Dave Hunt had the good sense to be born on Fort Washington Ave, just north of Inwood in Washington Heights. He was raised in Inwood. Dave entered the food and beverage industry as a student at Fordham University starting at a world famous nightclub in Greenwich Village, “Your Father’s Mustache “. 50 years later, after stints at Jimmy Day’s on West 4thSt. and Pete’s Tavern on Gramercy Park, Dave is the owner of Coogan’s Restaurant in Washington Heights. His partners are Peter Walsh and Tess McDade . Originally Coogan’s was located in the confines of the 34 Precinct but later after the civil disturbances of 1992, the precinct was split and Coogan’s now resides in the confines of the 33 precinct. Coogan’s has long been a centrally located meeting spot for law enforcement especially for NYPD commands in Northern Manhattan and the Bronx. Having hosted many retirement and promotion parties, Dave now drives to and from wearing a Manhattan North sweatshirt emblazoned with a NYPD shield sewn into the shirt with the name Coogan’s where a shield number should be! Dave is a slow driver and has not had to seek a professional courtesy. Dave is a married father of 3 with 2 grandchildren!

Jimmy Day shares a timely message for the start of the year titled ‘God’s Not Done With You’.
Jimmy Day shares a powerful message called “Look Again”.
Moving into a new studio space, host Mollie gets reacquainted with previous guests and St. Louis based comedians Andy Hamilton and Jimmy Day about why they are 'casually nostalgic.' From childhood rooms that were never changed to VHS tapes (or two if you were around when Titanic came out), it's clear that however modern you get, you never forget the small details that you experienced earlier in life. Andy Hamilton can be found on Instagram @andyhamiltoncomedy. Jimmy Day can be found on Instagram @jimmycday. Host Mollie Amburgey can be found on Instagram @mollieamburgey and @thecasuallymolliepodcast.
Jimmy Day shares a message which encourages you to stand strong in times of spiritual attack and storms in your life.
Jimmy Day shares a message about “Contending for the Supernatural”.
Jimmy Day shares a message about how we can find the joy when our plans and dreams don’t go the way that we may hope.
Jimmy Day shares Part 1 of his Easter message, “Love Stands in The Gap”.
Jimmy Day shares Part 2 of his Easter message, “Love Stands in The Gap”.
Andy Hamilton, a St. Louis comedian and producer of the comedy showcase 'O'Fallon Out Loud,'' joins the podcast to talk about being salty on certain subjects. From bad drivers to horrific bar experiences, hear why Andy is fed up and why Mollie had to block her sister's ex from social media. Jimmy Day (local St. Louis comedian and guest from the episode 'Casually Being Followed on Quora') is featured as well. The next O'Fallon Out Loud Comedy Showcase will be in June 29th at 8:30pm at Rendezvous Cafe and Wine Bar. O'Fallon Out Loud can also be found on Facebook and Instagram. Entrance music is titled 'Trust the Bounce' by Superjaz from Same Difference and can be found on all streaming services.
Jimmy Day speaks on Surrender Weekend in his message, “Get Rid Of The Lid”.
Sitting inside her loft on a snowy night eating Skyline Chili, host Mollie Amburgey and her guest comedian and boyfriend, Jimmy Day, talk about the social media platform 'Quora.' After being formally introduced while both doing comedy sets at a 'We Are Live' Comedy Showcase in St. Louis, Missouri, Mollie and Jimmy have decided to collaborate again by reading questions put out in the Quora Universe, giving their own responses as well as reading others left by the Quora bloggers themselves. By the end of this episode, you'll see that Jimmy may be onto something with his own bakery start-up idea, 'Puff Puff Pastry,' that there is definitely some St. Louis and Cincinnati rivalry between the two of them, and hear about a goldfish debacle that will most likely make listeners not see the pet department of Walmart the same ever again.
Hear a message from Jimmy about making space for the Holy Spirit to move in your life.
In this episode, we're featuring some of the best early 60s honky tonk you've never heard: from the chronically underrated Skeets McDonald, our feature album is: "Call Me Skeets!" (1964). Skeets got his first major record deal in LA - he was picked up by Capitol and spent a good stint with them which included his only #1 hit in 1952 with "Don't Let The Stars Get In Your Eyes". He flirted with rockabilly and rock 'n' roll, but it was after his move to Capitol's arch-rivals Columbia in 1959 that we pick up the story - all of our feature album was recorded between '59-'63, and it demonstrates Skeets McDonald's refusal to budge from his hard country sound. We feature some sensational country shuffles, a few featuring a young Johnny Paycheck on harmonies, Jimmy Day on steel and Tommy Jackson on fiddle - and Skeets' nasal hillbilly twang slots in perfectly. As one reviewer in the 60s wrote: "Listening to him [Skeets] sing is like playing a record you liked twenty years ago. It's the plaintive sound from a thousand beer joints along highways from Altoona to Albuquerque.".. Can you believe that was meant to be a negative review??

In this episode, we're featuring a Columbia concept album from "The Master" - Ray Price: "Love Life" (1964). Released after another highly successful thematic album in 1963's "Night Life", our feature album continues the tradition - this time, it's all songs about love. Loving, losing, heartbreak, euphoria, disappointment - the highs and lows of one of humankind's most relatable subjects - Price has a song for everyone's "Love Life" on this release, and he's fine voice to boot. Backed by some of the best Cherokee Cowboys that ever were - Johnny Bush on drums, Jimmy Day & Buddy Emmons alternating on steel and Tommy Jackson on fiddle - Price croons his way through this album without breaking a figurative sweat. Restrained yet soaring, his was one of the finest voices in country history and just why that was the case is demonstrated in abundance. Highlights include the Willie Nelson-penned "How Long Is Forever", the made-to-two-step-to "You're Stronger Than Me" and a tale of divorce in "All Right (I'll Sign The Papers)".. but as usual, there are no duds when it comes to mid-60s Ray Price.

Howard Holley Presents Against All Odds: How Successful People Overcome Adversity
Jimmy Day, Vice President Operations and Founder of Flagler Spirits refers to himself as a "normal" guy; a "good" guy, not a great one. The son of a government employee born in Washington, DC. he settled in Florida in 2003. He comes from generations of family who have been in "whiskey" for about 150 years. But his career took him in a different direction. Jimmy was an undertaker who owned three funeral homes and a monument company; a flower shop and he even parked cars. But he decided that he had enough of emotionally draining and serious businesses and wanted to do something fun. So 2010, he returned to his roots with Flagler Spirits, a craft distilling enterprise that was the result of having an unsatisfying drink. It was "gosh awful;" he says. He knew he could do better. It took 14 months and 14 days to go from that awful drink to being licensed, but he made it happen. In this episode, he talks about his product being like a backyard grilled burger - there is more to it and it's better than one that is mass produced. He had a dream. He had challenges. Listen as Jimmy entertains hosts and listeners alike with his humorous approach to life, adversity and success.
