fall in love with the results film photography has given me photographically. THere's no denying that film photography has a beautiful and distinct look but does that make film photography better than digital photography?? Digital photography also has its own major advantage over film photography such as, seeing your photos in real-time, and having endless photos to make on-demand but does that make digital photography better than film photography? In this podcast, I'll share my thoughts on this topic after using both mediums for over 2 years. Film photography over digital photography???? Enjoy!
Herewith an audio recording (podcast) on how I ruined my fashion Editorial Photoshoot. In this audio, I'll be sharing the importance of proper planning as an artist primarily as a photographer *The information I share helps all other artforms*. Another topic I'll be sharing is; how artists aren't truly one artist. I'll be touching on this topic very briefly. In this cast I'll touch on the importance of mood boards as well as proper "proper" planning. Enjoy. Herewith we present an overview of one of the most beguiling bands to emerge from American soil. Part doomed epic metal, part gothic grandeur, peppered with prog, and very much in the spirit of our other chameleonic favorites, we run through Hammers of Misfortune’s works...
Our topic this week: “What Does The World Need On Today; Love” It is brought to you by: Minister Adrian Miller of Benton Harbor, Michigan. Minister Miller will be teaching from the: KJV - Matthews 21:1-11; 27:11-24 & reference is given to: 1 Corinthians 13 Summary What Does The World Need On Today; Love—Of all the problems our world faces and deal with today, Minister Miller discusses the biblical solution to these issues and problems, love. With this analogy, Minister Miller focus on the reason God sent his only begotten son Jesus, and his sacrifice that we may have eternal life. That sacrifice involved Christ being crucified all in the name of love, and it was Jesus' decision to give himself so that world, you and I, would have the choice for eternal life and in doing so, it was necessary for Jesus to remain steadfast to accept the cross and his crucifixion to save each of us, even those who did not care for him. Minister Miller then turn our ear to the facts that Christ purposes was for the genuineness of love. He then explains there's a necessary sense for us to understand we must be Christ like and practice the same principle Jesus died for, to have genuine devotion for everyone even towards those whom despise us, Amen. A profound point was then explained by Minister Miller that with God's love infiltrating and consuming us, it enable us to withstand the harshest criticism from even the most formidable of those who's iniquities are intended for us. Inasmuch as, there is no profit for us in blessing only them who bless you. In another profound moment Minister Miller breaks down our innateness, and the predisposition that is built into our psyche that has a great influence over you and I and determines how quickly I love you this minute, and hate you in the next. Are we that predictable, in the flesh yes we are, however, with God's love we can have spiritual genuineness, and this can determine how we interact and can even influence our natural side, and surpasses all inclinations to hate—pure devotion and empathy without disregard like the pureness of our loving God, doesn't that entice you to follow our Lord and savior, Amen? He then cautioned us to not give in to our urges to impress one another, yet, we should understand that it is important for us to focus on being genuine for the sake of embellishment where there is no substance. How many of you have witnessed that person who is more focused on themselves? Who uses (I) in every thing that God should be getting the glory for. They effectively places themselves in every aspect of prophesy and prayer, instead of giving honor to God in place of (I). This is why Minister Miller exemplified this part of his message, that Jesus was praised by the multitude showing him adoration even as he presented himself humbly. What a concept, maybe if we were as humble, many of the issues we encounter would be better served and less stressful, Amen. Minister Miller then explained how the will of the multitude shifted. The love then hate propensity reared its ugly head, and they choose to release a murder, a criminal, rather than show Jesus the same love that he had given them, thus giving the governor a reason to condemn him to be crucified. Furthermore, it was brought to our attention that we cannot escape accountability not even if we follow the status quo, it does not absolve us in any way of our responsibility to do the right thing. Remember, governor Pilate attempted to do this, to wash his hands of the situation which the multitude choose to condemn Christ, in an effort to save himself from being judged for crucifying Christ. Herewith, God has given us James 4:17 “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doth it not, to him it is sin.” Escaping responsibility is an illusion and our judgement will be based on our choices, Amen. So, as we become ambassadors of Christ our personification justifies our demeanor. We each should fill our heart with love and compassion for all, to focus on what comes out of us, to be pure and faithful and Christ like, is what justifies pure intent. We can't be agnostic or faithless after praises, our journey with Christ is a lifelong commitment, not a temporary one or one who's purpose is solely subjective, Amen. This