Send us a textFor this episode of Brewstilled, it's a recap of Week 18, the final week for the 2024 NFL Season in the House of the Lombardi. For what has been a rather surreal season, the playoffs are the next chapter as 5 House of the Lombardi teams will advance to the playoffs. In Week 18, The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Cleveland Browns in where the Ravens secured the AFC North Division. Tampa Bay also won the NFC South after a scary game to the Saints. As for Atlanta they played their last game of the season in their loss to the Panthers. Yet for a silver lining, the Falcons appear to have their next franchise Quarterback with Michale Penix Jr. The Jaguars lost to the Colts and later fired their head coach Doug Pederson. The Cowboys lost to the Washington Commanders in their last game of the season. For the Cowboys next story, that will be the future of their head coach Mike McCarthy. Will Mike McCarthy come back to coach the Cowboys in 2025? The Rams beat the Seahawks as the Rams will also advance to the playoffs. The Jet's lost to the Dolphins in what might have been Aaron Rodgers last game in the NFL. The Chargers won against the Raiders while the Chargers will go to the playoffs. For the Raiders, their next question is the status of their head coach Antonio Pierce. Also, what role will Tom Brady play in the Raiders offseason? The Detroit Lions also secured the NFC North in their win against the Vikings. Now the playoffs loom. I'll be discussing this and more here on the Brewstilled Podcast with a no alcohol West Coast IPA from Surreal Brewing. It's all here on Brewstilled!

The Steelers traveled to our nation's capital and pulled out a one point win over the Washington Commanders, thanks to two new key additions to the team at the trade deadline. Now the Steelers travel home to prepare for their AFC North Division matchup as the much hated Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson come to town. Join your hosts Jeremy Kohlman and Korey Karbowsky as we review the Commanders game, focus on some key matchups against the Ravens, examine some other highly anticipated games around the league in Week 11 and ultimately make a prediction on who will win the 1st installment of the long and heated rivalry against Baltimore.
-Bob sets the stage with the upcoming Pittsburgh sports games and what is coming up on the show. Steelers Trade Deadline, AFC North Division. Mike Tomlin is 25-6 against rookie QBs. Bob thinks after the TNF game, that the Steelers are in a good position since both the Ravens and Bengals have bad defenses. Bob talks about how the refs have been in these games. The Pens won 4-2, but Bob thought it was sloppy. When does Jarry get back up here? Bob takes the Steelers this week. Bob starts taking the calls. One caller thinks Jayden Daniels is too confident and that no AFC North team will score 30 pts on the Steeler defense. The caller also thinks the Steelers are going to the AFC Championship game. - Bob talks Pitt vs Virginia and how the ACC is shaping up. Bob gives the matchups around the ACC. While Paul Skenes is here, Pirates have to spend money to put a better team around him. They have to be aggressive. Bob finds the Pens season so far “disappointing”. Jarry is putting on a show down in the minors, but he has to perform like this in the NHL. He and the Pens have to figure it out. Bob still believes if they get into the playoffs, the experience they have could be a problem for a team. Bob says Erik Karlson needs to be better. - Bob is feeling good about the Steelers remaining schedule. Bob reads some tweets. What are your expectations for Penn State and James Franklin? A caller talks about Jarry.
Send us a textThe Baltimore Ravens 5 game win streak came to a screeching halt by the hand of an AFC North Division rival, the Cleveland Browns. There's many to blame for this loss: the offense dropped passes, the defense dropped INTs, Justin Tucker missed a field goal. At the end of the day, they are a team and this was for sure a TEAM loss. With that being said, the Ravens are 9.5 point favorites against the Broncos (sounds familiar? so were they last week against the Browns) and they will have a test against one of the league's top pass defenses. Can the Ravens' secondary improve? How will the addition of Diontae Johnson help make the Ravens' offense more dangerous? All this and more on another edition of the Purple Pride Power Hour Podcast. The Baltimore Ravens lose to the Las Vegas Raiders in their home opener of the 2024 campaign. While the Ravens had their moments, the game fell through their fingers as they let a 10-point lead evaporate in the defeat. CINCINNATI -- The 2024 Bengals 17-game schedule is out and it features five primetime games and three others in a national TV window. Trags and FOX19 Sports Director Joe Danneman discuss the ins and outs of the schedule and why it's reasonable to expect the Bengals to do well out of the chute in 2024. Two of the Bengals' primetime contests will be played under the lights at Paycor Stadium, beginning with a Monday Night Football matchup against the Washington Commanders on Sept. 23 (8:15 p.m. on ABC). Cincinnati's other home primetime game features the “Battle of Ohio,” as the Bengals will host the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football on Dec. 19 (8:15 p.m. on Prime Video). The game against the Browns will be the Bengals' second appearance on Thursday Night Football, and their second such matchup against an AFC North Division rival. Cincinnati also will travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens on Thursday, Nov. 7 (8:15 p.m. on Prime Video). This marks the first time in team history that the Bengals are scheduled to play on Thursday Night Football twice in the same season. The Bengals will kick off the regular season at home against the New England Patriots on Sunday, Sept. 8 (1 p.m. on CBS), and close out their schedule with a road clash against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18 (date/time TBD). Preseason opponents also have been finalized. Cincinnati will open the preseason at home against Tampa Bay on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 7 p.m., then travel to Chicago to face the Bears on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 1 p.m. Each of the first two preseason games will be broadcast