Homelander doesn't just want power anymore. He wants worship. And the final season of The Boys takes that idea to its logical extreme, where politics, celebrity, and faith blur into one terrifying machine that can crown a supe as a living god. We walk through the whole run, from the early chaos and sudden deaths to the final White House confrontation that forces everyone to pick a side and pay for it. We break down the season's core engine: the supe-killing virus, the V1 variant, and the way it turns The Boys into the very thing they claim to fight. Along the way we dig into A-Train's last stand, Soldier Boy's complicated return, Firecracker's loyalty test, and how the Seven collapses under jealousy, sabotage, and raw fear. We also talk about the “church of Homelander” plot, why it fits the show's satire so well, and how the god complex becomes a public performance that finally spins out on live TV. The endgame hits hard. Frenchie's sacrifice reshapes the team, Kimiko's power-erasing ability becomes the key to the final fight, and Ryan's choices add a painful family layer to an already violent war. We spend time on the finale's biggest question: when you have a weapon that could wipe out every supe, where do you draw the line before you become the villain? If you enjoy The Boys season 5 recap, finale breakdowns, and character-driven debates about power and consequences, you'll feel right at home here. If this review helped you see the season differently, subscribe, share it with a friend who watches The Boys, and leave us a rating or review. Over this past Memorial Day weekend, The Mandalorian and Grogu opened to $163 million dollars worldwide, exceeding its projected expectations. In a big second weekend, horror film Obsession pulled in $30 million dollars, bringing the worldwide total for the film over $60 million dollars. Obsession was shot on a budget of less than $1 million dollars. Prime Video has released the first trailer for The Boys spinoff and prequel Vought Rising, which stars Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash. The series is expected to start streaming sometime next year. Set in the 1950s, the teaser trailer follows a younger Soldier Boy and Clara Vought (later Stormfront) as a noir-style conspiracy and murder mystery unfolds amid secret experiments, corporate corruption, and the creation of America's first superheroes. More details have begun to emerge about The Daniel's upcoming sci fi film project. Matt Damon is currently in talks to star, replacing Ryan Gosling who dropped out of the project. The Hollywood Reporter also reports that the plot of the film involves global warming, time travel, as well as a possible superhero angle. There are two timelines, one set in the 1980s and one set in the present day and protagonists of the story are teens in the 1980s timeline."Abbott Elementary” creator and Emmy winner Quinta Brunson will develop and star as Betty Boop in a feature film adaptation of the nearly century-old animated icon, Variety has learned exclusively. Brunson's company, Fifth Chance Productions, is bringing the character back to life with Mark Fleischer who is the grandson of original Betty Boop creator Max Fleischer. Notably, the film's plot will trace the character's evolution through the perspective of Max and how the name that became an icon emerged.

This week, we are diving into the absolute devastation of The Boys Season 5, Episode 6: “Though the Heavens Fall”. If you thought the boys had a fighting chance, this hour completely flipped the board. We are breaking down: The Legend's Chilling Truth: Paul Reiser returns as a ghost of Vought past to deliver the one thing Homelander never hears: the unvarnished, terrifying truth. We debate why Homelander actually let him live—is it newfound god-like mercy, or rare respect? The Seven’s Skeleton Crew: The Deep and Noir II take pettiness to a literal apocalyptic level with a pipeline massacre. We unpack the shocking, bloody end of their rivalry and what it means now that Homelander's inner circle is down to absolute narcissists. Sage’s Logic Fails: Sister Sage tried to play the ultimate game of chess using Stormfront’s legacy. We break down how she completely miscalculated Soldier Boy's twisted sense of family—and the fallout of Homelander discovering her betrayal. The Death of Hope: The climax that changed everything. Homelander takes the V1, the virus is now a useless paperweight, and Butcher is left with only one word: “Run.” The Question of the Week: Now that the Apotheosis is complete and Homelander is truly an immortal god, is there anything left in this universe that can actually hurt him? #TheBoys #Homelander #SoldierBoy #SisterSage #TheSeven #PodcastLife MORE IN THIS SERIES Season 5 1+2 | 3 | 4 | 5 Season 4 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 Season 3 1+2+3 Pt 1 | 1+2+3 Pt 2 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 Season 2 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 Follow the show PRIME VIDEO | FACEBOOK | Twitter Follow the Hosts PAUL | CAT This podcast was recorded in Pod Clubhouse Studios and edited by Paul Daley.

