Zoë Coombs Marr is a comedian, writer, performer and, to be frank, she's annoyingly good at all of it. Zoë has performed all over the world, won a bunch of big awards, and become one of Australia's most celebrated and innovative comedians. In this episode, Zoë talks about a friendship as long as her memory, making friends that last for one night, the art of gossiping, theatre friends, and much more!CONTACTText - 0431 345 145Email - fwendspod@gmail.comMail - PO Box 24144, Melbourne, Vic, 3001RATE AND REVIEWOf course you've already subscribed or followed the show, now we'd love you to leave a rating and a review. This is the 200th episode of The Saturday Quiz, and what better way to mark the occasion than by having two of the funniest comedians to have ever answered the quiz, do it all over again?Zoë and Alexei have never been on the show together, but their rapport is brilliant. Zoë Coombs Marr and Tom Walker are two of the funniest and most creative comedians at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. If this episode of the quiz is anything to go by, there are very few boundaries either of them are too cautious to cross. This one comes with a bit of a content warning, so if you've got little ones listening, you might wanna skip ahead once Tom talks about his show and when he shares his favourite piece of trivia. Zoë Coombs Marr has been making us laugh for years. You might have seen her doing award winning stand up comedy, often doing meta shows that twist our brains. Maybe you caught her alter ego Dave, or have seen Zoë pop up on The Weekly, The Project and watched her brilliant 3 part series Queerstralia.Zoë is one of my favourite creators; she always keeps me guessing with what she'll do next, and she always does it differently to everyone else. Her 2024 comedy show seems to be her most personal to date, cos it's her story. “Every Single Thing In My Whole Entire Life” will see her dig through it all, on stage across Australia. It's an idea that lends itself well to a soundtrack, which is why I asked her to Take 5. From Elaine Stritch to Yothu Yindi to Romy, this is a funny and glorious conversation about life itself.Yothu Yindi - Treaty Elaine Stritch - Are You Having Any Fun The Lemonheads - The Outdoor Type Hot Chip - Bath Full of EcstasyRomy - Enjoy Your Life

Forget the ambiguous notifications from Co-Star – the comedy crystal ball will tell you everything you need to know about 2024 (no guarantees). The following recording is an excerpt from the event featuring our fabulous host for the evening, Karen From Finance and comedian and 3RRR Breakfaster, Nat Harris. It was recorded on Tuesday 5 December 2023 at The Wheeler Centre. In fair Verona is where we set our scene... with the legend that is Comedian Zoe Coombs Marr!"Romeo and Juliet" is a really old story about really young love, written by William Shakespeare (ALLEGEDLY!)The movie we watched is a 1996 action/romance directed by Baz Luhrmann. The Montagues and the Capulets hate each other. They fight lots like the gangs in "West Side Story" except without the songs and the dancing and the white washing... although there is a bit of white washing in this film. When Romeo (a Montague) and Juliet (a Capulet) fall in love with each other. Together they have sex and tell each other how they feel a lot. Their romance hits a bit of a roadblock when their mates start killing each other. John Leguizamo plays Tybalt, Juliet's cousin. He hates Romeo so much. He wears low cut pants and a cool vest. He's vindictive and hot. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