on the Bengals Preseason TV Network. Cincinnati will return to Paycor Stadium to host the Indianapolis Colts in a nationally televised preseason finale on Thursday, Aug. 22 (8 p.m. on Prime Video). Learn more about your ad choices. Cleveland Browns owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam, Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb and Berea Mayor Cyril Kleem, Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne and others are due to make one or more big announcements starting next week that will include the lakefront football stadium, the Browns' Berea campus, mixed-use developments around both plus a relocated Shoreway. The announcements will be about changes intended to activate the downtown lakefront by the end of this decade in ways it hasn't been since the 1930s and to create a year-round fan-friendly village around the team's suburban headquarters and practice facility, according to two sources familiar with the developments. There are still many unknowns at this early stage. But between now and when the venue formerly known as FirstEnergy Stadium (reverting back to Cleveland Browns Stadium) is rebuilt, many of the team's and Haslam Sports Group office staff will be temporarily relocated from their Berea headquarters to makeshift offices at the stadium and to remote working.During the renovation of the CrossCountry Mortgage Campus, the Browns offseason training programs may have to be relocated for up to one year. Expansion of the campus will take longer — more than one year and may be carried out in phases depending on financing and city approvals. The expanded campus will reportedly include a new hotel, restaurants, shops, conference facilities. The Haslams and the city have already acquired more than 30 acres of land and demolished many homes and a church for this massive expansion of the Browns' Berea facilities. It isn't publicly known yet where the Browns will play, but Columbus is a likely location. The Haslams already have a presence there with their Columbus Crew Major League Soccer club. Its venue, the two-year-old, soccer-specific Lower.com Field, seats only 20,371. When the Browns played their first Orange & Brown Scrimmage on Aug. 7, 2015, they played to 49,734 fans at the Ohio State University's 102,734-seat Ohio Stadium (aka The Horseshoe). It was the highest attendance for any Browns open practice or Family Day since at least 2005. The Browns would like to regain their fan dominance in Ohio's capital city, taking attention away from their AFC North Division rivals Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers.Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. But between now and when the venue formerly known as FirstEnergy Stadium (reverting back to Cleveland Browns Stadium) is rebuilt, many of the team's and Haslam Sports Group office staff will be temporarily relocated from their Berea headquarters to makeshift offices at the stadium and to remote working. During the renovation of the CrossCountry Mortgage Campus, the Browns offseason training programs may have to be relocated for up to one year. Find Out Deshaun Watson's PFF Grades Following The Browns Big win vs. Ravens! The Locked On Browns Podcast Is joined by John Kosko of Pro Football Focus. He gives the top grades and his reaction to the Cleveland Browns 13-3 Win over AFC North Division rival Baltimore Ravens.Watson threw a touchdown pass in his home debut for Cleveland, leading the Browns to an ugly 13-3 win on Saturday over the Baltimore Ravens, who need injured star quarterback Lamar Jackson to get back quickly. In his third game after serving an 11-game NFL suspension for alleged sexual misconduct, Watson wasn't spectacular. But he did enough to help the Browns (6-8) keep their miniscule playoff hopes alive while knocking the Ravens (9-5) off stride. Baltimore had won six of seven. But the loss knocked the Ravens out of first in the AFC North, dropping them a half-game back of Cincinnati pending the Bengals' game at Tampa Bay on Sunday. Before he left the field, Watson let all his emotions pour out. “It was a lot," Watson said, explaining his feelings at the conclusion. "Just to be able to get my first victory in my first home start, just to get a victory against a tough divisional team. Last week we wanted that one, and it didn't go our way. “It was me just soaking in the moment and releasing all the energy and the happiness I had in myself. I just wanted yell that and scream that out. I feel like everyone needs that every once in a while.”Watson, who connected with Donovan Peoples-Jones on a 3-yard TD pass in the third quarter, left FirstEnergy Stadium with a game ball tucked under his right arm. Watson finished 18 of 28 for 161 yards, and added 22 on the ground. He's still not close to playing like a three-time Pro Bowler or franchise QB, but there's no doubt he's getting better every time. “He's trending upward, which we knew he would do,” said Browns star Myles Garrett, w ho had 1 1/2 sacks. “He's a baller.”Browns rookie Cade York made two field goals — and missed two tries — but outkicked Ravens All-Pro Justin Tucker, the league's most accurate kicker, who missed a 48-yarder and had another attempt blocked by Cleveland defensive tackle Jordan Elliott. Jackson missed his second straight game with a knee injury, and the Ravens aren't the same without his dynamic playmaking ability.Tyler Huntley, who was only cleared from concussion protocol a few days ago, started again for Jackson but couldn't get Baltimore going. Huntley went 17 of 30 for 138 yards, but threw a critical interception inside Cleveland's 10 in the third. Baltimore's J.K. Dobbins ran for 125 yards, and the Ravens rolled up 198 yards rushing. But forced to throw while playing from behind in the fourth, Huntley couldn't come up with a big play. “We have to just have a better passing game, basically,” coach John Harbaugh said with Huntley sitting nearby. "It's not a good enough passing game right now across the board to do the things that we're hoping to do. So, that will be priority one. "Every area can get better at something in certain things, but from an offensive standpoint, that's something that we have to go to work on, and we will.” After Denzel Ward intercepted Huntley, Watson directed a 91-yard scoring drive, delivering his TD strike to Peoples-Jones with 2:10 left in the third.
