We get a check-in from the Pest Nest. We see how an infant Michael is so much like his father, according to Anna. Sits around, drools, sleeps a good amount. Like Smuggar Duggar like son. We get an update on the Taco Lot and watch Anna getting a view of her potential future by taking care of a gaggle of children by herself. In our Dig, we review the US justice system's response to Pest's 2255 Motion. Last week we got to watch one Duggar male get exposed on how useless he can be. This week we got to hear the Country's Legal System, explain thoroughly and repeatedly how another Duggar's arguments are not only untimely, but also lacking any semblance of merit. As some of the scandal came to light, several of the Duggar children, including Jill and Jinger, have opened up about what it was like growing up in that environment. But for the first time, Amy Duggar King--a close relative who spent almost every day with her 19 cousins and her aunt and uncle--brings the story into sharp relief, vulnerably sharing not only what life was like with the Duggars but how she, at the end of the day, had her own broken home to return to, a home that was hiding many other secrets.Amy knows what it's like to be coerced and have her voice silenced. Her story reveals a world of unrealistic expectations and gaslighting in which a normal young woman had to untangle a web of carefully crafted lies while fighting to protect her own mental health. In that world, she was branded "Crazy Cousin Amy"--an identity she didn't choose but was forced to live into.In Holy Disruptor, Amy gives her unfiltered testimony to finally break free from the toxic cycles that swirled around her and to confront the trauma she endured off-camera.In the years since the Duggar family collapse, Amy has intentionally dissociated from the toxic family environment, which has helped her learn how to be a "holy disruptor" and make life-changing decisions for her well-being. This is a story about how she discovered that disrupting such deception is a holy act that brings freedom and joy . . . and it applies to you too. No matter what you've been told or how you've been manipulated in the past, freedom is waiting for you. It's time to use your voice and get loud with the truth.✖️✖️✖️CONNECT WITH THE SHOW:preacherboyspodcast.comhttps://www.youtube.com/@PreacherBoyshttps://www.facebook.com/preacherboysdoc/https://twitter.com/preacherboysdochttps://www.instagram.com/preacherboyspodhttps://www.tiktok.com/@preacherboyspodTo connect with a community that shares the Preacher Boys Podcast's mission to expose abuse in the IFB, join the OFFICIAL Preacher Boys Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1403898676438188/✖️✖️✖️The content presented in this video is for informational and educational purposes only. For years, viewers of 19 Kids and Counting watched the Duggar family portray a picture of traditional Christian values. But behind the reality-TV smiles was a darker story of manipulation, control, and hidden abuse. While sisters like Jill and Jinger Duggar have spoken out, this week's guest offers a perspective we've never heard before. Amy Duggar King—known to millions as “Cousin Amy”—was there nearly every day, woven into the Duggar world. But even as she navigated the toxic dynamics within her famous extended family, she was returning home to her own secrets and struggles. For years she lived under labels she didn't choose, branded “Crazy Cousin Amy” while quietly enduring coercion and gaslighting. Now, with her new book Holy Disruptor, Amy is ready to share her story fully and honestly. In this conversation, she opens up about what it was like growing up surrounded by deception, how she learned to reclaim her voice, and why disrupting toxic cycles is not rebellion—it's sacred. For W. Neil Duggar, PhD, DABR, everything on his path to leadership in academic medicine started with fully understanding his own “why.” That process of understanding your purpose, who you are, and how that dictates what success will look like, and whether you are making progress, is a central theme within today's broader leadership discussion. Dr. Duggar currently serves as an Associate Professor and Director of Medical Physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Learning to lead without formal authority is important in our field because, as Dr. Duggar puts it, “most of us don't have authority or a title most of our careers, if we ever do get one, so learning to lead without authority becomes a very powerful combination of skills.” Embracing feedback and constructive criticism about yourself is vital to this discussion because, without this journey to self-awareness, it's very easy for leaders to fall into the trap of “your own legend.” “You can start believing your opinion and feedback are most important, but the reality is that there will always be voices you need to listen to outside of your own,” he said. We thank Dr. Duggar for reaching out to us via the Faculty Factory inbox and requesting to be a guest on this show! If you have something to share within your corner of the academic medicine world as a guest, please send us a message: https://facultyfactory.org/contact-us/ After you listen to Dr. Duggar's interview, for more fantastic podcast episodes, please check out our show's archives: https://facultyfactory.org/podcast-topics/
