Full Hour | Today, Dom leads off the Dom Giordano Program by telling the audience about an attempt by the Montgomery County NRA to host a fundraising event less than a mile away from the school, with Dom taking umbrage with the pushback the organization is facing from WHYY and protestors. Then, Giordano takes issue with a new angle presented by Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who argued on last night's show that police are all government workers who wouldn't lay down their lives for others. Dom gets annoyed with Carlson calling police ‘government workers,' taking calls from listeners who both agree and disagree with Giordano's frustrations. Then, Richard Sterban, longtime member of the Oak Ridge Boys, stops back into the Dom Giordano Program to discuss his life and career and promote an upcoming appearance at Parx Casino at June 11th. First, Richard tells about his time discovering his notable voice, bringing Dom and listeners back to his time spent in middle school when he developed his incredibly deep voice. Then, Giordano and Sterban talk about his ties to the area, with Sterban growing up in Collingswood with a mother with the maiden name of Giordano. In addition, Richard takes us back to 1985 to the ‘Sea to Shining Sea' concert held in Philadelphia, in which the Oak Ridge Boys joined the Beach Boys for an incredible show. (Photo by Getty Images)
The NRA Convention was fun! Except one thing, a reporter illegally filmed my friend and me. People are coming against us more and more every day. Why? The Left can't all be to blame, right? We talk to these gun protesters and dissect what makes them tick. This is important, because we aren't winning. We need to figure out how to win. Sometimes those on the Right will have to humble themselves and strategize in order to secure American liberty. ________________________________________________________________ ⇩ TODAY'S SPONSORS ⇩ MY MEDIC: You never know when you're going to need a medical kit, which is why the Slightly Offens*ve team always has one on hand. The NRA told attendees they will not be able to carry firearms during an event with former President Trump at its Texas conference that will be held just days after a deadly mass shooting at an elementary school in the state. According to the NRA, the Secret Service is taking control of the hall during Trump's speech and is prohibiting attendees from having firearms, firearms accessories and knives. Ammunition, laser pointers, pepper spray, toy guns, backpacks and other items also won't be allowed. The Secret Service will search attendees with magnetometers before they enter the hall, the NRA said. This isn't the first time firearms have been off-limits during a part of the gun group's annual convention. In 2018 a similar prohibition was put in place during a speech by then-Vice President Mike Pence. The Secret Service told NPR in a statement at the time that the agency has the "authority to preclude firearms from entering sites visited by our protectees, including those located in open-carry states."
