Hi everyone.  Mr_K and Musketshot had the pleasure of interviewing Fabio Rosa, one of the co-founders of Coffeenauts an indie game company based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  Coffeenauts new game is Spacelines from the Far Out.  It's a fantastic rougelike space travel game, where you are the pilot transporting alien passengers from one space terminal to another.  Along with your pilot duties, you need to tend to the passenger's needs, which mean feeding them, dancing for them, stopping at a rest area, or just getting them to the terminal on time.  Watch out for asteroids, keep an eye on the gas gauge, and keep your ship tidy, because you never know when the inspector will show up.You'll dig the 60's retro space look of the terminals.In this interview, we talk about Coffeenauts and the game.  Fabio has great insights in being a developer and excellent advice for those looking to go this route.Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/INDIEstructable)

Horror, Indie Video Games, and Deeper Insights - This Week We Play INSIDE by Playdead! Casual gamer Justin Weaver and serious gamer Ryan Swindoll are joined by The Story Geeks co-host Sandra Dimas to dig deeper into Inside, a horror indie video game by Playdead! Inside (the game) can take around 3 and a half hours to complete and rewards replay. It can also be viewed on youtube with or without a player commentary in less than 2 hours. IGN gave this game a 10 out of 10. It is the "spiritual sequel" to Playdead's first game Limbo. This game is rated M for blood, gore, and violence. Spoiler Warning: we jump right into the content and experience of this whole game. What does a game that centers heavily on mind control have to say about the value of individuals? The game's creators have said very little about the meaning of this game, so how do we handle the variety of possible interpretations? So speaking of Momocon, this was the first year where they really blew up their video gaming to something truly huge. Something special. they called it the MGX, or Momocon Gaming Experience. Not only was there tons of tabletop gaming to be had, or console gaming, or even an arcade, as they had all of these things. But what Momocon also had, was an indies space for video games. And along with our pals from Chainsaw Buffet, we played almost all of them. These are those stories. As recorded late at night during some night at Momocon.
