This week on The Purpose Podcast, we have special guest Rachael Mann. Rachael has traveled the world ministering through song and recently released a new song titled ‘Control.' In this episode, we discuss Rachael's life as she grew up being called to ministry and her story behind the song control. [00:01:30] Rachael originally lived in Birmingham and then was called to Nashville to be able to pursue her calling in ministry. Again, God called her to move to Atlanta (unplanned) throughout her move; God has continued to confirm His word. [00:03:24] Beginning at the age of seven, Rachael began singing and continues to use her gift daily. [00:05:59] As time went on, Rachael began to pursue other genres of music. God vividly said, “Do you want to do this for the world or me?' Since then, she has walked entirely in her calling for Christian music. [00:08:48] God can touch people in creative ways. Many times the simple act of love is all someone needs to come into the Kingdom. [00:09:57] Living as a Christian has brought challenges, no one else in Rachael's family was saved, and because of the high call on her life often, she had to focus on God to recenter her song. [00:15:50] The power of songwriting is taking life experiences and releasing them into an authentic song. [00:19:23] The story behind the song ‘Control.' [00:22:27] The timing of the song has been a complete miracle. This song has been in the making for many months. Interestingly enough, in a time of such great fear and worry, God allowed Rachael to release this song. [00:27:57] God is breaking strongholds. Strongholds may be more profound than the current events around us. It could be fear to step out of your comfort zone or stepping into your destiny. [00:34:36] Rachael's advice to those who feel called to music ministry.
