Friends of the Rosary,In April 2005, Pope Benedict XVI, then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, warned against the "dictatorship of relativism" in which we live. This week, during the first hearing of President Donald Trump's Religious Liberty Commission, Bishop Robert Barron, bishop of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester, Minnesota, echoed Pope Benedict XVI's warning, highlighting how "religion is being attacked in our society." “This attack is coming from the culture of self-invention: the complete prioritization given to individual autonomy; that we decide value, that we decide meaning, that we decide purpose."Many members of the commission and guest witnesses expressed similar concerns about the lack of faith and decline in religious liberty in the country through laws and regulations at the federal and state levels of government. This 14-member commission includes two Catholic prelates: Barron and Cardinal Timothy Dolan.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! The God of the Bible is the Most Relational Being in the Universe. Bishop Robert Barron, once talked about the uniqueness of the Christian God. God is Love. And then he paraphrased St. Augustine's Treatise on the Holy Trinity. The Father is the Lover. The Son is the Beloved. And the Holy Spirit is the bond of Love between them. The Father is the Lover. The Son is the Beloved. And the Holy Spirit is the bond of Love between them. And Jesus says this in this Gospel. Everything I have is from the Father. The Father gives it to me. And the Holy Spirit is going to give it to you. And St. Athanasius said that out of this relationship between the members of the Godhead, there is creativity. It is like a nuclear reaction. The interaction between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is by nature a creative force. ----- You can get the Belonging House Friday Email at https://mailchi.mp/44964233320d/friday-email-signup Christ John Otto writes at https://christjohnotto.substack.com You can support us at https://www.zeffy.com/donation-form/raise-up-an-army-of-artists https://buymeacoffee.com/christjohnotto You can view Belonging House Books here: https://bookshop.org/shop/belonginghouse

Tucker Carlson has been involved in several notable activities and discussions recently. One of the significant interactions was his interview with Bishop Robert Barron, where they discussed various cultural and faith-related topics. During this conversation, which took place on June 2, Carlson and Barron talked about finding happiness, the role of prayer and grace, and the impact of technology on society. Barron emphasized that true happiness comes from forgetting oneself and losing oneself in a greater value, and that a sense of God is essential for achieving this state[5].In addition to this interview, Carlson has continued to engage with his audience through his show. He recently answered viewers' questions on a range of topics, including Joe Biden's longevity, the message of Jesus from the Bible, and the responsibilities faced by single fathers. This interactive segment is part of his ongoing effort to connect with his viewers and address their concerns[1].On the international front, Carlson has made headlines with his warnings about the geopolitical situation involving Iran. He cautioned that attacking Iran, given its alliances, could lead to a world war and potential U.S. defeat. This statement reflects his ongoing commentary on global politics and the potential consequences of military actions[2].Carlson's media ventures remain active, with his show now available on multiple platforms, including his own website and various podcast services. He has also been promoting his community initiative, encouraging viewers to join a community dedicated to defending the truth and unlocking exclusive benefits[1].There have been no recent reports of legal or professional developments involving Carlson, but his influence on media and politics continues to be a subject of discussion. His interactions with other public figures, such as former Democrats like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, and media personalities like Glenn Greenwald, highlight the realignment and diverse perspectives within the political landscape[1].Thank you for listening to the Tucker Carlson news tracker podcast. However, just as the cathedral has risen from the ashes, so too has the Catholic church with record numbers of adults baptised in the past 2 years. As Pope Leo XIV heralds a new era for Catholicism, Justin speaks to converts, evangelists and clergy about a surprising revival taking place among young people. Bishop Robert Barron, Tony Wilson, Rusty Reno, Frank Skinner, Rob Schneider, Paul Kingsnorth & Tom Holland contribute. St. Paul the Apostle is known as possibly the most prolific author in the Bible. At Mass inside St. Mary's Chapel at The Saint Paul Seminary, Bishop Robert Barron explains how Saul's conversion on the road to Damascus set in motion the evangelical task of every Christian today.
Bishop Robert Barron recently visited The Saint Paul Seminary to share biblical perspectives on the Catholic priesthood. "The central theme of Scripture is right praise," he told the seminary community, and priests "knit together the universe" by leading this right praise.

A New Testament figure venerated as a saint in a number of Christian traditions, Nicodemus is depicted in the Gospel of John as a Pharisee and a member of the Sanhedrin who is drawn to hear Jesus's teachings. Owing to his insistence on a hearing for Jesus according to Jewish law, Nicodemus is sometimes referred to as 'defender of Jesus.' What is the nature and purpose of prayer? The question may sound simple, but it unearths some complex philosophical and theological issues. If God is omniscient, what is the point of speaking with him, either out loud or in our thoughts if he already knows what we have to say? If God is all good and all powerful, why does it sometimes appear that our prayers go unanswered? More practically, what are we to make of the great diversity of prayers—liturgical prayer, petitionary prayer, worship prayer, the Rosary? Are some forms of prayer more efficacious than others? Here are some tips on how we can understand and grow in our prayer life. A listener asks why Catholics pray for the dead and if we should pray for the souls of non-Catholics too. 00:00 | Intro 01:34 | Bishop Barron's holiday season recap 02:45 | What prompted the publication of An Introduction to Prayer? 03:37 | What does it mean to pray? 05:31 | If God knows everything, why do we pray? 07:38 | If God is unchanging, how does prayer change things? 15:53 | If God is all-good, why do prayers go unanswered? 18:40 | How is prayer different for the Christian? 21:56 | The importance of liturgical prayer 23:47 | Understanding contemplative prayer 28:24 | Properly understanding the intercession of the saints 31:25 | Practical principles for growing in prayer 33:41 | Forgiveness as a prerequisite for answered prayers 35:07 | Listener question 37:31 | Join the Word on Fire Institute Links: An Introduction to Prayer by Bishop Robert Barron: https://bookstore.wordonfire.org/products/an-introduction-to-prayer Word on Fire Institute: https://institute.wordonfire.org/ NOTE: Do you like this podcast?
