Bluepoint was acquired by Sony in 2021 and assisted in the development of God of War Ragnarök. I will be at Dragon Con in Atlanta on Labor Day Weekend, moderating Dragon Con's first ever Speedrun Showcase, speaking with the Dad of Boy himself Christopher Judge, and moderating a panel with the cast of SYFY's The Magicians! (Sadly, the Mortal Kombat panel was dropped from the schedule the day after this was recorded!) Sony has raised the price of all models of the PS5 by $50 in the USA due to the tariffs. Gamestop made a PR move saying they would cover the difference if you traded in a last gen console - but that deal was only for 24 hours. Steam now calculates the review score based on reviews in your spoken language to prevent review bombing from other territories - but they give you the option to go back to including all reviews. Then we talk about games that people were excited for at Gamescom, and to Rob about Dragon Con.

The end of season 8 arrives with Moebius, Part 2. And it's a good one.   We are so happy to see Kawalsky back and he looks very happy to be there. We do wish the script had been a little more explicit as to what exactly is happening on this mission that they only refer to as “the mission.”   Christopher Judge's performance as the alternate Teal'c is really amazing. He's usually so stoic so to get to see all these emotions play out on his face is really nice.   Our one complaint is still about the Jack/Sam stuff. There's just no build-up to the moment of them getting together. It's just Jack calls her hot out of nowhere and that's it. Where was the flirting? Where were the side-long glances at each other? Silvana and Tegan watch Season 5, Episode 9 "Between Two Fires". This is the end of the Tollan storyline and the end of Narim and his cat.  Silvana explains Legends of the Hidden Temple to Tegan. Silvana and Tegan watch Season 5, Episode 4 "The Fifth Man". If only they had made this the fifth episode!! The SG-1 team has a fifth member, or does it? An alien has convinced them that he is an injured member of their team in need of help. Will we ever see this race again??? Absolutely not. What if Simmons was a Reol? Silvana and Tegan watch Season 5, Episode 3 "Ascension". In this episode an ascended being takes a shine to Sam and hitches a ride home so he can stalk her. If he stalks her long enough, will she love him? YES?!  This Sam-centric episode has some great scenes: Teal'c in a cowboy hat, for example. However, even Amanda Tapping's great acting and Jack not into Star Wars can make up for all the scenes in which we are screaming.  Silvana learns what she's supposed to say back to "live long and prosper". Tegan is shamed for not bringing a towel places. Silvana proposes having an onsite therapist at the SG-C for crewmembers and psychological analyses of aliens they encounter. What do you think? This is the second part of a three parter, that the ladies are not fans of.  Silvana and Tegan brainstorm some better storylines where the main drive of the plot isn't Teal'c being brainwashed. Silvana and Tegan discuss the tier ranking for Season 4 of "Stargate SG-1." There are some obvious episodes, like "Window of Opportunity" or "Point of No Return".  Sorry, we were too late with our "Jane the Virgin" warning; you'll just have to find it somewhere else.  Episodes with Jack/Sam romance immediately lose ranking. Silvana and Tegan take Sophia's opinions into consideration when deciding where to put "Entity".  Surprisingly, "The First Ones" was a bigger hit than anticipated. There's not even a trigger warning for this episode... SG-1 is challenged by a planet that has a narcotic effect on anyone that visits it. They meet a teenager named Loren and rescue him from this planet - to never be seen again. Silvana asks the most important question of this episode: Where are they defecating? is Teal'c an honorary Jehovah's Witness? Was there a Little Finger gao'uld equivalent? Tegan and Silvana watch Season 4, Episode 16 "2010". This episode is one of Silvana's favorite episodes and takes place ten years in the future. The Stargate program has been revealed to the world when a highly advanced people called the Aschen offer to share their technology with Earth. Could they be why the Earth birth rate is dropping? Yes, of course it is.  This episode has some excellent easter eggs, especially when the team visits the SG-C as a museum site.  Tegan didn't enjoy this episode as much as Silvana, but what did you think?
