This is a great time of year to make an appointment with yourself and commit to doing a real honest review with yourself. Take a look at the last two or three years of your life and step back. Do an honest assessment of where you are now compared to where you were twelve months and twenty-four months ago. Has there been any growth? Have you seen your wildest dreams come true, personally and professionally? In your business and / or in your corporate life? In your health and physical fitness? In your relationships? In your finances? How about when it comes to time and money freedom? What you want for you? In what you would love to be, do, have and experience in your life? Are you truly, really and truly, living the life you would love to live, the life that up until now you have only dreamt about? Reading books, listening to podcasts, getting a coach, enrolling in program after program is most often NOT what is missing if you have not yet realized your personal and professional goals. In my work with individuals on their own personal development or when I work with small business owners or corporate teams and professionals, it comes down to understanding followed by appropriate action. In this episode I go into depth about what exactly needs to be understood. Get these pieces right, through understanding and discovery, then make adjustments; and you will very quickly move way out in front of the herd holding the keys to the realization of your most extraordinary vision for your life and living. Set your intention now for the upcoming year. Commit to doing this personal and professional evaluation. And most of all, don't buy into all your excuses for staying stuck right where you always seem to be. Listen in now and begin at once to move in the direction of your dreams. Dr. Koz (and effect!) Okay, back in the day (which basically means pre-smart phone) pretty much everybody had a planner. People like Stephen J. Covey made daily planners pretty much a necessity for anyone who wanted to stay organized and be successful. Until…keeping calendars and notes on your phone became “the thing.” But you wanna know a secret? There are still a lot of us who prefer paper daily and monthly planners…and a bunch more who are starting to. I think part of it is just the process of writing things down. It's powerful. And can we just be honest and say that a break from electronics is good for our brain? I created the Because I Can daily planner specifically for ecommerce entrepreneurs like me. It incorporates goal planning, monthly and daily planning, life balance stuff, dreaming—everything that we do as business builders. It's probably not a secret that I wondered how it would work for other people, too. Fortunately, it's been a big success for so many others—including Alix Trabucco, who is joining me on the Because I Can Life podcast. She's talking about her entrepreneurial journey, how she uses her daily planner in a variety of ways, how her teenage son uses the planner…and what's next for them both. Key TakeawaysIntro (00:00)Get yourself a free planner! In this episode we wrap up the discussion based on the book by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer titled, "10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace." In this episode we conclude with chapter ten which is all about avoiding thoughts that weaken us. Many of us don't even realize that our thoughts have the power to determine what is taking place within us. Every thought you have either weakens you or strengthens you. This strengthening or weakening takes place not just in consciousness but in your physical body as well; in every organ, cell and fiber of your being. We must be vigilant and pay attention to which direction our thoughts are leading us. It's up to our Self to take control, to determine the direction we wish to go. It's up to us to choose thoughts that are in alignment with the life we would love to live or to choose thoughts that weaken us and move us into an undesirable emotional state. The time is now to take some inner inventory. We need to look behind the curtain and in the shadows to determine if we harbor thoughts of shame, guilt, apathy, animosity or any other thoughts that weaken us. Listen in now, don't wait. Develop this inner awareness that notices the direction of your thoughts; thoughts which either empower you or weaken you. Then consciously take control. It all starts here. Begin now, setting the intention to make the year ahead your best year ever, living the life you would love to live! Dr. Kozs (and effect!) Dr. Stephen J. In this episode I continue discussing a little book by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer titled, 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace. In this episode I take a look at chapter nine which is all about moving into an always on awareness of our own divinity. So many of the reasons we stay stuck is because we feel we are separate from everything that we truly want to be, do, and have. When we realize that we are not only one with our Source but one of It, made of It and that there is no place we can go where IT is not, we truly move into The Genesis Frequency. The ego works hard to keep us attached to what our senses say we are. It keeps us trapped in a very limited view of our self. It keeps us in a place where we believe we have to compete for everything we want, for our share, because we falsely believe there is only so much to go around. Listen in to today's episode to gain an understanding of the importance of spiritual integration in your life, personally and professionally, and you'll walk away knowing that this is the biggest game changer there is when it comes to living the life you would love to live. "Whatever it is that you envision for yourself - no matter how lofty or impossible it may seem to you right now - I encourage you to begin acting as if what you would like to become is already your reality. This is a wonderful way to set in motion the forces that will collaborate with you to make your dreams come true. To activate the creative forces that lie dormant in your life, you must go to the unseen world. the world beyond your form. Here is where what doesn't exist for you in your world of form will be created. You might think of it in this way: in form, you receive in-formation. When