Greg & Coy are going through the biggest fan complaints, unanswered questions, and supposed plot holes from The Boys Season 5 Episode 8: “Blood and Bone.” After our initial finale reaction, we wanted to take more time to respond honestly to the backlash around Homelander's death, the “Scorched Earth” hype becoming more of a “Scorched Oval Office,” the V1 power scaling, Butcher's rushed genocide ending, Soldier Boy getting wasted, Gen V being underused, and that massive virus sprinkler plot hole at Vought Tower. Was The Boys ending actually satisfying, or did the finale feel rushed like Game of Thrones Season 8? Did Homelander feel too weak after getting V1? Should the final battle have been bigger? Did Kimiko's radiation powers feel earned? Was The Deep's octopus death hilarious or underwhelming? And what the hell happened to Soldier Boy? Join us as we react to the biggest complaints, questions, memes, and plot holes surrounding The Boys Season 5 finale, including the Homelander begging meme, Butcher killing Homelander, Sage getting away with everything, Hughie and Starlight's ending, Ryan losing his powers, and whether this was a fitting conclusion for one of the most talked-about superhero shows ever. Somewhere, Homer is either proud, confused, or asking why everyone on the internet suddenly thinks they are a classics scholar with a Letterboxd account. Running Point: Season 2, Episodes 1-4 Series: Running Point Season: 2 Episodes covered: Episodes 1-4 Release date: April 23, 2026 Season 2, Episode 1 Title: New Coach Who Dis Air date: April 23, 2026 Director: David Stassen Writers: Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen Summary: Cam is back, which means Isla immediately has to deal with family politics, front office nonsense, and the ongoing question of who actually gets to control the Waves. With the team needing a new coach, Cam pushes his preferred pick while Isla tries to make the smarter basketball decision instead of the loudest nepo-baby decision. Season 2, Episode 2 Title: The Poacher Air date: April 23, 2026 Director: Erica Oyama Writer: Joe Mande Summary: Trade rumors around Dyson heat up, forcing Isla to fight for one of the team's most important players while Sandy uncovers a financial issue tied to Cam. Ali, tired of being treated like office furniture with a calendar invite, makes a major career move that threatens to shake up both the Waves and Isla's support system. Season 2, Episode 3 Title: Triangle of Badness Air date: April 23, 2026 Director: David Stassen Writer: David Phillips Summary: Ali's move to Canada creates a widening rift between her and Isla, because nothing says “healthy friendship” like professional resentment and international workplace drama. Meanwhile, the tension between Dyson and Travis keeps escalating, and Sandy tries to survive Charlie's new reality TV lifestyle without completely losing his mind. Season 2, Episode 4 Title: MVP: Marcus Very Pissed Air date: April 23, 2026 Director: Michael Weaver Writers: Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen Summary: The tension between Norm and Marcus starts turning into a full-blown problem, forcing Isla into damage-control mode. Sandy finally hits his breaking point with Charlie's reality show circus, while Ali begins questioning whether her big move was actually empowering or just a different flavor of chaos with better scenery. Rating out of 10 Those Canadians are the Nicest Cut Throats Ever Brian: 7.6/10 Darryl: 7.5/10 The Punisher: One Last Kill Title: The Punisher: One Last Kill Release date: May 12, 2026 Director: Reinaldo Marcus Green Writers: Jon Bernthal and Reinaldo Marcus Green Summary: Frank Castle is living off the grid, haunted by the ghosts of his past, and trying to exist without being the Punisher. Naturally, peace lasts about twelve seconds before Ma Gnucci and the Gnucci Crime Family drag him back into the kind of blood-soaked revenge spiral Marvel insists is “grounded” because nobody shoots laser beams. The special attempts to bridge Frank's story between Daredevil: Born Again and his next MCU appearance, but for Brian and Darryl, this one lands less like a brutal character study and more like Marvel trying to convince everyone that misery equals depth. Frank deserves better. So do we. Rating out of 10 Disney Just Doesn’t Get It Brian: 1/10 Darryl: 4/10 The Boys: Season 5, Episode 7 Title: The Frenchman, the Female, and the Man Called Mother’s Milk Air date: May 13, 2026 Director: Sylvain White Writer: Anslem Richardson Summary: Homelander, now juiced up with V1, fully tips into god-king nightmare mode by killing the President, dissolving the Seven, and preparing to reveal himself as America's favorite fascist deity. Soldier