Before we start, feel free to support the podcast if you’ve been listening for a while by signing up for my Patreon for $1 and I will love you forever. Jump Start Records was born in a college dorm room first as a paper mailorder catalog and zine that quickly evolved into a vinyl 7″ release with Montreal’s The Planet Smashers. Twenty years and over 100 releases later, they’re still here, for better or for worse, fighting the good fight. While the focus and drive of the label has shifted greatly over the years, one thing has stayed true and that’s a personal connection with the music and a desire to work with their friends releasing music that they love. Times are tough, and being an independent record label in the year 2017 isn’t easy; getting people to pay attention to a small record label run out of a suburban Philadelphia basement is no easy task, but they hope you enjoy what you find as much as they enjoy introducing the world to bands and music they think people ought to know. They don’t give a fuck what bands you’ve played with, who you recorded with, or how many followers you have on social media. If they like it, they like it, and there’s not much else to say. It doesn’t matter if it’s punk, hardcore, ska, soul, hip-hop, or jazz, when the record needle hits you know it when you hear it. Shout out to Adam Fowler of the Overdrives for the intro to Jeremy. Neshaminy Creek Brewing What he’s doing for the 25 year anniversary How did they stand out as a label Going on Warped Tour with Belvedere His love of LWL A Wilhelm Scream His thoughts on the Napster era Dealing with people Working with distributors The shit going on with Interpunk Trying to release an Animal Chin record And a ton more Go check out www.jumpstartrecords.com to see what they’re up to for the 25 year anniversary. This week the gang goes back in time to an episode we recorded back towards quarantine, where we sat down to enjoy Neshaminy Creek Brewing! While our biggest difficulty was trying to pronounce Neshaminy, we had no difficulty enjoying these delicious beers. We tried a few beers, the Cherry Hibiscus Wheat, Strange Rituals Red IPA and the Shape of Hops to Come Double IPA.https://neshaminycreekbrewing.com/"Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company was founded in 2010 by head brewmaster Jeremy Myers and assistant brewers Rob Jahn and Steve Capelli. It takes its name from the nearby creek of the same name, from which it draws water for its beer. The facility itself, located at 909 Ray Avenue, officially opened on June 1, 2012. In 2013, the Churchville Lager won a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival.[5] In 2016, Neshaminy Creek won two bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival for their Vienna Lager and their smoked beer.In 2016, Neshaminy Creek announced the opening of a location and tasting room in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia.[7]The company brews six year-round beers and several seasonal beers, which are distributed to the greater Philadelphia area and New Jersey."Give our episode a listen to see what we think of these beers and give you some information on Neshaminy's origin story! Millions of Christians have questions about church and how to find true Christian fellowship. In this podcast interview, Richard Jacobson and Jeremy Myers discuss how to be the church and why Hebrews 10:25 does not teach that all Christians must attend a church service on Sunday morning. Church fellowship is critical, but there are a variety of ways God leads us to find this fellowship.
In this interview with Shawn Lazar, we discuss his book "Chosen to Serve" and how divine election is to service; not to eternal life. After presenting the concept of election as it is taught in Scripture, we discuss Acts 13:48, 1 Peter 1:2, and 2 Peter 1:10-11. By listening to the episode, you can learn how to get 50% off his book.

Jeremy Myers is a blogger, author, and podcaster at RedeemingGod.com. Jeremy shares how he moved from megachurch pastor wannabe through abandonment and depression to find life in Jesus anew. That period of spiritual darkness stripped away many beliefs, friends, and practices that Jeremy was putting trust in until he was free. Finally, Jeremy found that while Jesus seemed to be far away, he wasn't really (listen to the heart rock story for that). Jeremy's story is one that proves God is there in our darkest hours and that even when we think we are abandoning him, we might be moving away from religion and closer to personal relationship. Please listen and share with a friend! Stories Jeremy shared: Growing up in a Christian home as a pastor's kid When his friend died in a hiking accident and how that changed his life's direction His education at Moody, Denver Seminary, and Dallas Theological Seminary Getting fired from a job because of changing theological beliefs The depression that came after “the rug was pulled out from under” him Why he and his wife left church and stopped doing devotions How they began to find Jesus everywhere (including heart rocks) His books and online discipleship program (see links below) Great quotes from Jeremy: Why are these non-Christian neighbors who I've only known for two years more like Christ to me? The safest thing for us is to stop praying and then maybe good things will come our way. When we stopped depending on that Sunday morning experience…Jesus became more real to us than ever before. This episode we set up at a beer fest we’ve never recorded at before, Hop Rods and Hops at Neshaminy Creek Brewing. This annual event features several local breweries, food trucks, live music from Soul Custody and, of course, lots of cool cars. We sat down with Neshaminy Creek brewer and co-owner Jeremy Myers to talk about the event and kick off the day with some stellar (and award-winning) beers. Then, we ran down the lineup of visiting breweries, chatting with some new friends and old, and sampling many of the concoctions on offer. This event was a blast, and always benefits a good cause – this year, proceeds went to the Croydon VFW.
Today's episode is an interview with Jeremy Myers, graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Dallas Theological Seminary and prolific writer about all things theological. With Jeremy Myers at Neshaminy Creek Brewing On the road this time in Croydon, PA, we sat down with head brewer and co-owner of Neshaminy Creek Brewing, Jeremy Myers. Our conversation ebbed and flowed across a wide range of topics while other brewers were busy “makin’ the J.A.W.N.” Dan reported on some news, including Stone’s first special release at their Richmond, VA location and a rather unfortunate beer name, and we played The Beer Seller in Happy Fun Time. All while we sampled a wide array of Neshaminy’s top-notch brews.

I recently spent several hours discussing life and theology with people who have left traditional church and are seeking to follow Jesus in new ways. This episode of Theology.fm looks at some of the things we talked about, and how you too might be asking similar questions about how to follow Jesus in a more relational way.
In this first episode of Theology.fm, Jeremy Myers not only explains why theology is so important, but also that the most important thing to remember about theology is that we must not take ourselves too seriously.