you move to spirit, you receive in-spiration. It is in this world of inspiration that will guide you to access anything that you would like to have in your life." - Dr. Wayne W. Dyer This is a must when it comes to manifesting all you wish to be, do and have in your life. And this isn't just for individuals striving to live the life they would love to live. This applies to the small business owner as well as every single person in a corporate environment; from the executive team to the front line employees. By the way, this is one of the quickest ways to establish corporate culture as well. Miss this one or worse yet, blow it off, and you'll be missing out on one of your greatest tools to make quantum leaps when it comes to the realization of your objectives and loftiest goals. In this episode I continue discussing a little book by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer titled, 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace. In this episode I take a look at chapter seven which is all about taking personal responsibility and getting out of the habit of blame. So often we point the finger of blame at other people, at conditions, at events, at circumstances and situations; being the reason why we are not experiencing a more abundant life. It's time for more inner work asking yourself who or what do you resent. When we point the finger of blame we give away our power. When we take responsibility for whatever shows up in our lives we own it. When we own it we can remove it or grow from it with the wisdom gained. Before you say this doesn't apply to me, please know that often resentments are buried deep in our subconscious mind. We may not even be consciously aware of harboring any resentments, but if they are there, even buried deep, they are influencing our choices and decisions thus robbing us of our power to create the life we would love to live. I very often find, with many people and even companies, that this is the very anchor that keeps so many locked into the same old place. If you or your team feels stuck where you really don't want to be yet you're wondering why you can't move or grow, you definitely want to listen in to this episode. It's time to take back your power and move from bondage to liberty. This is one way we make quantum leaps in our personal and professional development. Dr. Koz (and effect!) Dr. Stephen J. This reminds me of the popular Einstein quote: "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." This is about changing our frequency and getting out of ego based, little, self-centered me consciousness, going beyond group consciousness and living from a higher consciousness that is truly problem free. In 1891, a mysterious figure appeared on the streets of London, dispensing pills to poor young women who then died in agony. Suspicion came to center on a Scottish-Canadian doctor with a dark past in North America. In this week's episode of the Futility Closet podcast we'll describe the career of the Lambeth Poisoner, whose victims remain uncounted. Why we MUST meet our protein requirements and what happens when we don't. What is protein leverage? How much should our average protein intake be as humans? Could this explain the obesity epidemic? What did they discover when they did a massive experience on fruit flies to see if the popular theory that calorie restriction helped with longevity. Or if it was what they ate that made the difference? Flies versus humans. What is the problem eating too much protein? In episode 92 of Climb In Consulting Nick speaks with Jonathan Davis, managing director at Avaloq. Jonathan started his career at Anderson Consulting in the late 1980s where he managed to get his foot in the door despite not having the educational success of many of his peers. That didn't stop him working his way up from the unloved outsourcing department to become an equity partner at the time of its IPO. Since then, he's taken on a number of varied and challenging roles ranging from attempting to buy a small car manufacturer to helping turn around Capco, to leading FIS's £400m Middle East and African business. As you can imagine, he's learned a huge amount along the way about what makes good teams tick and how to build colleague and client relationships that really work. As well as the ups and downs of his career, Nick and Jonathan delve deeper into the human side of consulting, including: - How Jonathan overcame his own insecurities to have the successful career he has - The secrets to motivating your team and how to get everyone on the same page to achieve a common goal - And why getting your top table right is critical to your consultancy's success Few people in our industry can match Jonathan's breadth of experience and he brings a huge number of valuable insights to this conversation. Whatever stage of your career you are at, whether you're attempting to break into the consulting business, refine your leadership skills or try something a little different, this is a conversation well worth listening to. We're moving through a little book by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer titled, 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace. In this episode we take a look at number five which is about being a victim of your personal history. This can be a real wake up call for many of us once we realize we often wear our history like a garment allowing the past to define who we are. Wayne Dyer says: "It's my experience that most people live their life by hanging on to personal histories to justify their self-defeating behaviors, and the scarcity in their lives. They hang on to the past pains, abuses and shortcomings as calling cards to announce a 'poor me' status to everyone they meet, within minutes of their introduction. 'I was abandoned as a child,' 'I'm an alcoholic,' 'I'm an incest survivor,' 'My parents were divorced and I've never gotten over it.' The list could go on for hundreds of pages." By anchoring into your past you prevent yourself from moving forward into all you wish to be, do and have in your life. Listen in to today's episode as we take a deeper dive into this chapter. Perhaps you'll discover what is holding YOU back from living the life you would love to live! Dr. Koz (and effect!) Dr. Stephen J. Kosmyna, Ph.D. The Genesis Frequency / Success Ocean
