We got the opportunity to get Jeff on the other side of the table. You will find that he is a humble solid source of k9 information. He certainly helped play a role in unifying trainers in this industry. Those of us who have been around awhile remember a time when there wasn't much collaboration. The original Police K9 Magazine most definitely played a role in bringing trainers together. I think we can all agree that we are better unified than divided. We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did. There are some great take aways. Jeff Meyer retired in 2023 after serving more than 33 years with the Denver Police Department. Jeff has handled, certified and deployed dogs that have been used to find suspects, narcotics, explosives, guns, currency, and evidence. Jeff spent over 17 years in the Patrol dog section working several patrol dogs before being tasked with starting a new detection K-9 unit for his department. When he retired he was involved in training dog teams in all divisions for his agency. In total Jeff was a handler for 27 years and a trainer for his agency 23 of those years. Jeff regularly teaches classes for patrol and detection K9 teams across the U.S. To date over 1000 teams have participated in Jeff's e-collar training. In addition, he has provided expert witness testimony on behalf of officers.Jeff hosts a popular podcast on all things police K9 related, you can find the links below:You can reach Jeff at JeffMeyer1@outlook.com or 303-947-5735 We are pleased to have Hold The Line K9 Conference htlk9.com as a sponsor of the The Working Dog Depot Podcast. “That really hit home for me that as long as I was working for someone else, I was never probably going to get where I wanted to be,” shares Jason Stendalen, owner and agent of c4 Insurance Company. Jason and his wife are serial entrepreneurs with 4 businesses between the two of them. Jason's goal with c4 is to really shake up the industry and change the way people think about insurance. In spite of encountering many challenges and having to fully restart from zero multiple times in a row, Jason has always maintained his resilience and consistency. Each new start was met head on and he did not let the fear of failure get in his way. It can be daunting to step outside the box and keep moving forward even after setbacks. Jason attributes much of his resilience to having a strong support system encouraging him and holding him accountable each step of the way. If you have been considering stepping out on your own and becoming an entrepreneur, don't let fear of trying something new hold you back. Even if you do not succeed right away, keep going anyway. As long as you believe in yourself and really love what you do, you will find a way to make it work. If you have been considering stepping out onto a new path and pursuing your dreams of entrepreneurship, don't be afraid to try. Stay resilient and consistent, even in the face of challenges or roadblocks, and you may be surprised by all that you can achieve. Quotes • “That really hit home for me that as long as I was working for someone else, that I was never probably going to get where I wanted to be, or they were going to require things that I didn't want to do. And so that just kind of hit home for me that maybe I needed to find a different avenue to pursue my dreams.” (8:37-8:58 | Jason) • “No matter what industry you're in, I think there's bad apples out there that kind of ruin that for all of us. And there's people that are ethical and do things maybe not the way that most of us would probably appreciate. And so I just really wanted to change that. And so C4 was created because I wanted to just change the industry.” (14:37-14:58 | Jason) • “I think just being honest and living by the golden rule and just treating people the way that we want to be treated, I think that goes a long way. And I think that gets lost today.” (19:06-19:17 | Jason) • “Just growing and maintaining our current path, that's our primary focus is to just continue to do a good job.” (30:12-30:19 | Jason) • “You have to take a step outside the box. You have to do something that you haven't already tried. Don't be afraid to fail.” (32:12-32:19 | Jason) • “Talk to someone that's going to support and encourage these movements, these thoughts, these actions, and someone that's going to hold you accountable to actually taking steps towards it. That's the only way you're going to get there.” (32:48-33:00 | Jason) Links Get in touch with Jason Stendalen: Website: www.C4ins.com Ph# (608)824-7267 Email: jason@c4ins.com Address: 8446 Excelsior Drive Ste 2, Madison, WI 53717 Get in touch with host Jeff Meyer: www.jeffmeyercoaching.com Book a FREE 30-Minute Dream Discovery Call with Jeff: https://calendly.com/d/dk6-mzr-dsq Schedule a Discovery Call with Jeff: https://go.oncehub.com/DreamAcceleratorDiscoveryCall Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

Fentanyl is a huge problem in our country and seems to be getting worse. The question of whether or not to imprint our narcotics dogs on this drug is complex. “I think pastors have been removed from leadership development all the way up to ordination, and I think that grieves the heart of God,” shares Pastor Tim Ahlman with the Christ Greenfield church. Tim is a third generation pastor and leader with the Unite Leadership Collective. His dream is to unite congregations and work together to multiply disciples as a collective. Leadership development and discipleship are two sides of the same coin and without strong leaders, the church will not be able to spread the message of God to as many people. Many pastors make the mistake of getting more caught up in the show and in being a big personality rather than actually growing the church. As a pastoral leader, you need to fall in love with development and bringing more people to Jesus' table. Without strong leadership, the collective will fall apart and the mission of spreading God's love to as many people as possible before Jesus returns will fail. Pastors may face internal and external resistance when presented with the idea of change, but it is important to push through that and recognize that fear and resistance as the voice of Satan. Ministry often feels isolating as pastors have been wrongly led to believe that it is wrong for them to have friends. However, no one can do everything alone, even Jesus had friends. Find people who can be your safety net and work together to reach your dreams. If you feel the calling to pastoral leadership, do not let fear stop you from spreading the message of God's love. It takes time to build trust between congregations, but coming together allows for a greater multiplication of discipleship. Quotes • “Discipleship is more caught than taught.” (5:52-5:54 | Tim) • “Everything rises and falls on leadership. And by the grace of God, I am in a very healthy circuit and a very healthy district.” (12:03-12:12 | Tim) • “It's a slow go in building trust between congregations. It does not happen overnight.” (16:45-16:49 | Tim) • “This is not about me. This is about Him, and then it's about our work together.” (23:43-23:49 | Tim) • “My desire is not to win. My desire is simply to stay in the game and run with perseverance the race set out for me.” (24:47-24:55 | Tim) • “I see leadership development and discipleship as two sides of the same coin.” (30:36-30:41 | Tim) • “I think pastors have been removed from leadership development all the way up to ordination, and I think that grieves the heart of God.” (35:49-34:56 | Tim) • “Fear is from Satan, and I'm not bringing shame here. It should have no place in the heart of the follower of Jesus.” (38:23-38:31 | Tim) Links Get in touch with Tim Ahlman: Website: https://christgreenfield.church/ Email: tahlman@cglchurch.org Email: info@cglchurch.org Phone: 480.892.8521 Uniteleadership.org Lead Time podcasts: https://www.uniteleadership.org/lead-time-podcast American Reformation podcasts: https://https://american reformation.buzzsprout.com United Leadership Collective: https://www.uniteleadership.org/ Christ Greenfield Church: https://christgreenfield.church/ Get in touch with host Jeff Meyer: www.jeffmeyercoaching.com Book a FREE 30-Minute Dream Discovery Call with Jeff: https://calendly.com/d/dk6-mzr-dsq Schedule a Discovery Call with Jeff: https://go.oncehub.com/DreamAcceleratorDiscoveryCall Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

