A little bonus for you! The final Fearless in Devotion live night panel puts you in the company of two of Wrexham's past heroes.Neil Ashton is ex-Ch*ster and well known for his moaning, but don't let that put you off. Mark Carrington was a Mr Wrexham who played almost every position for us over eight seasons.Together they're an easy double act who lift the lid on some huge matches (such as Stoke away in the FA Cup) and talk about some big characters from our past.Kevin Wilkin's ears will be been burning though. The story about Big Kev in a vest at the back of a coach arm wrestling players for a fiver a pop (and winning) was classic. He then got off the coach and mooned it. And STILL Ashy doesn't like him despite all those shenanigans.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Enjoy this Fat Boar-sponsored episode? We talk best goals, best games, best swearing and a beautiful tribute to Philip J Parkinson. We look at the Kop and what Rob wants to do next plus a little on the new kits. We end with a rousing speech how we can do it on Saturday. It's going down to the wire. Rhys, Tim and Andy look at the loss against Champions Coventry and ask was it a free hit or a f**k up? We reveal high news about a prospective guest before going through the missed opportunity at the Coventry Arena. Was it bad defending for the opener? Did Issa Kabore mean to cut back exactly there for the equaliser? If Thomason strike goes in instead of hitting the post do we get at least a point. But the big question is… should Danny Ward have done better with the free-kick? There are passionate arguments either side on that one.We then pick our teams for the massive game against Middlesbrough and ask the big question - will we make the play offs?#wrexham #wrexhamafc #wxmafc #wrexhamfc #coventrycityfc #coventrycity #middlesbroughfc #derbycounty #hullcity #ryanrenolds #robmcelhenney #eflchampionship #efl To subscribe to our Wrexham is the Game newsletter for £14.80 visit here: https://wrexhamisthegame.substack.com...Enjoy this Fat Boar-sponsored episode? It's the next part of the Fearless in Devotion live night! Here Wrexham Women's boss Jenny Sugarman gave us a class half hour answering the big questions about a mega successful season - the biggest in our history. There's a bit about her, how she got the job (it was old school), targets this term, standout moment, Wales vs England, Wrexham vs South Wales, European nights, hopes for the future and if we can ever be the 'best in the world' side that Ryan and Rob want. There's lots, lots more so spend 30 minutes with a very impressive lady.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Enjoy this Fat Boar-sponsored episode? It's back in our hands. Amazing really considering where we were after the Birmingham defeat but you can never count out Philip J Parkinson. Andy, Tim and Liam look at the scrappy win at Oxford and see where it leaves us in the play off hunt. We discuss how good Matty James was, why Josh Windass is the match winner (again) at the right time of the season and how Dom Hyam was superb at the back. But do we have problems down the right hand side though with two massive games ahead? We're joined by Coventry fan Laura Hartley to go through Sunday's big match and find out if the Sky Blues will still be partying (and if they'll take up Rob Mac's kind Vegas offer). We look at the key players and what's changed under Frank Lampard, before we give our verdicts on the rest of the season and if we'll make the playoffs. We also pay tribute to a real club legend who has passed away.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Enjoy this Fat Boar-sponsored episode? Wrexham are back in with a shout of the play-offs. Rhys, Tim, Liam and Andy examine our rather comfortable win against Stoke, while biggest play off rivals Hull could only manage a draw. Phil Parkinson made some big calls dropping Arthur Okonkwo and Max Cleworth and there's differing opinions on whether he was right to do it.We also ask if Josh Windass has the X-Factor to get us over the line, is Callum Doyle back to his best and who is our early shout for player of the season. We predict what we need to get into the play offs and how we see the rest of the season panning out.The lads also discuss our latest live night where had some great guests who gave us some brilliant insight into the club now and in the past.