Boy tries to walk away, which goes about as well as you would expect when your son is Homelander and your family dynamic is basically a war crime with abs. Meanwhile, the Boys try to recreate Soldier Boy's depowering ability through Kimiko, Marie Moreau and Jordan Li uncover suspicious activity around Oh Father at Vought Studios, and the episode ends with Frenchie making one last move to protect Kimiko before Homelander fatally wounds him. So, you know, just another relaxing week in the Vought Cinematic Trauma Dump. Rating out of 5 A God Complex is a Terrible Thing to Waste Brian: 1.5/5 Darryl: 1.5/5 Mortal Kombat II Title: Mortal Kombat II Release date: May 8, 2026 Director: Simon McQuoid Writer: Jeremy Slater Rating: 7.99/10 Summary: Johnny Cage enters the arena as Earthrealm's fighters are pulled into the full-blown tournament chaos fans have been waiting for since the 2021 reboot. With Shao Kahn threatening the survival of Earthrealm and Kitana entering the mix, Mortal Kombat II leans into the franchise's blood-soaked mythology, fan-service mayhem, and video game ridiculousness in all the ways a movie like this absolutely should. It is loud, dumb, violent, and somehow still better calibrated than half the superhero stuff clogging the pipeline. Victor hosts Need Some Introduction, previewing upcoming coverage and Patreon updates, then recaps Widow's Bay Episode 4, “Beach Reads,” a Patricia-focused story in which a donated self-help book is revealed as a grimoire that compels her to stage a “perfect” party while townspeople are actually entranced, surrounded by ritual objects, and driven toward drowning themselves; Patricia burns the book to break the spell, is still blamed, then joins Tom and Wyck as storylines converge at the reverend's apparent suicide and warning voicemail, with ongoing questions about the island's many supernatural threads and Evan's underused subplot. Victor and Alan then discuss The Boys' penultimate episode (“The Frenchman, The Female and the Man Called Mother's Milk”), praising Frenchie/Kimiko's emotional arc, noting Gen V character context, debating plot logic and tone, and speculating about the 65-minute finale and possible endgames. This week's Bandwagon Nerds is loaded with drama, intrigue, action, and a healthy dose of irony. We cover the season finale of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. In the explosive finale to a tremendous season, things progress from the courtroom to a desperate fight for survival for all involved, which does not end up the way anyone thought it would. What does this all mean for Season 3? Meanwhile, over on The Boys, Episode 6 of the show's final season had its own massive Womp Womp moment as Soldier Boy makes a shocking choice that will resonate throughout the remaining two episodes. An extended visit to the Trailer Park takes a look at the latest for The Odyssey, The Burroughs, Tony, and Power Ballad. Joe Russo had an interesting take on spoilers, and Matt Reeves gave us our first look at The Batman 2. The penultimate chaos is here! In this week's breakdown of The Boys Season 5, Episode 6, "Though the Heavens Fall," we're diving deep into the hunt for V1—the compound that grants true Supe immortality. What we're covering this week:The Legend Returns: Paul Reiser is back and brings the team to "Vought Village," a Supe retirement home that is as depressing as it is dangerous. Soldier Boy vs. Bombsight: The tension from 1945 finally boils over. We break down that brutal brawl and the shocking deal that gives Soldier Boy the ultimate leverage over Homelander. The Deep's "Fish Holocaust": After sabotaging a Vought oil pipeline for revenge, Black Noir II meets a grisly end at the hands of a distraught Deep. Is there any coming back for Kevin after this? Sage's Master Plan: She's playing 4D chess with everyone—including Ashley's "Back Ashley" persona. We discuss whether Sage is truly in control or if she's finally hit a variable she can't predict. Viral Stakes: Hughie and Annie attempt a Hail Mary at the church to deploy the Supe-killing virus, but Oh Father (Daveed Diggs) isn't making it easy. With only two episodes left in the series, the lines have been drawn and the V1 is in play. Who is actually going to be left standing?Podcast Tags / Key Talking PointsThe Easter Egg Hunt: Did you catch the Vought Rising prequel teases during the Bombsight scenes?Character Deep Dive: Butcher's rare moment of mercy at the retirement home—is the old Billy coming back, or is it just the calm before the storm?Theory Time: Is Soldier Boy really going to side with Homelander, or is he setting up the ultimate betrayal?Make sure to follow @kevin27wrld for more live reactions and Easter egg breakdowns!