“Don't ever doubt God. If you feel led to do this, if you feel a strong enough passion for this, there's a reason. And you've got to walk through that door,” shares Paige Risley, co-owner of We Recruit Well alongside longtime friend Beth Moffatt. Both Paige and Beth felt called to help business owners who were struggling to balance their business life with their family life. These two may have been friends prior to starting their business, but it is their differences that are their biggest strengths. Beth and Paige differ in where they excel in the business so much so that they think of themselves as salt and pepper. This works out perfectly so that they can divide and conquer to get everything done between the two of them. Together, they help to match overworked business owners with the perfect assistant for them, one who aligns with their values. This helps these entrepreneurs fill in the gaps where they were struggling and take tasks off their plates so that they can regain time for their families and personal lives. If you feel passionate about helping others and feel like you are being called to start a business, there is a reason for it. Don't be afraid to take the first step through any door God holds open for you. Quotes • “They're saying, ‘I just need more time with my family, and I want to be in my business. But I don't want to be so up in it all the time'.” (12:14-12:23 | Beth) • “We are salt and pepper. God just put us together perfectly for this business.” (16:00-16:09 | Beth) • “When I get on a call, the first thing I want to know is what is your need? I want to hear them out. I never start with what we can provide because how can I know what we can provide till I know where the gaps are for them?” (23:41-23:56 | Beth) • “We're always looking for someone who aligns with their values, with the business or church or nonprofit values in some way because that is above everything.” (35:46-35:59 | Beth) • “Don't ever doubt God. If you feel led to do this, if you feel a strong enough passion for this, there's a reason. And you got to walk through that door.” (47:14-47:28 | Paige) Links Get in touch with Beth Moffatt & Paige Risley at We Recruit Well: Website: https://werecruitwell.com/ Email: hello@werecruitwell.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/werecruitwell/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/werecruitwell/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/we-recruit-well/about/ Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/werecruitwell/ Contact Us: https://forms.zohopublic.com/werecruitwell/form/ContactUs1/formperma/78irZzEEhsuDsw5gkqXyj14oHjU6jaxbpiM3O3ZP_fQ Get in touch with host Jeff Meyer: www.jeffmeyercoaching.com Book a FREE 30-Minute Dream Discovery Call with Jeff: https://calendly.com/d/dk6-mzr-dsq Schedule a Discovery Call with Jeff: https://go.oncehub.com/DreamAcceleratorDiscoveryCall Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

“You can either be an owner or an operator. You can't do both all the time,” explains Brian Robinson, Co-Founder, and Co-Owner, of The Perfect Grounds, LLC. First a climber for a local tree business, Brian dreamed of opening a business of his own. Now stewarding the gifts of God, Brian's dream has come to life. We may not always feel prepared, but when God calls us, we can't ignore it. When Brian was faced with a project that other companies turned down, he prayed on it and then succeeded. Although it would be simpler not to own a business and just work for someone else, Brian took on the difficulties of his industry and has been rewarded for his leap of faith. If you trust that God will lead the way, you'll be surprised how much you can grow. In life, you have to ask yourself, “are you an owner or operator?” Learn more about Brian's religious journey, how he tackled a challenging project, and why God will equip you if you step up. Quotes • “You can either be an owner or an operator. You can't do both all the time.” (5:18-5:25 | Brian) • “It's been a wild ride, and I've learned so much.” (16:38-16:46 | Brian) • “We step out in faith and do what he's telling us to do regardless. Just go. He'll equip you as you go.” (24:09-24:18 | Brian) • “Quit ignoring God's calling.” (29:11-29:13 | Brian) • “He will equip you, He will show you, but you have to step out.” (29:24-29:29 | Brian) • “I'm not anywhere near done. I'm still believing, pushing. And when that door opens, I will jump through it. It's going to happen.” (30:42-30:51 | Brian) Links Get in touch with Brian Robinson: Website: www.theperfectgrounds.com Ph# 865.363.7133 Get in touch with host Jeff Meyer: www.jeffmeyercoaching.com Book a FREE 30-Minute Dream Discovery Call with Jeff: https://calendly.com/d/dk6-mzr-dsq Schedule a Discovery Call with Jeff: https://go.oncehub.com/DreamAcceleratorDiscoveryCall Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
