In this episode, I bring you something that's been on my heart to recreate for years. Inspired by the spontaneous, powerful moments I used to have during the Clubhouse era, I've launched a new live format called "How May I Serve You Today? Ask Me Anything." The idea is simple: I open a Zoom room, stream it live on Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn, and invite people to jump in for real-time, unscripted conversations. Just like the Clubhouse rooms I used to host, my intention is to hold space for deep coaching, authentic dialogue, and transformational moments in full view of a live audience. This is what I love most about coaching: witnessing the miraculous in everyday moments. Now, I get to bring that to you in podcast form. This episode features four unique conversations, each with its own flavor and insight: Conversation 1 – Ramon: Distraction as Enlightenment | Time Stamp 00:11:30 Ramon Ray, motivational keynote speaker and event host asked how to stay focused when a flurry of possibilities tugs at his attention. Together we: Clarified his personal definition of distraction as “not being focused on a single task for a meaningful amount of time.” Explored how repeated distractions can signal mis-alignment, tasks that belong in someone else's zone of excellence, not his own zone of genius. Reframed procrastination as feedback rather than failure, helping Ramon see that some tasks may simply need to be delegated or dropped. Listen for: A practical mindset shift that turns every interruption into a cue for deeper self-inquiry and better task design. Conversation 2 – Curtis: Re-awakening the Power to Dream | Time Stamp 00:37:18 Long-time listener Curtis joined to envision life after retirement. He struggled at first, so I invited him to “play make-believe.” Once he let his imagination lead, an inspiring vision unfolded: Curtis is guiding a bus tour across Europe, Abbey Road photos in London, the Isle of Wight Festival, Disneyland Paris, Normandy beaches, and more. The exercise linked childhood memories of GI Joe adventures to present-day possibilities, proving his imaginative muscles are still strong. Listen for: A repeatable prompt you can use to help clients (or yourself) move past “I don't know” and paint a vivid future. Conversation 3 – DeLyn: Launching a Grief Podcast without Perfection Paralysis | Time Stamp 01:12:21 DeLyn, an educator and grief advocate, has several episodes recorded but hasn't published due to fear and tech concerns. Together we: Identified her top blockers—perfectionism, intro/outro music, editing, and a self-imposed August 30 National Grief Awareness Day deadline. Reframed “perfect” to mean “the best I can with what I have right now,” reducing her fear score from a nine to about a three. Offered simple launch logistics (Buzzsprout hosting, minimalist artwork, optional music) and reminded her that an unpolished but heartfelt episode serves more people than silence. Listen for: Practical tips for shipping creative work even when your inner critic demands studio-level production. Conversation 4 – Mark: Releasing a Lifelong Fear of Judgment | Time Stamp 01:47:04 Mark arrived carrying a visceral fear of sending invoices to clients, a pattern that traces back to ridicule on his first day of kindergarten. Our dialogue centered on: Using The Four Agreements, especially “Don't take anything personally” and “Don't make assumptions” as daily practice. Viewing critics and trolls as mirrors that reveal hidden internal triggers, turning them into unexpected allies. Recognizing the physical release of fear (a “lightness in the chest” and tears) as evidence that old stories are dissolving. Listen for: A real-time demonstration of how a single mindset tool can lift decades-old emotional weight. Enjoy the episode, and if you'd like to join a future live session, keep an eye on my email list or hop into the stream the next time you see the “How May I Serve You Today?” banner.