Apparently, Tim is HIM! This week on the podcast, Brian and Darryl buckle up for a finale-heavy week with the last two episodes of Maul: Shadow Lord, the Season 2 finale of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, the Season 2 finale of Daredevil: Born Again, The Boys Season 5 Episode 6, and Netflix's 2026 limited series Lord of the Flies. Episode Index Intro: 0:07 Lord of the Flies: 7:02 Maul: 12:47 Monarch: 29:32 Daredevil: 46:50 The Boys: 1:02:16 Lord of the Flies, Netflix Limited Series Limited Series Episodes: 4 Titles: Piggy, Jack, Simon, Ralph Netflix release date: May 4, 2026 in the U.S. Original release date: February 8, 2026 Director: Marc Munden Writer: Jack Thorne Summary: Netflix's 2026 Lord of the Flies limited series adapts William Golding's classic survival nightmare into a four-episode TV format, following a group of British schoolboys stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash. Ralph and Piggy try to build order, rules, and rescue plans, while Jack's need for power and violence slowly turns the group into rival camps. The series tracks the collapse through four character-focused episodes: Piggy brings the boys together, Jack embraces the hunt, Simon becomes the tragic victim of the island's growing hysteria, and Ralph watches the last pieces of civilization burn down around him. By the end, Piggy and Simon are dead, Ralph is hunted, and rescue arrives only after the boys have already proven that the real monster was never hiding in the jungle. Rating Out of 10 It Would Have Been Better Not to Try at All Brian: 1/10 Darryl: DNW Maul: Shadow Lord (Disney Plus) Title: Chapter 9: Strange Allies Air date: May 4, 2026 Director: Steward Lee Writer: Christopher Yost Summary: Dryden Vos enters the picture with an offer Maul absolutely cannot ignore: safe passage off Janix in exchange for Maul taking the reins of Crimson Dawn. Meanwhile, Maul reaches out to Devon through their Force connection, drawing her and the rest of the group into a desperate alliance. Lawson suggests a dangerous underground route out of the city, but the escape turns into a nightmare when the group has to cross a toxic river while the Inquisitors close in. Maul holds them off long enough for everyone to make it across, only for Darth Vader to arrive outside the city and casually remind everyone that there is always a bigger monster in the room. Title: Chapter 10: The Dark Lord Air date: May 4, 2026 Director: Nathaniel Villanueva Writer: Matt Michnovetz & Brad Rau Summary: The season finale throws Maul, Devon, Daki, the Lawsons, and the rest of the survivors straight into Vader's shadow. Maul and the Jedi fight Vader and the Inquisitors while the others try to reach Dryden Vos's ship through a wall of Imperial troops. Daki gets a brief victory over Marrok, but Vader kills him after Maul chooses self-preservation over loyalty. Devon's grief and rage push her closer to Maul, who promises to train her for revenge. Lawson sacrifices himself so Rylee, Two-Boots, and Vario can escape, and by the time Vos's ship leaves Janix, Devon agrees to become Maul's apprentice. Good news: they escaped. Bad news: the emotional damage is now fully weaponized. Rating Out of 10 Shhhhh Vader Comes Brian: 8/10 Darryl: 9.4/10 Season out of 10 Maul, Not Darth Just Maul Brian: 6/10 Darryl: 8.8/10 Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Season 2 Finale Season 2, Episode 10 Title: Where We Belong Air date: May 1, 2026 Director: Lawrence Trilling Writer: Teleplay by Joe Pokaski; Story by Andrew Colville Summary: The finale brings the season's Titan X chaos to Skull Island, where Kentaro leans into Isabel's plan to use Axis Mundi to save Hiroshi, because apparently messing with monster time-space is the new family therapy. Kong battles Titan X while Cate escapes Isabel's base and Keiko rescues her. Tim and May try to shut down the neural implants, but the real fix comes from returning Titan X's egg, which pacifies the creature and ends the fight. Titan X returns to Axis Mundi with the egg, Shaw and Keiko