A dodgy internet connection stopped Neil Warnock from watching all of England's emphatic World Cup win against Iran, but he was delighted with the bits he did see and hear. On the latest episode of Die For Three Points, Neil and David Prutton ponder what impact playing in the Championship has had on the development of Jude Bellingham, a player who Neil faced as manager of Cardiff when England's newest superstar was playing for Birmingham City team as a 16-year-old. Neil and Prutts also discuss some of the big talking points from Qatar, including the increase in added time being played at the end of each half and how head injuries like the one the Iran goalkeeper suffered against England should be handled. Our next guest on the Official AFC Bournemouth Podcast is none other than Kieffer Moore, a man who only joined the club in January, but has had an unbelievable impact in fewer than ten club appearances. Not only did his strike against Nottingham Forest send us to the top flight, the forward has gone on to score on his Premier League debut just two days before his 30th birthday, making it four goals in six games for the Cherries. Since then, he's faced the likes of Ruben Dias and Joao Cancelo, but still cites National League veteran Steve McNulty as his toughest opponent, as Moore spoke at length through the highs and lows of his career to date. The journey so far has seen him make four-hour round trips just to train, work in sweet shops to help pay his way and suffer a fractured skull shortly after breaking into the Football League. It's a podcast that you don't want to miss and one which promises plenty of laughs throughout.
At the weekend, Cherries kicked off their return to the Premier League with a convincing 2-0 win over Aston Villa. The game saw Bournemouth play a tactical blinder over a Villa side that looked less than comfortable at defending a set-piece. With the home side's defensive prowess also showing its mettle, Scott Parker has seemingly pulled a rabbit from a hat again with a showing which provides hope for many a Boscombe fan. Kieffer Moore's inclusion though caused no end of problems for Villa, and with impressive games from Mepham, Tavernier, and Pearson too - Scott has overseen a result which gives Bournemouth fans a much needed boost after was was a shoddy pre-season! Sam, Tom, Tigz and Jeff chat over the weekend's action! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms. AFC Bournemouth fans of all ages came on the microphone after the post-match celebrations at Dean Court to react to our 1-0 win over Millwall, a victory which ensured we finished just two points off Fulham, yet EIGHT points ahead of Nottingham Forest. Once again, Kieffer Moore was the goal-scoring hero, netting late on in the second half - thus maintaining one of the best goals-to-minutes ratio remained high! Jubilant Cherries fans reacted at full time on the pitch, as Bournemouth defeat Nottingham Forest 1-0 thanks to a Kieffer Moore strike late on in the second half, securing promotion back to the Premier League! Also, Mark McAdam from Sky Sports News is with Tom Jordan and gives his reaction from outside Dean Court as he basks in the glory of watching AFC Bournemouth return to the Premier League, saying: "It brings back memories of 2015 and everything the football club has achieved in the last few year, as well as what they have been through and what they have done". Plus, to finish, Sam and Tom are outside Dean Court on the day after the night before to review the tense, tearful but terrific victory against the Tricky Trees, as AFC Bournemouth secured promoted to the Premier League thanks to a well worked free-kick late in the game. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms. What a week! Relieved Cherries fans reacted at full time as Bournemouth leave it late to secure a point against Swansea City thanks to two goals from Kieffer Moore and another successful spot kick from Dom Solanke. Plus, the views from this weekend as Bournemouth registered a convincing win over Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park thanks to a Phil Billing brace and another Dom Solanke strike. With Nottingham Forest brushing aside Swanseas 5-1 at the City Ground, the results help to set up a mouthwatering clash against the Tricky Trees on Tuesday! Bring it on! Cardiff City legend Nathan Blake and Dan Tyte dig into all the latest Bluebirds' news with a side helping of nostalgia. With the unbeaten run ending, the boys discuss whether Mick's men will make the play-offs and how Kieffer Moore can get his mojo back in time for a meeting with our enemies down the M4. Expect talk of Nath's south Wales derby memories, 90s' flat tops and how being too pumped up for a derby can get you sent off at Old Trafford. Dan brings some northern soul to the top 5 and Nath brings a selection of tunes for last week's guest Trevor Sinclair.
