Barbara Majeski is no stranger to the spotlight. As a popular television personality, she has been featured on the TODAY show, Good Day NY, and New York Live. She has found success in her career and family, raising three children while pursuing her dreams. But her road to happiness has been challenging. In 2016, Majeski found herself somewhere she never thought she would be: divorced and diagnosed with late-stage cancer. Going through chemotherapy almost killed her, but she turned inward, focusing on her reason for moving forward, which was to help ensure her brother, who has special needs, was never institutionalized. "I couldn't get my wits about me, and I realized that all the things I was most proud of were things I wanted to quit," she says. "But I didn't quit because I knew I couldn't take care of Steven if I did. I had to do these things in the name of him." So Majeski persevered, beating cancer and launching a television career in her 40s after spending decades dreaming about it. And now, she is taking what she learned to help others. She has created courses to help women and men overcome doubt and frustration to live their best lives, focusing on mindset strategies and teaching others how to support their dreams. This year Majeski has concentrated on hosting live events and challenges that help you optimize your health, wealth, and happiness. Barbara Majeski is dedicated to living life with purpose and approaching all aspects of living with confidence and after recovering from her divorce and Stage III cancer the “Curator of the Good Life” was born. Barbara is a TV personality that loves sharing her tips and tricks. She has made frequent appearances on The TODAY Show, Good Day NY, New York Live and the Nick Cannon Show. Barbara is also a mother of three and resides in Princeton, New Jersey. In 2015 Barbara entered a divorce and was handed a diagnosis of Stage III cancer. While in the midst of treatment she vowed that if she beat cancer and got another shot at life she would live, bigger, better, and bolder with true purpose, meaning and intent. The three words that best describe Barbara are Purpose, Style and Adventure. Purpose is about not just living your life, but living a life with a true purpose. Don't just go through life thinking about taking that big step, take it and end on a true adventure. You cannot change the past, but you can take the lessons you have learned along the way and grow towards your best self. Being your best self is not solely about doing for yourself either, it is about helping others find their purpose. Style has always been important to Barbara and it is not about the brands that you wear, but in how you carry yourself! She believes that everyone is here for a purpose and you need to carry yourself with confidence. Barbara is all about swiping to left on your fears and self-doubt and swiping to the right for your future. People are going to judge you, so give them something to judge you about! Barbara believes that you need to live outside of your comfort zone and take your style and purpose and rock it! Adventure is how Barbara has always gone through life and how she teaches her children to live each and every day! Your life is one big adventure and you need to take your style and purpose and go on your own adventure. Live your best life and have no regrets and find gratitude for the lessons you have learned along the way. Barbara has taken her life lessons and created the 14-Day Accountability plan that sets the groundwork for crushing lofty goals and teaches you consistency, and habits and rituals that will last a lifetime. Once you take that first step and begin creating real change, you will begin living your life. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kara-allan/message

This week we (SW Florida) took a direct hit from Hurricane Ian. Let me say that it was the scariest day of my life. But we made it. Our local wedding community is strong and we will rebuild. I had to wait to get internet back in order to be able to drop this episode and the next few will most likely be delayed. Please stick with me though because we have so many good episodes to come. Are you at the point where you are determining what formality of wedding you'll be having? By formality I mean, White Tie, Black Tie, Black Tie invited or optional, Formal, Cocktail, Resort or Beach Casual, or Casual? In this episode Kristy and I will be explaining the differences in maximalist and minimalist black tie. This topic is intriguing is because day in and day out couples steer away from Black Tie because they're concerned it will be too stuffy or over the top when in actuality it can be the exact opposite.KRISTY'S WORK, LIKE HER PERSONALITY, is at times difficult to pin down. Are you constantly judging yourself for not having it together? It could be a little bit much and probably means that you're pulling yourself away from your zone of genius by all of that judgment. As a creative, you have the ability to conceptualize and manifest things that most people cannot. Often, creatives get a bad rep for being all over the place. Every single soul having a human experience is creative by nature. We are powerful creators. But there are not many loud and proud souls who decide to venture onto the pathway of being creative professionally. Instead of allowing people to squelch your authenticity, accept it, own it, flaunt it, and work with your true style to allow your creativity to flourish. In this week's episode, we're joined by Kristy Rice. Kristy is a painter and a creative artist. She has been featured in People Magazine and on Good Morning America. Kristy was able to stand in her sporadic spontaneous authenticity while at the same time being a wild child. She has a luxury stationery business and a passive income that she sells on Amazon. If you're looking for pointers on how to marry your authenticity with some cold, hard cash, then this episode will illuminate you. In this episode, you'll learn: How to feel proud about being creative. How you can stand firm in your creativity. How to make money with your creativity. Allowing space for spontaneity. Achieving your own version of success. Being more creative and owning your own space. Here's a peek inside the episode: [6:34] Kristy Rice's journey in business. [7:19] Burnout tools and techniques. [7:40] Accept and acknowledge what works for you. [10:15] Give yourself the freedom to be not so rigid. [11:21] Three pro tips to both upscale and enjoy your business. Most people with anxiety would cringe at the idea of getting up on stage and telling jokes to hundreds of people. But for actor and standup comic Gianmarco Soresi, who has dealt with anxiety since childhood, standup is a refuge. “One thing I think is nice about comedy is like, I can use that anxiety and live on that anxiety on stage and it can be funny. I can make the anxiety funny and I don't have to hide it.” – Gianmarco (41:43) In today's episode, Giancarlo shares how he found comedy, using his sometimes dysfunctional family as inspiration for material, his experience with therapy and antidepressants, living up to traditional expectations of masculinity, and how he handles anxiety today. “That's why I think standup, like, let me be myself more. And I still feel anxiety about standup. Sometimes, sometimes I feel chill. Sometimes I'm filled with anxiety and I still work on it. I still work on enjoying the anxiety or just being like, Hey, you're anxious cuz this is cool. This is crazy.” – Gianmarco (42:33) In This Episode (02:01) Acting vs standup, and Gianmarco's background as a comic (05:45) The impact of COVID on standup (11:41) Gianmarco's family as inspiration for comedy material (22:03) Standup as therapy (35:05) The pressure to choose sports over performing in high school (39:54) How being Jewish has influenced Gianmarco's comedy (41:10) Making anxiety funny (43:02) Gianmarco's experience with therapy (49:19) “The side effects of depression are death.” (51:02) The dynamic of being a child in a joint-custody arrangement (59:03) Gianmarco's comedy writing process, and the changing model of TV viewing Our Guest Gianmarco Soresi is a standup comic, actor and writer who has been featured on Netflix's Bonding, PBS' Stories from the Stage, SeeSo's New York's Funniest, Real Housewives of New York, New York LIVE, Vanity Fair, and George Takei Presents. GOOD MORNING - NEW YORK [LIVE AUDIO] by Coppershot Music
singer, song writer and producer. Music has helped me through the journey of life and has been an outlet for me, allowing me to express myself. I have known from a very young age that music was not only just something I listened to, but it is a way of life. It doesn't matter what situation I am going through; music has helped me get through it all. My last 2 songs were written, produced and sang in the back of an RV, determination allowing me to push through. I have been played on the radio in several places such as, KFMA Tucson Arizona, KISS FM Arkansas, Jamshphere Radio, New York Live and The Fierce Female Network. These stations were both FM and Internet stations.