is important for us to understand as christians, we have to build goodness as Minister Miller discusses, and regardless of what is thrown at us or how degrading it may be, we have to give back in goodness; and kindness; and in love, Amen. Jesus' sacrifice purified you and I and it is now our choice to sustain the purity of love that he died for. Minister Miller discussed how Jesus removed the things from us, that not only hindered us, he did it to give us spiritual peace! Stay the course and keep loving one another, Amen. May God continue to be the blessing in your life, Amen. Prayer Team * Evangelist Donna Miller of Chesapeake, VA &; * Prophetess Maxine Edmonds of Richmond, VA Tribute(s)/Acknowledgements/Comments * To our first responders - and all those working on the front lines involved in fighting this pandemic. “My eyes opened up to the fact that this is real, this is relevant, this is happening right in our front yards” Children are a bundle of joy, innocent God-given gifts to every family, and the hope of our nation’s future. As of the moment, we might be safe at home with our kids, enjoying a lovely day under the sun with precious smiles from ear to ear, but are you aware that 800,000 children go missing every year and that is roughly 2000 children per day. These children are experiencing the opposite of what our children are enjoying right now. They are maltreated, sold, and harvested for organs. Herewith us today are two good friends of mine, Alex and Jen on this awakening and alarming conversation about child trafficking and putting an end to these immoral and unlawful crimes. In this time of crisis, we are called to be the soldiers of the weak, the voice of the voiceless and the defender of the innocent. Never be afraid to fight for the helpless, donate and light the torch of hope for millions of missing children that it might enlighten their path to their way home. Ephesians 5:11- “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” Commonly used codewords by predators that you should be aware of: #hotdog- young boy #pizza- young girl #cheesepizza- little girl (infant) #pasta- little boy (infant) #icecream- male prostitute #walnut- a person of color #map- semen #sauce- orgy Stop using these hashtags especially when posting photos of your children online: #pottytraining #bathtime #nekedkids #kidsbathtime #bikinikids #pottyseat #toddlerbikini #toilettraining #nakedchild #pottypants #kidsshower 8 Ways a predator will approach its prey and how you can protect them (38:03) A predator might pay special attention to a child and make him or her feel special. A predator might isolate your child by involving him or her in a fun activity that requires them to be alone. A predator might touch your child in the presence of you so that he or she thinks that you’re comfortable with her being touched or him being touched. Keep in mind that the first physical contact between a predator in his or her victim is often non-sexual and designed to desensitize the child. A predator might take advantage of your child’s natural curiosity about sex by telling dirty jokes showing him or her pornography by playing sexual games. A predator may offer to play games, buy treats for young children. A predator might present him or herself as a sympathetic listener when parents, friends, and others disappoint a child. A predator might eventually treat the child victim as a co-conspirator in the relationship. Rabbi Worch-Co host of the Chavrusa and acclaimed translator of the Bnei Yessaschar elaborates on two carefully selected sections of the famed mystic and commentator,Rav Moshe Alshich, one from Acharei Mos and its description of the Avodah of Yom HakippurimThat passage can be found hereWith fine tuned reading of the verses, the Alshich emphasizes Aharon's complete exoneration from the sin of the Golden Calf, and the purpose of the special linen garments, and twin Chatas goatsRabbi Worch then turns to what appears a pedestrian passage about agricultural laws in ParshasKedoshimPlease find that -hereWith the Alshich's careful attention to stylistic changes in the Biblicalverses, coupled withcogentreferencing of the contractual details of marriage arrangements as laid out in the Talmud,Rabbi Worch presents Peah as a paradigm of how community relations and attitudes need to develop in order to have a holy society that affords dignity to all its members.Way beyond a mere translator,Rabbi Worch places the material in context with Halachic directives in Tzedakah from the Rambam, evocative statements of the saintly Levi Yitzchak of Berditchevand a few witty classic Jewish epigrams. We thank the Illinois Center for Jewish Studies for the use of this materialPlease leave us a review or email us at ravkiv@gmail.comFor more information on this podcast visityeshivaofnewark.jewishpodcasts.org See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Herewith we begin our exploration of the nonhuman sapient species of the Discworld. They are some of the familiar monsters of fantasy fiction, but they're not really monstrous, for the most part-- a glaring exception being the Discworld's elves, who are the polar opposite of the Middle Earth variety. It's very hard for the Discworld's elves to actually gain access to the Discworld, and a bloody good thing that is, too. This week I also acknowledge my international listeners, and wonder aloud why a rose isn't a rose when it comes to the number of plays Buzzsprout shows my podcast episodes as having received. Remember you can reach me at randy@mindkindle.net. I promise to answer your email.