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Enjoy this Fat Boar-sponsored episode? It was the latest Fearless in Devotion live night at the Maesgwyn Hall on Thursday (April 17) and we couldn't leave you hanging. Wrexham CEO Michael Williamson gave us 50 minutes of his time and answered all the big questions you posed to him (and a few from us). These include: loyalty scheme (or lack of it), away pricing, season tickets in the future, lots and lots (and lots) on the Kop, plus the rest of the ground development, the training ground, the academy, the pre-season tours and the transfer window rated and slated. Oh and of course, where is the Rockin' Robin suit and does he wear it. Have we forgotten something? Probably…so you'll just have to listenOther panels we have to come in the coming weeks are : Kevin Russell, Mark Carrington and Neil Ashton, Jenny Sugarman and Ben Tozer------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Enjoy this Fat Boar-sponsored episode? Is the play off dream gone? That's the stark question Andy and Tim have to answer after another horrific defeat in a week seems to have derailed a season. Too many players were off par and we're looking at you Max, Arthur, George Dobson and Matty James. We pick the bones out of a painful defeat at bogey side Birmingham and ask if there are positives we can take into the last four games of the season. We also re-rate the transfer window and go through the final few games and try to identify where we can pick up points. But there is some good news this week as we get a huge announcement from Hollywood as Welcome to Wrexham is renewed for three seasons. Surely that gives us three more chances to get to the Premier League?#wrexham #wrexhamafc #wxmafc #wrexhamfc #birminghamcity #birminghamcityfootballclub #southamptonfc #hullcity #ryanrenolds #robmcelhenney #eflchampionship #efl To subscribe to our Wrexham is the Game newsletter for £14.80 visit here: https://wrexhamisthegame.substack.com...You can buy tickets for the Live Night here: https://www.mghall.co.uk/events/fearl... Welcome to the ‘Wrexham got hammered' edition - they don't happen very often! We look at what went wrong but we have to take our hats off to Southampton. They are the benchmark we need to reach. But first we reveal some big news! Then we dive into the analysis and ask if Parky or the players are to blame plus what we can do to turn things around. Welcome to the Easter sore head edition. Tim, Andy and to a lesser extent Liam hit West Brom hard but like the team, we've recovered (well, sort of). We ask why were Wrexham so passive in the first half and so good in the second. Was Arthur to blame for the first and why was Issa definitely to blame of the second. But then, the second half - how good was Windass and have we made peace with him not celebrating. We look at two beautiful goals and one amazing, world class save - whatever other people think. We'll then look ahead to the Southampton match and ask if we'd change anything (Note: Liam does want to change things). We also ask should Hyam go to the World Cup and examine the women's team furore over Jodie Bartle's passionate team talk which drew sexist comments.#wrexham #wrexhamafc #wxmafc #wrexhamfc #westbromwichalbion #westbrom #southamptonfc #southampton #ryanrenolds #robmcelhenney #eflchampionship #efl You can buy tickets for the Live Night here: https://www.mghall.co.uk/events/fearless-in-devotion-rescheduled-date-16th-aprilEnjoy this Fat Boar-sponsored episode? Another little bonus for you! In a finance special Liam and Andy are joined by Dan Plumley senior lecturer in football finance at Sheffield Hallam University for a fascinating deep dive into Wrexham AFC's record-breaking finances. We delve into the £33.3m turnover, the £14.8m losses and the amazing 57.7% rest of the world revenue. And we ask the big questions such as are Wrexham effectively a Premier League business, does being such a global brand carry risks and is a £70m Kop Stand the only way we can go. We examine the private equity boost from Apollo investments and the £3.8m lost when a broker went bust.We also look at the £4m paid to Ryan Reynolds' and Rob Mac's marketing companies, plus the £2m+ given to promote Welcome to Wrexham and ask is that money well spent. It's a fascinating insight into some astounding accounts#wrexham #wrexhamafc #wxmafc #wrexhamfc #footballfinance #sheffieldwednesday #ryanrenolds #robmcelhenney #welcometowrexham #s4c Hosted on Acast. We've done it. Wrexham Woman are Adran champions and European football is coming back to the Racecourse. We go through an amazing win for Jenny Sugerman's charges. The match has been a culmination of great work by Gemma Jones over a long period of time of time as she realises a dream. We have special mention for Lili Jones, Faye Knox and of course top goal scorer Katie Barker. There's also the small matter of record-breaking Wrexham AFC accounts. Liam was one of a few journalists invited to the media briefing and he takes through the