The Stoics didn't pretend anxiety didn't exist—they faced it head-on. But instead of fearing uncertainty, they trained their minds to focus on what's within their power. In today's episode, we explore a modern take on the Stoic approach to anxiety, skipping the gloom and leaning into response-based confidence.Key Takeaways:✅ Anxiety stems from trying to control the uncontrollable✅ Stoicism teaches us to shift our focus inward—toward action, not outcome✅ You don't need to imagine disaster to be prepared✅ Visualize how you respond to challenge, not just success✅ Inner stability is built through presence, not prediction Make sure to subscribe and follow me for updates, tips, and more ways to stay in the flow! The Corporate Capture of Carbon Footprints: A Nonprofit Perspective In the latest episode of the Nonprofit Newsfeed, hosted by George and Nick from Whole Whale, the discussion takes a thought-provoking turn towards the concept of "corporate capture" and the real origins of the term "carbon footprint." This episode delves into how corporations, particularly British Petroleum (BP), have strategically shifted the focus of environmental responsibility onto consumers. George Weiner reveals that the term "carbon footprint" was not coined by environmental activists but was part of a $200 million PR campaign by BP in the early 2000s. This revelation highlights the concept of "guilt washing," a tactic that deflects systemic environmental issues onto individuals, thus masking the broader corporate responsibility for climate change. Key Insights and Reflections: Corporate Influence on Environmental Narratives: The episode uncovers how major corporations have historically influenced environmental discussions to avoid regulatory scrutiny, using terms like "carbon footprint" to redirect blame. The Role of Individual vs. Systemic Change: George emphasizes the importance of understanding the systemic causes of environmental degradation, suggesting that while individual actions matter, they are not the sole solution. Pope Francis' Environmental Advocacy: The episode also pays tribute to the late Pope Francis, recognizing his significant contributions to environmental advocacy. Additional Stories: Revival of the Ice Bucket Challenge: The Ice Bucket Challenge has made a comeback, this time raising awareness for mental health issues through the #SpeakYourMind campaign by University of South Carolina students. Generational Shifts in Charitable Giving: A recent Associated Press poll reveals a potential "generosity crisis" with younger Americans giving less to charity, raising questions about cultural shifts in philanthropy.

In this episode, I'm opening up about something we all face but rarely talk about—rejection. I recently went through an experience that shook me, but instead of letting it define me, I chose to learn from it. I'm sharing how I shifted my mindset, found power in reflection, and discovered that a "no" can actually open doors to something even better.I'll talk about the importance of pressing pause—especially if you're constantly in go-mode—and why self-care isn't selfish, it's essential. I'm also encouraging you to do something simple but powerful: make a list of your wins. Sometimes, we need that reminder of who we are and what we've already overcome. This episode is for anyone navigating a setback, looking for clarity, or just needing a little boost to keep going. I've been there—and I want you to know, you're not alone, and the journey ahead is still yours to claim.LINKS Listen on Apple: https://apple.co/4ltDKN0Listen on Spotify: https://bit.ly/4j11ExCWatch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/Ljkg_JEQXUoFollow Brush Strokes Pottery on Instagram Shop Ceramic Cactus - https://brushstrokespottery.com**use code Podcast for 15% off**NOMINATE AN ARTIST:If you'd like to nominate an artist (can be yourself) send us an email at info@brushstrokespottery.comKeywords:artist, ceramics, social media, creative journey, positive mindset, community, entrepreneurship, overcoming rejection, small business, female entrepreneur, small batch ceramics, art podcast, artist journey
In this episode of In Totality, I had the pleasure of speaking with Carl Lentz for a vulnerable, honest, and meaningful conversation about grace, redemption, and what a renewed faith looks like. This is Carl's first time on the podcast, and we didn't hold back. We talked about the power of God's correction, and the process of rebuilding faith, and what it means to live fully dependent on God — even in the private, hidden places too.If you've ever felt disqualified, distant, or unsure of how to move forward with your faith, I pray this episode reminds you: God still calls, covers, and invites us to walk with Him toward wholeness.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
You've Been Framed! Break Free of All Frames of Reference! 5-Day Online Retreat Guided by Shunyamurti, Easter Weekend, April 18 - 22, 2025 https://bit.ly/Break-Free-All-Frames If you are stuck in a limited identity as an ego, then you have been framed—victimized by a family system working for the larger social order to keep you under their control. You probably are burdened by a guilt complex even though you are still innocent, and further agitated by anger at the situation, and projecting the same forces into your current environment and relationships. So, the therapeutic technique of reframing is urgent. But the deeper work is to free your Self of all frames of reference and return to Your original infinite nature. This is the focus of our next online retreat.