The technological landscape is evolving at breakneck speed, and AI stands at the forefront of this transformation. But how can HR professionals and business leaders navigate this new terrain effectively?Dr. Keith Duggar, CTO of X-Ray and co-host of Machine Learning Street Talk, brings clarity to this complex topic through a lens shaped by his fascinating career trajectory. From his roots in chemical engineering to high-frequency trading on Wall Street, then to Microsoft, and now leading an innovative AI startup, Dr. Duggar offers practical wisdom for organizations grappling with AI adoption. His company, X-Ray Glass, emerged from a deeply human need – creating augmented reality subtitles for those with hearing impairments. This mission of "subtitling life" exemplifies how AI can enhance human connection rather than diminish it. Through this work, Dr. Duggar has developed invaluable mental models for understanding large language models that cut through the hype and confusion."They're order of magnitude more efficient search engines," Dr. Duggar explains, while cautioning about their limitations, particularly hallucinations – convincingly wrong information that can appear authoritative. His advice? Approach AI as an interactive dialogue, start simple, refine iteratively, and always verify critical information through traditional sources.Looking ahead, Dr. Duggar envisions a shift toward "constellations of narrow intelligences" rather than ever-larger general models, with specialized AI tools working in concert to solve complex problems. For organizations seeking to harness AI's potential, he recommends practical approaches like hackathons and workshops alongside robust governance frameworks addressing privacy and misinformation risks.Whether you're an AI skeptic or enthusiast, this conversation offers a balanced perspective on embracing innovation while mitigating risk. Dillon King steps out from behind the scenes to reveal himself as far more than just "Amy Duggar's husband" on this fascinating episode of the B-Team Podcast. Sipping Blanton's bourbon with us, Dillon unveils his impressive portfolio of businesses that few people know about. As founder of Kingston Investment Group, Dillon has quietly amassed a collection of commercial properties that have tripled in value since 2019. His philosophy? "I'm not a big fan of just parking my money in a bank and letting them loan it out and make all the money." This buy-and-hold strategy forms the backbone of his and Amy's retirement plan, providing tangible assets they can touch and feel regardless of market fluctuations.Dillon also shares insights into Property Improvements, the construction company started by his father, where he now applies his architecture background to projects ranging from boutique renovations to complete new builds. With disarming honesty, he recounts lessons learned from his father about quality construction and building things right the first time—even if it means adding that extra two-by-four that seemed unnecessary to his younger self. The conversation takes a fascinating turn when Dillon discusses life married to a reality TV personality and reveals details about Amy's forthcoming memoir, Holy Disruptor, scheduled for October release. He offers a glimpse into the emotional journey of writing a book that covers everything from Amy's childhood with an abusive father to her experiences with the Duggar family and establishing healthy boundaries. Most exciting is Dillon's revelation about his newest venture—The Parlor Club, an exclusive 8,000-square-foot, members-only establishment planned for the Rogers/Pinnacle area. This sophisticated space will cater to Northwest Arkansas's growing need for upscale social venues where business leaders can relax without constant interruptions.Whether you're curious about investment strategies, Northwest Arkansas's explosive growth, or the realities of life adjacent to reality TV fame, Dillon's straightforward insights and entrepreneurial vision make this episode essential listening. It's double-length episode time! TLC has put together another round of Q&A, pulling questions from folks on video and twitter. We do have to question their choice of interview area setup. They put up a background and then proceeded to film with only half of it in the shot. With the family taking a barrage of questions about how they operate, we get treated to another recitation of their memorized script that they all learn so well. We also both agree that Lego Hair's "I'm imparting wisdom" voice is super annoying. They end with Lego making a "big announcement". In the update(totally not a mini dig or anything haha), Whitney guides us through Pest's last chance effort to have his court case thrown out. Just be aware, the claims he made have more holes in them than his prison-issued undies. Enjoy what you hear? Would you like to support our summertime puzzle habit in Glendale, Arizona? We found the Discovery Channel commercial episode. We join the Duggars, alongside other Discovery personnel volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. We saw a good amount of inappropriate attire. I'm not sure when OSHA approved flippy floppies as construction zone footwear. It wasn't all just swinging hammers, we watched a large chunk of the family roast Josh on camera. In our Dig, we look at Billy G's message to alumni: the most important battle is with that damn tongue of yours! The crucial lesson of "Taming your Tongue" is to just stay quiet about anything