get a brief emotional vision of younger Shaw, and six weeks later Monarch officially recruits Cate, Keiko, May, and Tim. Meanwhile, Shaw tracks Kentaro and Isabel to Thailand and finds Rodan waiting near a volcano, because this show simply refuses to end on a normal workplace update. Rating Out of 5 Starring Kentaro as Cate Brian: 4.38/5 Darryl: 4.35/5 Season out of 10 Why Did Titan X Only Fight with 2 Tentacles Most of the Fight Brian: 8.6/10 Darryl: 7.5/10 Daredevil: Born Again, Season 2 Finale Season 2, Episode 8 Title: The Southern Cross Air date: May 5, 2026 Director: Iain B. MacDonald Writer: Dario Scardapane & Jesse Wigutow Summary: Karen Page's trial becomes the pressure cooker for the entire season as Matt calls Wilson Fisk to the stand, presents Savva's video testimony, and publicly reveals that he is Daredevil to prove what Fisk has done. Dex stops AVTF officers from killing Matt, then takes a shot at Fisk, causing chaos inside the courthouse. Outside, Daredevil's supporters rise up after BB Urich pushes the city to fight back. Fisk is offered exile to avoid charges, but because he is Wilson Fisk and subtlety has never once entered the chat, he lashes out and kills multiple protestors before Matt convinces him to take the deal. Fisk leaves New York, the AVTF collapses, BB lands at the New York Bulletin, Jessica reunites with Luke Cage, Heather Glenn starts sliding into Muse territory, and Matt ends the season arrested and imprisoned for being Daredevil. That is one hell of a “victory,” Matt. Rating out of 5 I AM… Daredevil Brian: 4.51/5 Darryl: 3.89/5 Season out of 10 It’s just too clean Brian: 7.68/10 Darryl: 6.56/10 The Boys, Season 5 Episode 6 Title: Though the Heavens Fall Air date: May 6, 2026 Director: Catriona McKenzie Writer: David Reed Summary: The Deep gets stuck doing Vought propaganda for a new oil pipeline, while Noir, tired of Deep wrecking his career plans, sabotages the whole thing and causes a catastrophic oil spill. Deep responds like the emotionally stable aquatic nightmare he is and murders Noir in retaliation. Meanwhile, Sage incapacitates Ashley and pulls information from Bashley, discovering that Soldier Boy may know where to find a lead on V1. That sends Sage into full defection mode as the final season keeps pushing everyone toward the inevitable blood-soaked endgame. Also, yes, somehow “Bashley” remains a thing we all have to say out loud. Things go sideways fast when Imperial forces capture Rylee, forcing Devon back toward Lawson and Daki. Meanwhile, Maul's attempt to escape Janix collapses into a brutal fight with Marrok and the Eleventh Brother, leaving his followers scattered, his ship destroyed, and his already damaged leg becoming a very real problem. Maul survives because of course he does, but this is the Empire turning the screws hard. Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord, Episode 8 Title: Chapter 8: The Creeping Fear Air date: April 27, 2026 Director: Saul Ruiz Writer: Jennifer Corbett Summary: With Maul separated from his crew and physically breaking down, the episode digs into his past through hallucinations of Sidious, Savage Opress, and the trauma that shaped him into the walking red flag he is today. Two-Boots finally gets his moral compass rebooted after learning what the Empire really did to Klyce, helping Rylee escape before the group walks into yet another trap. Sul sacrifices herself to stop Blake, and Maul's surviving crew regroups just in time for a message from Dryden Vos, because apparently the galaxy's criminal LinkedIn is still very active. Meanwhile, Tim, Shaw, Keiko, May, and Monarch forces follow Titan X onto the island, Shaw and Keiko get separated, Cate escapes, and Kentaro drops the emotional trap card by claiming they can save Hiroshi. In the 1958 storyline, Keiko and Bill marry, while Bill's later obsession with rifts shows how this family has been getting emotionally nuked by monster science for decades. MacDonald Writer: Heather Bellson Summary: Karen Page finally gets her day in court, and Matt comes out