FromSoftware vender tilbage til rødderne, men er det besøget værd? Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon er et mech-baseret action spil udviklet af From Software, og udgivet af Bandai Namco.Fires of Rubicon er det 16 spil i Armored Core franchisen, men der er gået hele 10 år siden den sidste udgivelse i serien, som var Armored Core ; Verdict Day, og som udkom tilbage i 2013 på PlayStation 3 og Xbox 360.Men hvorfor er der gået så lang tid? Det skyldes formentlig, at FromSoftware kom på landkortet ved at skabe en helt ny spil genre i spil industiren. En genre der blev født i FromSofts Demons Souls fra 2009, og efterfølgende er blevet døbt "Souls Like genren". Siden har FromSoftware lavet den populære Dark Souls trilogi, det PlayStaton eksklusive Bloodborne, det anmelderroste Sekrio og fænomenet Elden Ring fra sidste, (et spil der også var Arkadens Game of the year i 2022).Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon føles derfor som et kig tilbage til FromSoftwares rødder. Armored Core VI er allerede den bedst sælgende titel i franchisen, men om det skyldes spillets kvaliteter eller det navn FromSoftware har opbygget, er spørgsmålet?