problematic. And always remember: the real problem is you. It's the worst when you tell people the truth if it makes them look bad. You're only allowed to bring bad things up to the person who did them, and YOU are the one who has to ask for forgiveness. Should probably watch Somebody Feed Phil to cleanse the palate after that. Enjoy what you hear? Would you like to support our newfound Personal Pan Pizza habit in Glendale, Arizona? There's lots of Duggars to choose to center an episode around, yet who got picked? Our favorite duo? No. The Duggirls? No. We got an episode focusing on Pest and Lego Hair. Cringe warning is advised. We watch Pest try to put together a grill and then use it to teach life lessons. For Lego Hair's birthday Cannon takes him to get an allergy test and, oddly, kinda shames him for his weight. In our Dig, we look at more ways that old Billy G's system allows for rampant abuse by insisting on only giving a good report of other Christians (Matthew 18). Don't even think about talking to other people, because that obviously means you don't love the lord. Enjoy what you hear? Welcome back, readers! It's good to see you again! It's less good to get back to talking about the Duggars though. In this episode, Jake tells Brooke about the history of the Duggars as political figures, and weaves the story of their cult leader, Bill Gothard. They do not have particularly kind things to say about that man - or really anyone in power in these stories. Turns out staying under their umbrellas leads to destruction! We get the full Fundie Family Experience this week. It's a Bates-Duggars event. Some kids get to fiddlin'. Some participate in Whitney's bloodsport of choice:4-square. The dads get to pat each other on the back for having so many kids. We watch a very red-faced Bates boy get so uncomfortable when he gets to sit next to a young woman that's not in his family. In our Dig, we look into hospitality within IBLP. What they say it is for, the rewards you get for it, and the copious amounts of rules and strings that are attached to it. Forgiveness isn't optional—it's essential. Jesus calls us to receive God's mercy by faith, confess our sins honestly, and forgive others freely. When we release what's been done to us, we discover the true freedom and healing found only in Christ. Recorded Live at Brookwood Church on 07/20/2025
Watch as Lego forgets to send the dress code memo to the rest of the family at a "Christian media event." We get to watch Duggar Time happen and the impact it has on the crew. The brood rolls into the Georgia Aquarium and get a meet n' greet with a couple of penguins. We get a multitude of Jinger faces and watch Cannon get her engine revved up for her man in a wetsuit...ew (I didn't even like typing that).A couple of episodes ago we saw Jill "teaching" some young kids in a blue polo with the Children's Institute logo on it. Whoa! The storied Duggar moments were on deck in this episode. Cannon's celebrity crush just invited the brood to come to HIS church in Atlanta. While they were rehearsing, we witnessed "The Fall"! Jason fell into the orchestra pit, and we get a clear view of why Jackson is such a sweet, thoughtful child. We proceed to watch Cannon, just out putting on a show for all the people on the lake. It was so risque that they had to censor it. Duggars Gone Wild, Woo!In our Dig, we are at part 2 of ALERT. We explore the cost and content of the different phases of the program. We hear accounts from folks that were participants in it, and see how the program is getting on these days. On this episode I'm beginning this series of my story with the Institute in Basic Life Principles or IBLP - which you may recognize from the Amazon documentary featuring the Duggar family from TLC's 19 Kids and Counting. They may have been on a reality tv show, but this is my story of how these teachings played out in my day to day real life. This is the Principle 1 episode in a series arc on the 7 principles of Bill Gothard.Referenced in this Episode:Shiny Happy People SEND US A TEXTSupport the Show | Buy Me a CoffeeLeave Us A Voicemail | 980.355.9665 Interact with Mediocre Mystic:Web | Email | Substack | X Twitter | Facebook | Instagram | TikTok | YouTube Subscribe & Follow | Rate & ReviewApple | Spotify | Substack | YouTubeMusic by '86 Aerostar | Logo by Bizri Creative Group
Are the AI models you use today imposters? Please watch the intro video we did before this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1q6Hhz0MAgIn this episode, hosts Dr. Tim Scarfe and Dr. Duggar are joined by AI researcher Prof. Kenneth Stanley and MIT PhD student Akash Kumar to discuss their fascinating paper, "Questioning Representational Optimism in Deep Learning."Imagine you ask two people to draw a perfect skull. One is a brilliant artist who understands anatomy, the other is a machine that just traces the image. Both drawings look identical, but the artist understands what a skull is—they know where the mouth is, how the jaw works, and that it's symmetrical. The machine just has a tangled mess of lines that happens to form the right picture. An AI with an elegant representation, has the building blocks to generate truly new ideas. The Path Is the Goal: As Kenneth Stanley puts it, "it matters not just where you get, but how you got there". Two students can ace a math test, but the one who truly understands the concepts—instead of just memorizing formulas—is the