of hiding to help defend her alongside Kirsten McDuffie. The trial puts the AVTF under pressure, but Fisk's machine responds the only way it knows how: violence, intimidation, and ugly backroom damage control. Jessica Jones confronts Mr. Charles and learns Luke Cage is working overseas with the CIA, while Dex interrupts an assassination attempt on Governor McCaffrey. The emotional gut punch lands with Daniel Blake, who nearly gives BB Urich up to Cashman before finding his spine at the worst possible time. He lets her escape, refuses to reveal her location, and pays for it with his life. In Los Angeles, Mister Marathon and Malchemical try to pull Soldier Boy away from Homelander, but Soldier Boy chooses Team Daddy Issues and kills Malchemical instead. Marathon's escape turns into a blood-soaked celebrity disaster before Homelander finishes him off. Back at Vought, Sage warns Ashley that Homelander can't get V1, Noir spirals through theater-kid identity crisis hell, The Deep does Deep things, and Firecracker finally starts doubting Homelander, which goes about as well as expected. He kills her. Because apparently loyalty programs at Vought end with murder. Night 1 was built around Cody Rhodes defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton, with Cody retaining in the main event before Orton attacked him after the match. The night also featured Paige returning to team with Brie Bella, Gunther defeating Seth Rollins after Bron Breakker got involved, and Liv Morgan retaining the Women's World Championship. Night 2 leaned even harder into big WrestleMania moments, with Oba Femi defeating Brock Lesnar, Penta surviving a chaotic ladder match to retain the Intercontinental Championship, Trick Williams winning the United States Championship, Rhea Ripley defeating Jade Cargill, and Roman Reigns closing the weekend by beating CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship. With the Imperial occupation escalating, Rook Kast warns Maul that the situation is getting worse, while Looti Vario begins questioning whether staying with the Shadow Collective is safer than running. Meanwhile, Brander Lawson finds himself caught between Imperial pressure, local chaos, and Maul's growing influence, as the arrival of the Inquisitors turns Janix into a hunting ground. Maul: Shadow Lord, Episode 6 Title: Chapter 6: Night of the Hunted Air date: April 20, 2026 Director: Steward Lee Writer: Nicolas Anastassiou Summary: Maul, Devon Izara, Brander Lawson, and the others are forced into survival mode as Marrok and the Inquisitors close in. What started as Maul rebuilding his criminal empire becomes something much more dangerous as the Empire realizes there are Force users hiding on Janix. Marrok's pursuit pushes the group into desperate choices, and when he fails to bring Maul down, he makes a mysterious call to an unseen figure he addresses as “my lord,” setting up a much larger threat for Maul, Devon, and anyone standing between them and the Empire. Rating Out of 10 Whatever Darryl Thinks Darryl: 7.9/10 Brian: DNW Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (Apple TV) Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Season 2, Episode 8 Title: Separate Ways Air date: April 17, 2026 Director: Gandja Monteiro Writer: Mariko Tamaki Summary: Titan X makes landfall in Australia, forcing Monarch into another high-stakes monster crisis as Shaw attempts to lure Godzilla into a direct showdown. While the Titans dominate the battlefield, Isabel uses the chaos as cover for a secret operation, because apparently one giant monster fight was not enough drama for the week. The episode also pushes Cate closer to the truth about Titan X, including the discovery that the creature may not be the threat everyone assumed. Out of 5 Finally Godzilla! Brian: 3.8/5 Darry: 3.2/5 Daredevil: Born Again (Disney Plus) Daredevil: Born Again, Season 2, Episode 6 Title: Requiem Air date: April 21, 2026 Director: Angela Barnes Writers: Devon Kliger and Jesse Wigutow Summary: “Requiem” keeps the pressure on Hell's Kitchen as