key points including a £33.33 million turnover, a 24% increase from the previous year. Losses have gone up to £14.84 million and the Kop will cost just shy of £70m. There are also payments to Rob and Ryan's companies totalling nearly £4m - plus an amazing stat about where our revenue comes from.Oh and Wales lost, but let's gloss over that…Photo credit: Wrexham AFC#wrexham #wrexhamafc #wxmafc #wrexhamfc #westbromwichalbion #wrexhamwomen #sheffieldunited #ryanrenolds #robmcelhenney #welcometowrexham #s4c Watch Maxine Hughes: Cancer At What Cost? here....https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode...You can buy tickets for the FiD Live Night here: https://www.mghall.co.uk/events/fearl...Enjoy this Fat Boar-sponsored episode? We're back in the race. After a brilliant smash and grab against Sheffield United Rhys, Tim and Andy ask if that was the best win of the season. We examine just how Parky's battered army managed to turn it around at Bramall Lane and what it means for the play-off picture. Rhys lays into our fans in an amazing, and slightly unhinged tirade, while we hail Sam Smith, Issa Kabore and George Thomason for their recent efforts. We also examine a brilliant win with a brilliant goal for Wrexham Women, calls up to the Welsh side and give the sad news of the passing of a well-known Wrexham fan.We look ahead to Wales' crunch match and ask the question ‘what' your biggest internal celebration' Josh Windass style.#wrexham #wrexhamafc #wxmafc #wrexhamfc #watfordfc #hullcity #sheffieldunited #ryanrenolds #robmcelhenney You can buy tickets for the Live Night here: https://www.mghall.co.uk/events/fearl...Enjoy this Fat Boar-sponsored episode? The battle for the play-offs is heating up as Wrexham have left the door open to the chasing pack. Andy, Tim and Liam discuss Tuesday's loss to Watford and ask was it tiredness, or something more? Who is the most knackered out there and who do we really need back after the international break? But really, is everyone just overreacting and do we need to get real?We look at the referee's performance, the race for the play offs and ask if we really had a good transfer window in the cold light of day. We also explore if there's anyone we can bring in to bolster the squad or is it too late now.The lads also look ahead to the visit to Sheffield United, the proposed pre-season match with Manchester United and make a call to arms for the big women's match at the Racecourse.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Enjoy this Fat Boar-sponsored episode? We also pour through the bones of the Hull City defeat and ask if there's anything we could have done differently. And we also talk plus points from the Tigers including Bailey Cadamateri's bright cameo. We discuss free agents and what moves we could do to shore up the team that seems to be shaking after a draining FA Cup defeat to Chelsea. Happy St. David's Day! Join Rhys, Tim and Liam as we recap another massive week for the Town. We kick things off by dissecting the Charlton result, debating whether Wrexham are riding a wave of luck after those heroic blocks from Dobson and Kaboré. With Ollie Rathbone staking his claim for player of the season and Arthur Okonkwo pulling off a world-class save, we ask just how far this momentum can take us.Beyond the men's first team, we celebrate a historic afternoon at the Cardiff City Stadium where Wrexham Women defeated Cardiff 3-1 in front of FIFA boss Gianni Infantino. With goals from Faye Knox and a Katie Barker double, we discuss if we are witnessing a genuine changing of the guard in Welsh football. Finally, we are joined by Wrexham legend Mickey Thomas. Before we preview the Chelsea FA Cup clash, Mickey tells us about his fundraising for the Wrexham AFC Foundation and his time at Stamford Bridge under John Neal. He tells us some hilarious stories of his days with Joey Jones involving leather coats and sleeping in referee rooms. Mickey shares his unique perspective on both clubs before giving us his big prediction for the game. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

What a weekend for Wrexham AFC. Not only did the men pull off one of their greatest results since the takeover - the women's side snared their first bit of silverware. Tim, Andy and Rhys are ecstatic as they look at both amazing victories. As well as reflecting on Jenny Sugarman's history makers we ask: was that Lewis O'Brien's AND George Thomason's best game for Wrexham and how much credit must go to Parky for moulding ANOTHER promotion hunting team?We also look at a near assault on one our players, ask if Ben Sheaf really is out for the season and what do we think about our chances against Portsmouth.