We're still digging into the archives. This time, we've come up with a short chat I had with Duncan Chapple, the world's foremost authority on analyst relations. He's a great guy, and when he was in Cambridge, Mass. for a conference back in late 2017, I grabbed a few minutes with him to chat about marketing and analyst relations. We had a fun discussion. And, as I was packing up my gear, we started to talk about the evils of PowerPoint. I knew I had to record it, so I set things up again and we had at it. Herewith, Death by Powerpoint. Enjoy!

On this episode of #SoLA, Camille and Charlie deliver their often discussed, long promised Twilight Struggle episode. You know, Twilight Struggle… the 4-6 hours Cold War recreation board game. It’s an episode about that. And, yes, they may have truly lost their collective mind. Herewith, a 3+ hour episode in which Camille and Will add color commentary while Charlie, aka the USA, plays friend-of-the-pod “Elizabeth Jennings”, aka the USSR, for world domination. There’s lots of ill-informed talk of world politics and history (including JFK assasination theories and Krushev’s desire to go to Disneyland), the movie War Games, and if you make it two and a half hours in some pretty amazing impressions of Dean Martin and Dinah Shore that basically take over the podcast. If you make it further than that and you’re curious about the missing Star Wars discussion, tune in to a future episode for lots more ill-informed opinions… this time about a galaxy far, far away.
It's Sunday Chops time again and this week we're offering up double portions. Plus, Candy Adkins, the daughter of one of those pilots, joined in the chat too. Herewith, the dope about them... See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

In 1900 three lighthouse keepers vanished from a remote, featureless island in Scotland's Outer Hebrides. The lighthouse was in good order and the log showed no sign of trouble, but no trace of the keepers has ever been found. In this episode of the Futility Closet podcast we'll explore the conundrum of the men's disappearance -- a classic mystery of sea lore. We'll also ponder the whereabouts of Robert Louis Stevenson's birthday, admire Esaw Wood's quest for a wood saw that would saw wood, and wonder why drinking a glass of water might necessitate a call to the auto club. Here's the deed: Vailima, June 19, 1891. I, Robert Louis Stevenson, Advocate of the Scots Bar, author of The Master of Ballantrae and Moral Emblems, stuck civil engineer, sole owner and patentee of the Palace and Plantation known as Vailima in the island of Upolu, Samoa, a British Subject, being in sound mind, and pretty well, I thank you, in body: In consideration that Miss Annie H. Ide, daughter of H.C. Ide, in the town of Saint Johnsbury, in the county of Caledonia, in the state of Vermont, United States of America, was born, out of all reason, upon Christmas Day, and is therefore out of all justice denied the consolation and profit of a proper birthday; And considering that I, the said Robert Louis Stevenson, have attained an age when O, we never mention it, and that I have now no further use for a birthday of any description; ... And in consideration that I have met H.C. Ide, the father of the said Annie H. Ide, and found him about as white a land commissioner as I require: Have transferred, and do hereby transfer, to the said Annie H. Ide, all and whole my rights and privileges in the thirteenth day of November, formerly my birthday, now, hereby, and henceforth, the birthday of the said Annie H. Ide, to have, hold, exercise, and enjoy the same in the customary manner, by the sporting of fine raiment, eating of rich meats, and receipt of gifts, compliments, and copies of verse, according to the manner of our ancestors; And I direct the said Annie H. Ide to add to the said name of Annie H. Ide the name Louisa — at least in private; and I charge her to use my said birthday with moderation and humanity, et tamquam bona filia familia, the said birthday not being so young as it once was, and having carried me in a very satisfactory manner since I can remember; And in case the said Annie H. Ide shall neglect or contravene either of the above conditions, I hereby revoke the donation and transfer my rights in the said birthday to the President of the United States of America for the time being: In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this nineteenth day of June in the year of grace eighteen hundred and ninety-one. Robert Louis Stevenson. Witness, Lloyd Osbourne, Witness, Harold Watts. To Ide Stevenson wrote, "Herewith please find the Document, which I trust will prove sufficient in law. It seems to me very attractive in its eclecticism; Scots, English, and Roman law phrases are all indifferently introduced, and a quotation from the works of Haynes Bailey can hardly fail to attract the indulgence of the Bench." A bizarre coincidence: Just before we recorded this episode I discovered