one who will go on to make new discoveries. The show is a mixture of 3 separate recordings we have done, the original Patreon warmup with Tim/Kenneth, the Tim/Keith "Steakhouse" recorded after the main interview, then the main interview with Kenneth/Akarsh/Keith/Tim. Feel free to skip around. We had to edit this in a rush as we are travelling next week but it's reasonably cleaned up. Cannon really had to clean up her rep these last couple episodes. She can't have us thinking that she doesn't do anything. She was reading prenap stories and now we watch her doing homeschool with the Little Ones. The pop-up did say that Jessa helps, "occasionally." Sure, Jan. It's ATI Conference time! We get a flash of the Lost Boys at Alert Cadet Camp. The "little ladies" are, of course, taking care of children. The whole crew attends an "International Day" at a local Elementary School. We watch them make "torteelyuhs".In our Dig, we take a look at the genesis of the ALERT Academy and ALERT Cadet program. It's so inspirational it made IBLP Dads weep. We look at how they sell the Cadet program as: it's just Boy Scouts with a splash of religion. Behind the scenes it's a group based in dogma to develop a righteous army for the Lord...with Smores!Enjoy what you hear? Feel like you have a Servant's Heart? Get your sleeping bag ready, 'cause the gang is camping out in front of the house. I hope there's fire extinguisher in the area because Lego Hair is cooking hot dogs and chicken on the grill. Joe was the VIP in this episode. Setting up the tent while Lego stood there uselessly. Coordinating a lost boys' painting project. He's getting a little light shone upon him. In our Dig, we take a look at the Christian flag. We discuss its genesis, the pledge made to go with it, and we learn of, arguably, the coolest last name ever: Diffendorfer. Enjoy what you hear? Jesus warns us to seek God's approval rather than the approval of people. Recorded Live at Brookwood Church on 06/22/2025
TLC was thoughtful this time and didn't make us sit through more footage of the gang driving for 20 hours! We fast forward to them at Niagara Falls. They all talked about how beautiful it was, but there were rainbows everywhere (gasp)! The older ones got to ride a jet boat while the little ones got to go fishing and stay dry. Appropriate for a show that includes Lego Hair, and Pest, we dig into the IBLP teachings on "irritations". Billy G sure knows how to build a pyramid scheme where you consider yourself the problem. The only appropriate thing to do in response to this is "yielding" all of your rights. We explore Billy's convoluted way of gaslighting his followers into denying how they feel and blame themselves for everything. Enjoy what you hear? Feel like you have a Servant's Heart? On location at the TTM, Lego Hair says the quiet part loud when he says that "We" are gonna start a large scale yard project, and then proceeds to do nothing to help complete it. You know it's a shitshow when the production crew has to step to try and help them finish. We get treated to another montage of Famy attempting to cook and the fam celebrates Anna's birthday. Summertime has arrived which means you may have seen banners for Vacation Bible School going up around town. We explore the genesis of VBS and the changes over the years. Two different companies run the VBS paraphernalia game and we look into some questionable choices they've made. Enjoy what you hear? Feel like you have a Servant's Heart? The Duggars have such a busy day. Good Morning America is there to watch the, and I quote, "barely controlled chaos." Josie has to go visit the doc, and we meet the author of "Before You Meet Prince Charming". It's a good thing these kids don't have...real school to work around. In our dig we explore, Sarah Mally, the author of the aforementioned book. It sold like hotcakes in Christian circles. We look at the book, the author, and a barely-veiled fable with an alligator that seems like the only fun one in the story. Enjoy what you hear? Feel like you have a Servant's Heart? Joshua Duggar has filed a new legal motion in the hopes to secure his freedom. We discuss this motion.Former star of TLC's "19 Kids and Counting," Duggar was convicted of possessing child sexual abuse materials (CSAM) in 2021 and still has many years left on his prison sentence.Last week, we asked LGBTQ listeners what they would say to their younger selves! No soft opens in this episode, we hard cut to the brood in the Big Apple. We get a total callback to a previous episode while watching Lego struggle to function in a public transit setting. Have you ever wanted to see too many people serve in a very small soup kitchen? Well, you're in luck. In our Dig, we explore more of the absolute drivel that Billy G liked to spew. It's purposeful drivel, to convince you that yielding your rights, is all part of God's plan. It's all done so you can maintain the patriarchal IBLP system, for him. He can then use his time...uh...writing more of this crap. Duke's Mayo, if you're listening, shoot us a message. Enjoy what you hear? Feel like you have a Servant's Heart? We watch the brood run amok in a Kiddie Casino. The tokens were flowing, the cheap pizza was getting devoured, and we see the Dancing King use hard-earned tickets to buy something for Hannie. Super Sweet gesture. We watch 2 of the boys, and Grandma get equipped with new bikes. In our Dig, we take a look at