What if the biggest challenge facing your organization right now is not strategy, not technology, and not the economy, but the fact that 38 percent of your Gen Z employees have taken a mental health day after receiving feedback? This week, Jon Goehring and Coach Jim Johnson welcome Dr. Andrea Mata, known as Dr. Dre, clinical psychologist, speaker, high school football coach, adjunct professor, and author of a parenting book, for one of the most direct, practical, and genuinely eye opening conversations the Lounge has ever had.Dr. Dre opens with a reframe that every leader working with younger employees needs to hear: Gen Z is not broken. They are under equipped. She traces the root of the problem back two decades to a well-intentioned but consequential shift in parenting philosophy, explains how those patterns then carried into schools, and shows exactly why so many Gen Z employees arrive in the workforce without the adaptability and accountability skills that previous generations took for granted. The conversation gets immediately practical when Dr. Dre shares her three keys for leaders working with Gen Z employees. Move from annual reviews to 12 week evaluations built around specific behavioral expectations. Diagnose where your team members are under equipped and get them targeted support. And stop assuming basic professional skills are common knowledge, because for a generation that never had a landline, many of them simply are not.Jon and Coach also draw out Dr. Dre's framework for building culture from within, including the story of the high school football leadership group she facilitated where the players themselves debated over exactly how to visually represent the phrase we over me, and what that kind of ownership does for team culture at any level. The episode also covers the four Rs of logical consequences and why running sprints as punishment is one of the most common leadership mistakes coaches and managers both make, the five fundamentals of mental health that Dr. Dre uses with clients, and why she believes we are talking more about mental health than ever without actually understanding it any better. The episode closes with Dr. Dre's take on why traditional leadership is not landing with younger employees, and her answer comes back to the same principle she returns to throughout: high expectations and high support together are not a Gen Z accommodation. They are simply what great leadership has always looked like.Connect with Dr. Dre: andreadmata.comGrab her book on Amazon or visit her site for an autographed copy: https://www.amazon.com/No-Parenting-Book-Practical-Pooped/dp/B0CQVLC2YT

Welcome to the Personal Development Trailblazers Podcast! In today's episode, we're talking about how to become the hero of your own journey and create a beautiful, fulfilling, and happy life. Carl Frost is the founder of The Living Life Beautifully Project. He helps leaders and growth-minded people lead themselves first so they can show up with more clarity, steadiness, courage, and intention for the people and life in front of them. After more than 30 years of leading teams, building cultures, and developing people, Carl learned that the strongest leadership does not begin with a title. It begins with the person in the mirror. The hero in your story is not someone coming to rescue you. It is the steadier, more honest, more intentional version of you that has been there all along. As a Transformation Coach, Carl Frost helps people become the hero in their own story by guiding them toward greater alignment in their family life, work, and inner world. He empowers individuals to lead with intention, live with heart, and become the steadier, more honest, and more intentional version of themselves. Welcome to the Financial Freedom & Wealth Trailblazers Podcast! In today's episode, we're talking about how to rebuild your financial life, regain control of your money, and open the door to new opportunities that lead to lasting financial freedom. Ronald Monaco is a Financial & Credit Repair Professional at ReQualify 360, where his focus is helping clients move from credit setbacks toward stronger credit health and greater financial freedom. His work is centered on a simple but powerful outcome: helping pave the pathway for clients to rebuild, recover, and qualify for better financial opportunities. At ReQualify 360, Ronald operates in a space where credit health can shape almost every major money decision, from borrowing power to long-term financial stability. His role is about more than fixing scores; it is about guiding people through the process of requalifying financially so they can move forward with more confidence and more options.ReQualify 360 is a financial and credit repair company that positions itself around helping people requalify for a stronger financial future. In practical terms, that means working with clients who want to improve their credit profile and access a clearer path toward financial freedom. Ronald's work sits at the intersection of education, repair, and forward momentum, with the goal of turning financial frustration into a more workable plan. The credit repair and consumer finance landscape has become increasingly important as more people look for help navigating credit reporting, debt, and financial recovery. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's 2020 Consumer Response Annual Report noted more than 540,000 consumer complaints in 2020, and credit and consumer reporting complaints made up a major share of that volume. That context matters because it underscores why professionals like Ronald are needed: people want practical help, clearer answers, and a path to regain control of their financial lives. In that environment, Ronald's work with ReQualify 360 speaks to a broader shift in consumer finance: people are no longer just looking for information, they are looking for a process that helps them qualify again. His niche is built around helping clients restore credit health and pursue financial freedom with a more structured, outcome-driven approach.Connect with Ron Here: https://www.facebook.com/requalify360https://www.Requalify360.comGrab the freebie here: www.requalify360.com===================================If you enjoyed this episode, remember to hit the like button and subscribe. Uncover the truth about revolutionaries who hijacked the 70s — and why they're still shaping our world today. Have you ever wondered what fuels radicals to become what we call terrorists? Jason's new book, The Revolutionists, digs into the mindsets, characters, and global movements that blurred those lines in the 60s and 70s. In this episode we discuss the way revolutionary ideas—whether left-wing, right-wing, or religious—are often more fragmented than we realise. No monoliths here, just a wild mosaic of factions, motivations, and stories. These figures shaped today's conflicts in ways many of us overlook—like Bin Laden's rise from the chaos of that era.Chalke History Festival is on from the 22nd through to the 28th of June grab tickets from https://www.chalkefestival.comGrab a copy of The Revolutionists https://uk.bookshop.org/a/14692/9781529934540 Keep up to date with Jason viaHis Twitter: https://x.com/burke_jason The Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/profile/jasonburkeIf you want to get in touch with History with Jackson email: jackson@historywithjackson.co.ukTo support History with Jackson to carry on creating content subscribe to History with Jackson+ on Apple Podcasts or support us on our Patreon - https://patreon.com/HistorywithJackson?utm_medium=unknown&utm_source=join_link&utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator&utm_content=copyLinkTo catch up on everything to do with History with Jackson head to www.HistorywithJackson.co.ukFollow us on Facebook at @HistorywithJacksonFollow us on Instagram at @HistorywithJacksonFollow us on X/Twitter at @HistorywJacksonFollow us on TikTok at @HistorywithJackson Hosted on Acast.
