Trechos do livro " The Sermon on the Mount According to Vedanta”, de Swami Prabhavananda.Swami Prabhavananda (1893 - 1976) foi um renomado monge hindu da Ordem Ramakrishna e discípulo direto de Swami Brahmananda.Nascido na Índia, Prabhavananda ingressou na vida monástica ainda jovem, dedicando-se à prática espiritual e ao estudo do Vedanta. Em 1923, foi enviado aos Estados Unidos, onde fundou a Vedanta Society of Southern California. Conhecido por sua colaboração com traduções e comentários de textos sagrados como a Bhagavad Gita e os Upanishads, Prabhavananda tornou-se uma figura central na disseminação do Vedanta no Ocidente.Seus ensinamentos baseavam-se na filosofia védica, enfatizando a unidade de todas as religiões e a realização do divino interior. Prabhavananda ensinava a importância da meditação, da devoção e do autoconhecimento, guiando seus discípulos a integrar a espiritualidade na vida cotidiana. Prabhavananda também abordava os ensinamentos de Jesus Cristo sob a perspectiva do Vedanta, interpretando suas palavras como expressões de verdades universais sobre a natureza divina e a união com Deus.