a book written about the early days of Billy G's cult. It's written by a pastor and it's, surprisingly, not a fluff piece. There's a chapter that is almost a Billy G Burn Book. Good on ya, Wilfred Bockelman. Enjoy what you hear? Today, we're talking about a crunchy mom influencer, known as "Rose Uncharted" on Instagram, who recently deconstructed from Christianity and started sharing New Age ideas and beliefs. This is not to shame her but rather to draw attention to the false teachings and bad theologies that can influence even the most scrupulous people. We go over her past posts about motherhood and health and detail how she slowly spiraled into the unbiblical idea of a "Christ consciousness." Of course, this idea has been around for decades, but that doesn't stop people from claiming that it's a new idea. And we refute all of these ideas of a "Christ consciousness" with the truth found in scripture. This episode was sponsored by Olive, the app built for the MAHA movement. Welcome to the triumphant return of Dr. Diligence D.D.S! Pest and Joe can't seem to handle the one thing asked of them, before THEIR medical procedure. We then watch, yet again, as Lego tries to bend the rules. He is swiftly shutdown by our new favorite side character of the series. It is so satisfying to watch someone else who will not give in to Lego's BS.In our Dig, we resume the exploration of this family's parentification, and the effects from it. This week on Unscripted, Natalie and Paige dive into the long-awaited arrival of Real ID. Yes, it's finally happening after nearly two decades. They break down what it is, why it matters, and when you actually need it. Then it's on to the world of Fundie favorites with a major family update from the Duggars or the Bates (we won't spoil it here!). The conversation shifts to Meghan Markle's latest podcast endeavor... what she's saying and why it's making headlines. Josie and a random smattering of Duggars head back to Little Rock for a check-up. This, of course, leaves Jessa in charge. Lego Hair was there... and that's the extent of how much he brings to the table in these situations. Watch as the Duggar Boys destroy an innocent taco restaurant. Lego Hair decides to repeatedly tell us the cliff's notes of this episode. "Josh bought a new car lot. It used to be an old taco restaurant". The Dancing King definitely took center stage. Lego Hair bringing a 6-year-old to participate in a major commercial demolition was not as productive as he thought. As we approach the 3-year anniversary of the Pod, we Dig into a topic briefly mentioned in episode 1; Joseph Hutchens. We take a deeper look into his own crimes and his role in Josh evading consequences for the molestations. It's a he said, he said, he said situation in how Josh's "confession" went down. *****Listener Warning***** Due to Joseph Hutchens getting convicted of CSAM related charges, we describe the type of material that he got caught with. Snow Warning! We watch as the TTM is blanketed with 2 feet of snow! We can add to the Duggars Recipe Box with their showcase of "Snow Ice Cream". This is a completely foreign concept to a good ole Arizona couple like us. In our Dig, we get into a further examination of Jingy V's book. We take a hard look into how what-should-have-been a memoir to recount her upbringing and the after effects of it; were morphed into the faux-self help affair that we ended up with. If there's anything that we should expect out of children it's that they need to carry their weight and contribute to their family's finances. Every kid with a J name within the T.T.M. got rounded up to put in a little elbow grease. Send your kids to clean up a filthy residence you just bought? Check! Have your child grabbing last month's meatloaf? Check! Paint and tile a whole room for ministry? Double Check! When the Bakers, a chastity-espousing reality TV family, come to New York to celebrate Lane's purity ceremony, they discover the 13-year-old is pregnant. After interrogating a cameraman, Fin and Carisi learn that accusations of inappropriate touching by the oldest son, Graham, were buried by the Bakers' powerful supporters. Before Benson and Dodds can question him, the family pastor says the boy has been sent to a camp in Ecuador. After binge-watching their show, Rollins suspects Graham fathered a child with a different sister. But the DNA points in a different direction. The pastor himself has been preying on the daughters and blaming the son. We're talking about Special Victims Unit season 17 episode 7* "Patrimonial Burden." Our returning guest is Melody Carlisle from the "Heaving Bosoms" podcast. This episode is inspired by the scandal around reality TV stars, the Duggar family.*Note: Because of a two-part season opener, some streaming services list this as episode 6. Today, we sit down with Jinger Duggar Vuolo, author of "People Pleaser: Breaking Free from the Burden of Imaginary Expectations," to talk about her new book and how she put an end to her people-pleasing tendencies. We discuss how she broke out of legalism and learned the true gospel as she sought to glorify God with her life and how biblical modesty is the standard to which we should aspire. Jinger also tells us how her people-pleasing ultimately hurt her ability to be in community and gives other people-pleasers advice on how to stop focusing so much on the selfish need to belong and how to let others into their lives.