Pieter Bruegel the Elder's Landscape with the Fall of Icarus reimagines Ovid's Metamorphoses, transforming the myth of Icarus into a meditation on human indifference and folly. This episode unpacks how Bruegel intertwines visual storytelling with contemporary Dutch and Flemish proverbs, reframing Icarus' tragic fall as a subtle commentary on the world's disregard for individual suffering. Roughly 10 years ago, when I was in my early days of covering film festivals, I was thrilled to get the opportunity to sit down with the team responsible for a movie that spotlighted a group of women who were, and still are, utter forces in film and television. That team? The filmmakers behind Raze, led by prolific stunt performer and coordinator, Zoë Bell.Well aware of her work in Kill Bill, Death Proof, Inglorious Basterds, Whip It, and then some, I was quite eager to see what Bell could do both in front of and behind the lens in new ways. Not only did she headline Raze, but she also produced it and heavily contributed to the development of the story and the action right from the start. It was a significant leap that suggested she'd continue to soar in film and television in a multitude of ways.Sure enough, at the end of September 2024, there we were celebrating Raze 10 years after release, discussing her accomplishments working on blockbusters like Thor: Ragnarok and Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, and teasing her upcoming feature directorial debut. Bell is a proven unstoppable powerhouse in this business, and it was a treat and honor to get to discuss how she found her craft and voice in such a high-pressure line of work, and how she continues to expand that skill set every step of the way, making a bigger and bigger mark on this industry with her art. Maya Ehnat was brought up to be comfortable with birth, and so from the get-go, her language and approach weren't fear-based. Beyond that, much of the preparation she did during pregnancy was guided by a desire to minimize trauma and bring heaps of pleasure and joy into the experience. She shares with Adriana how although her first birth was long and quite challenging, she wouldn't describe it as painful. Now her second birth? That one was filled with power, permission, fluidity, and delight.Sponsor offers - TIME SENSITIVE! Once I realized in college that marketing didn't have to come from a nasty place. That marketing could actually be changing, the way people purchase is changing so wouldn't the marketing? In college we took persuasion classes, learned about Cult marketing, how people think, why they are primed to purchase or fall into something vs. another. It was very interesting, but I always wondered how social media would impact this type of marketing. Don't get me wrong, there are still many marketers that use social media in a way I am not aligned with. But I do believe that there is a way to market yourself without feeling nasty or out of alignment while you do so - even more, your business will depend on making that shift, or it wont survive in today society. Marketing to me is about sharing my knowledge with others so they can discern if we think similarly or not, and if they would like to opt into our content conversations, services etc. Its not about pushing, persuading, or manipulating. Its about sharing, connecting, and creating for one another. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
2023. Not the best of year for us ... and for many that we know. But with one inspirational holiday text from her good friend, Nathan, CH reframes her look back on a challenging year, finds the light within, and looks ahead to 2024. Show Notes CH's visions for 2024 (which some might call resolutions) are as follows: To remember to turn on the light (cue Albus Dumbledore) To find the joy in the simplest things To dream big To believe in the kindness of strangers To trust the path To not succumb to fear, worry or doubt To return to favorite places and perhaps find new ones To be present in the moment and enjoy the space in that moment - however it may be defined The Happy Holidays message featuring actress Danielle Savre's (Maya Bishop) inclusive combination of Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanza into a single word can be found on this reel via the official Station 19 Instagram page.
This Q&A conversation is based off the sermon titled "Suffering Reframed" given on Nov. 19 2023 based on 1 Peter 4:12 - 19.
1Peter 4:12 - 19Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name. For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And“If the righteous is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”Therefore let those who suffer according to God's will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good.