Fisk's grip starts to show cracks and Matt tries to make an impossible move by seeking a truce with Wilson Fisk. Around them, everyone seems to be making destructive choices: Mr. Charles makes his move, Daniel confronts BB, Powell's violence escalates, Heather snaps, and Karen nearly makes a devastating decision. The episode also brings Jessica Jones back into the mix, raising the stakes for Matt's growing resistance against Fisk and the AVTF. Out of 5 How Was Matt’s Back Not Destroyed When He Went Through the Wall Painting Brian: 3.4/5 Darryl: 3/5 The Boys (Amazon Prime) The Boys, Season 5, Episode 4 Title: King of Hell Air date: April 22, 2026 Director: Karen Gaviola Writer: Geoff Aull Summary: Homelander takes another step toward declaring himself America's new god, with Firecracker and the Vought propaganda machine helping turn his messianic delusions into a full-blown movement. Meanwhile, The Boys investigate Fort Harmony in search of V1, an early and extremely dangerous version of Compound V. The mission gets weird fast when they encounter Quinn, a scientist fused into the base itself, whose powers trigger violent aggression and infighting. Soldier Boy and Homelander clash again, Annie searches for answers about her father, Ryan walks away from Butcher, and the episode ends with Vought pushing Homelander further into cult-leader territory. Rating Out of 5 Stuck in a Uranium Filled Room Bleeding Out Your **** Brian: 4.1/5 Darryl: 3.43/5 Invincible (Amazon Prime) Invincible, Season 4, Episode 8 Title: Don't Leave Me Hanging Here Air date: April 22, 2026 Director: Ian Abando Writer: Simon Racioppa Summary: The Season 4 finale shifts away from one last giant battle and instead deals with the emotional fallout of the Viltrumite War. Mark returns to Earth shaken, haunted by visions of the people he loves being slaughtered, while Thragg reveals that the surviving Viltrumites are now hiding on Earth and gives Mark a brutal ultimatum: let them live among humans or risk Earth being destroyed. Mark reluctantly agrees, hoping to buy time. Meanwhile, Eve reveals she had an abortion while Mark was gone, Nolan and Debbie leave for Telescria to care for Oliver, and Allen is left with a terrifying choice after learning about a perfected Scourge Virus that could wipe out Viltrumites, and possibly humanity too. Five shows, one galaxy of trauma This week on the podcast, Brian and Darryl dive into Maul: Shadow Lord Episodes 3 and 4, break down Invincible Season 4 Episode 7, review Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 Episode 7, check in on Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 5, and survive The Boys Season 5 Episode 3. It's a packed week of monsters, mayhem, revenge, and people making extremely bad choices with tremendous confidence. Episode Index Intro: 0:07 Maul Shadow Lord: Monarch: Daredevil: The Boys: Invincible: Maul: Shadow Lord (Disney+) Maul: Shadow Lord, Episode 3 Title: Chapter 3: Whispers in the Unknown Air date: April 13, 2026 Director: Steward Lee Writer: Julia Cooperman Summary: Devon escapes captivity only to be pulled back into Maul's orbit, where he toys with her psychologically as much as physically. While Lawson tries to juggle the Maul crisis with his failing home life, Maul escalates his war with the Pykes by hitting one of their shipments and tightening his grip on Janix. The episode leans hard into dread, temptation, and Maul's creepy mentor energy. Maul: Shadow Lord, Episode 4 Title: Chapter 4: Pride and Vengeance Air date: April 13, 2026 Director: Nathaniel Villanueva Writer: Amanda Rose Muñoz Summary: Maul makes his move against Marg Krim and forces the Pyke Syndicate into line, while Devon reunites with Daki and tries to help Lawson mount a real resistance. Lawson's raid on Maul's hideout goes badly, Daki and Devon confront Maul directly, and the whole situation gets much worse when the Empire is finally called in. Basically: everybody makes one bad decision after another, and then an Imperial Star Destroyer shows up to make it everyone's problem. Rating