that Robert Louis Stevenson's cousin, David Alan Stevenson, designed the Flannan Isles lighthouse! I'd had no inkling of this in planning or writing the episode; the two stories are set literally a world apart. "The Story of Esaw Wood," by W.E. Southwick, from Carolyn Wells' 1918 anthology Such Nonsense!: Esaw Wood sawed wood. Esaw Wood would saw wood! All the wood Esaw Wood saw Esaw Wood would saw. In other words, all the wood Esaw saw to saw Esaw sought to saw. Oh, the wood Wood would saw! And oh, the wood-saw with which Wood would saw wood. But one day Wood’s wood-saw would saw no wood, and thus the wood Wood sawed was not the wood Wood would saw if Wood’s wood-saw would saw wood. Now, Wood would saw wood with a wood-saw that would saw wood, so Esaw sought a saw that would saw wood. One day Esaw saw a saw saw wood as no other wood-saw Wood saw would saw wood. In fact, of all the wood-saws Wood ever saw saw wood Wood never saw a wood-saw that would saw wood as the wood-saw Wood saw saw wood would saw wood, and I never saw a wood-saw that would saw as the wood-saw Wood saw would saw until I saw Esaw Wood saw wood with the wood-saw Wood saw saw wood. Now Wood saws wood with the wood-saw Wood saw saw wood. Oh, the wood the wood-saw Wood saw would saw! Oh, the wood Wood’s woodshed would shed when Wood would saw wood with the wood-saw Wood saw saw wood! Finally, no man may ever know how much wood the wood-saw Wood saw would saw, if the wood-saw Wood saw would saw all the wood the wood-saw Wood saw would saw. Herewith, three reasons why old-school fandom is buzzing with such excitement for Peter Capaldi, when the historic pattern has been more guarded.
There's no movie or show to view this time! Instead, we gathered a few of our podcasters past and future to not just bring you updates on the oldies that we nostalgiamacated this year, but also share our favorite (and not-so-much) movies, series, and trends of 2013. Herewith, the meatiest chunks of our sprawling conversation.
Bewildered by the vast array of 1963-89 era Doctor Who stories? Not sure where to start? Herewith, men and gentleladies, Lawrence and I present our choices of good episodes to jump on with for each of the first seven Doctors. There is probably swearing. There usually is. Sorry about that. "Brian Hayles", "Dodo" and "Peter Strickland" are just several of the things you may wish to shout as our basic inability to remember things manifests itself yet again.
"Compliments of the season" is how Watson described his activities regarding a visit he paid to Holmes during the Christmas season. And we know "" as the sole Christmas story in the Canon of Sherlock Holmes stories. And rather than focus on the nostalgic and its place in the lineup of winter classics, we discuss how this classic fits in the pantheon of Holmes stories in its own right as a tale of friendship, crime, discovery and what we've come to realize as some of the typical Baker Street scenes. In an effort to pay homage to this Christmas classic, the Baker Street Irregulars in 1948 crafted a special edition of "The Blue Carbuncle" that included a wonderful essay by Christopher Morley titled "." About BLUE, Morley said, "it was superb art. It hasn't a word too many or two few." That essay itself has become something of a classic as well, and we're delighted to share it with our listeners here. After Burt inhabits the person of Morley for our reading, we come to a rather alarming and satisfying conclusion. We would be interested to hear if you share our assessment. We go on to express admiration for the dramatized versions of the story - particularly by Jeremy Brett and David Burke for Granada and Peter Cushing and Nigel Stock for the BBC. We even invent our own version of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon with one of the actors who appeared in each.As part of the holiday season, we also offered up our own - rather eclectic - list of gift ideas and sites where you might find the same. Herewith, the gift giving guide for Sherlockians (or perhaps those from the Steampunk crowd as well) during the holiday season: (Inverness capes for only $99!) - a Harris tweet version ($$$) - Inverness-style rain capes Two Sherlock Holmes chess sets: one from , and one from has vintage and custom clothing Randall Stock's list of the The Editor's Gas-Lamp: We round out the show with a reading of "," a version of "The Blue Carbuncle" that takes the form of Clement Moore's classic "A Visit From St. Nick." If you would like to read this poem for your own Sherlockian society meeting, please feel free to download or print it out - with attribution, of course.
Herewith a re-do of a poem I have done on an earlier podcast, this time with special attention to the meter. It is part of a series on Horace’s lyric meters. This installment focuses on a meter that scholars call variously Asclepiads, asclepiadeans, the First Asclepiad, and the Lesser Asclepiad. The name is given by […]
