IT admins are having to deal with many challenges on the rocky road to digital transformation. The importance of security, cloud adoption, cost savings, and the rapid evolution of SaaS-based applications is driving organizations to a hybrid workspace that requires different approaches to how endpoints are deployed, used, managed, and controlled. While the demand for applications is increasing, organizations are choosing to deploy a variety of platforms that bring together a hybrid mix of on-premises, virtual, and cloud-based workspaces in their environments. Whereas users expect more flexibility to work when and where they prefer, on their endpoint devices of choice with applications that ‘just work'.This shift towards cloud-based workspaces promotes a SaaS approach to deploy applications, which combines a number of components to provide expanded functionality as a service. Therefore, it has become vital to deploy tools that allow organizations to not only get an inventory of their used applications but also to understand how they are being deployed and used in their environments.Stratusphere UX monitors application performance by providing detailed metrics and diagnostics data that reveal blind spots to support IT teams and CIOs in making data-driven decisions.Host: Andy WhitesideCo-host: Chris FeeneyCo-host: Jaime Reynolds

Shawn and I also explore the benefits of creating systems that are intuitive and easy to follow, and how this can lead to improved efficiency and reduced stress for you and those you work and live with. In this episode of Agency That Build, we are joined by CEO, Founder at Backroom, Kara Redman. She is a marketing wonder and skilled question-asker and a problem-solver. She founded her own business in 2014, a brand strategy and activation agency after working in marketing for more than 15 years. She empowers a four-day workweek by dismantling the 9 to 5 workday routine. A humanist in a true sense.  Discussion points -  What is some sort of myth, bogus strategy? Something you misconception something you want to set the record straight on? 2:16 Was there somebody in your past who was like a mentor and influenced your journey? 4:48 What is the whole idea of impostor syndrome and the learnings from the mentors, how    do you implement these learnings in the in the way you are? 7:00 How do you define humanist? How being a humanist can help you be more successful. 9:52  How you guys work within that four day work week? How you make that work? 14:02 How do you take on new clients and type of work? Does the 4 day work week change anything for you on the type of work that you do? 18:05 What are the tools and PM system you are using? Can you divulge the tools in your suite? Will you share that secret sauce? 23:59 What are your thoughts on employee retention? How do you keep the your team engaged and inspired? 29:28 What is exciting you about the future? 37:24 Which your favourite tool? 38:33 Shownotes -  If you're open to always learning and being curious and growing over being right, or being admired, then the world is your mentor. 6:11 You get more out of people, when you meet them where they are on an emotional level, versus trying to force somebody to produce from fears, scare tactics, intimidation hierarchies. 10:50 We just set appropriate expectations, manage those expectations, follow through and show up and do the work. You don't have to cram everything in. 16:38 As a society, we learn when we speak about the things that we're trying and doing and what works and what doesn't. 21:05 Our rule is all documents are stored in Drive, you can link to them in Asana, we do all of our collaborative work in either mural or figma. 25:30 Employee retention should never be a goal, because to me, it implies a mentality of ownership. 30:00 We're really excited to see how AI continues to influence the work that we're doing. Like, for example, we're using AI for, like creative concepting right now, rather than doing like bespoke creative campaigns, and then, you know, creating based on what the clients sign off on. So, you know, we're really excited just to have more tools. 38:12 Links -  LinkedIn:  https://www.linkedin.com/in/kararedman/  Twitter: https://twitter.com/backroom  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/backroom.io/  Company website:  https://www.backroom.io/  Medium: https://medium.com/@kararedman  Myth Busted - The idea of a self-made man, there is always somebody who gives the first opportunity.  Show Credits -  Host - Varun Bihani & Jessie Coan Produced by Bobby Soni  Edited by Priyanka Sharma  Content by Aakash Damani, Yashika Neekhra, and Juhie Bhardwaj

There is a lot of confusion about the term “digital workspace.” If you have a remote workforce, then you have probably come across this term and may know that it is a way to help your employees have access to all of their applications and services regardless of where they are or what device they are using.Another term that you have probably come across is virtual desktop infrastructure. If you already have a VDI solution, does this mean you have a digital workspace?Given how confusing the terminology is, this is a very reasonable question to ask, so let's look at what the two things are and whether they do, indeed, serve the same purpose.Host: Andy WhitesideCo-Host: Chris Feeney

Most work environments look very different than they did mere months ago. The shift to remote work was violently accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing workplaces everywhere to manage internal and external challenges they never could have anticipated. Even companies with strong business continuity plans found themselves executing on them more rapidly than they had ever expected. Remaining operational and productive throughout management of a crisis is at the heart of every business continuity plan, but how do you spring into action to manage global-scale  challenges that previously seemed unfathomable?  On this episode of Transform It Forward, Paul chats with VP of Employee Experience at Manulife, Amy MacGregor.  For 15+ years, Amy has been a champion of efficient employee experiences that focus on human centred design and collaboration. Her “getting it done together” attitude is driving her team at Manulife through the COVID pandemic.   The two discuss:  1) Practices Manulife had in place that allowed for a smooth transition to remote work;2) The importance of empowering your team to make key decisions through a crisis;3) Creative ways to keep employees engaged and motivated in a remote environment;4) The long term effects your response to this (or any) crisis can have on company culture.

We're diving back into Season Three of the Process for Profit Show!  We are so excited to be back to give you all the strategies, systems and support for running your business and not letting it run you! I have some really amazing guests lined up this season that I cannot wait to share them with you so make sure you subscribe and get all the notes here and on my blog.  So today I want to dive into the topic of Productivity during overwhelming times. So we all know that 2020 has been interesting to say the least.  Maybe you have continued business as usual or maybe things have come to a screeching halt for you. I am hoping at the time of this recording that some things are getting back to normal. However, how do we stay productive during overwhelming times?  I want to first start off by saying that even though I am the Systems & Productivity Queen (the name others have given me not myself) I have been struggling HARD CORE during these past 4-6 months.  In January I was dealing with a client issue that resulted in a huge legal/financial battle.  In February I dealt with a lot of mindset issues around that legal issue thinking that I wasn't good enough to do this business. By March I was finally getting back to a place that I was ready to dive in and get back to business and then the Coronavirus hit and it all went downhill. April came and I was dealing with home school and being home with the kids 24/7 while running a business.  By the time May was here I was tapping out of homeschool and treading water keeping up with business, clients and the house. We finally got back on track in June and back to “somewhat normal” But during all of that, I was still pretty productive and still made forward momentum towards goals. How did I do it?  Systems that were in place before things got crazy. This is why systems and processes are SO important during times of change.  Here are the different things that helped: Asana - Personal and Business tasks and projects Alexa - Grocery list and dinner ideas list 3 P's of Productivity - Go check out that episode - end of day routine Digital Workspace setup Inbox Detox - My Email management system Be a Better CEO and Stop Letting Things Slip Through the Cracks!!