Out of 10 I Really Thought the Padiwan Was Going to Turn On the Lizard Guy Brian: 5/10 Darryl: 8.1/10 Monarch Legacy of Monsters (Apple TV) Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Season 2, Episode 7 Title: String Theory Air date: April 10, 2026 Director: Gandja Monteiro Writer: Joe Pokaski Summary: Shaw receives an impossible radio transmission that pushes the season deeper into its time-bending weirdness. Cate and Keiko uncover an ancient connection to Titan X, while Kentaro gets a dangerous new offer tied to Apex's larger ambitions. The episode mixes emotional sci-fi melancholy with MonsterVerse myth-building, which is a fancy way of saying it gets sad, strange, and ominous in exactly the way this show likes. Rating out of 5 Way To Almost Erase Yourself Shaw Brian: 4.11/5 Darryl: 3.61/5 Daredevil: Born Again (Dsiney+) Daredevil: Born Again, Season 2, Episode 5 Title: The Grand Design Air date: April 14, 2026 Director: Angela Barnes Writer: Jesse Wigutow Summary: Matt's war against Fisk keeps tightening as the season hits its midpoint and starts showing more of the machinery behind Fisk's grip on New York. The title alone tells you this is an episode about schemes, structure, and people realizing they're standing inside someone else's plan. Midseason episodes like this are where the screws get turned, and this one sounds built to do exactly that. Rating out of 5 Mercy Sir… Mercy Brian: 3.6/5 Darryl: 3.2/5 The Boys (Amazon Prime) The Boys, Season 5, Episode 3 Title: Every One of You Sons of Bitches Air date: April 15, 2026 Director: Karen Gaviola Writer: Ellie Monahan Summary: Ryan goes feral, Homelander spirals further into god-complex territory, and Soldier Boy's return throws gasoline on everything. The Supe-killing virus, V1, and Vought's ugly origins all start crashing into one another while betrayals, deaths, and deeply unhealthy father-son dynamics pile up. So, you know, a normal Wednesday for this disgusting little masterpiece. Rating Out of 5 Ryan is Surprisingly Hard to Kill Brian: 4.23/5 Darryl: 3.8/5 Invincible (Amazon Prime) Invincible, Season 4, Episode 7 Title: Don't Do Anything Rash Air date: April 15, 2026 Director: Stephanie Gonzaga Writer: Helen Leigh Summary: The episode dives into Viltrumite history, revealing how Thaedus assassinated Argall and how Thragg rose to power through the empire's brutal purge of the weak. In the present, Mark, Nolan, Oliver, Allen, Battle Beast, Space Racer, and the Coalition take the fight to Viltrum, only to walk into a vicious ambush. Oliver gets horribly wrecked, Thaedus pays dearly, and the episode turns into one long slab of galactic violence and despair. Cheerful stuff.

Unveiled at CCXP Brazil on Dec 7, 2025, this first look thrusts us into Homelander's dystopian America—a world warped by his erratic, egomaniacal rule, where Supes enforce martial law and The Boys face their darkest hour.Hughie, Mother's Milk, and Frenchie rot in a brutal "Freedom Camp," while Starlight (Annie) rallies a desperate resistance against an unstoppable Supe army. Kimiko vanishes into the chaos, leaving fans on edge. Enter Billy Butcher, resurfacing with a game-changing virus poised to eradicate all Supes, igniting a chain reaction that promises to shatter the world forever. "It's the climax, people. Big stuff's gonna happen," teases the trailer's tagline, amplified by Karl Urban's gravelly narration and Antony Starr's chilling Homelander smirk. The teaser spotlights epic returns: Jensen Ackles' cryogenic Soldier Boy thaws for chaos, joined by Supernatural reunion magic with Jared Padalecki's mysterious new role (hint: shadowy alliance with Homelander) and whispers of Misha Collins. Eric Kripke's panel reveal has sparked frenzy, with the two-episode premiere kicking off weekly drops through the May 20 finale—setting up an all-out bloodbath blending satire, betrayal, and Supe genocide stakes.Analytic Dreamz breaks down the trailer's shocking visuals, plot twists, and why this endgame elevates The Boys beyond Marvel/DC tropes into must-watch TV anarchy.
