We criticize the lack of preparation by sports broadcasters, and compare past incidents like the 2013 Super Bowl blackout. This then leads into the debate on the current state of NFL commentators as a whole. Who do we like? Who do we not like? What is the impact of star commentators like Tony Romo and Tom Brady? We finish our football talk discussing the insertion of ads into the NFL Red Zone.We highlight IMBDs list of their 250 user rated shows. Specifically, we compare this list to shows that have never won an Emmy. Which shows from the list never won the coveted award? We then get into the discussion of businesses ( namely subscription services) offering better deals to new customers/subscribers than current customers/subscribers? Is this right? What do businesses operate this way?THEN: BRITISH CORNER: Rhea reviews season 2 of ‘The Marlow Murder Club' on PBS. Having previously reviewed season 1, what made her come back for season 2? How does Rhea feel this season compares to the last?Angelo and Jay finish the show by giving their thoughts on the season finale of ‘Dexter Resurrection', 'The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox' (both on Hulu) and the book ‘All About Me!: My Remarkable Life in Show Business' showcasing behind the scenes stories and thoughts about the career of Mel Brooks.LISTEN NOW to stay up to date on all you need to know regarding the latest and greatest in television and the big screens.MAKE SURE TO VISIT OUR SPONSOR: Steven Singer Jewelers! The TV Show is a weekly podcast hosted by Jay Black, with regular guests Angelo Cataldi and Rhea Hughes. With the new season underway, the NFL is leaving no screen untouched. Data privacy wars are heating up as tech giants face mounting legal and social consequences for their actions. In this eye-opening episode, we dissect Google's staggering $425 million privacy lawsuit settlement after the company was caught collecting user data even when people explicitly opted out of tracking. The verdict raises crucial questions about what "privacy choices" actually mean in today's digital landscape. The billionaire bubble gets punctured as we explore Mark Zuckerberg's neighborhood troubles in Silicon Valley. After purchasing 11 properties for a massive $110 million compound, Zuckerberg's construction projects have neighbors up in arms over noise, privacy invasions, and security guards harassing residents on public sidewalks. His solution to noise complaints? Sending neighbors noise-canceling headphones rather than addressing the actual problem – a perfect metaphor for how tech billionaires approach community relations.Disney joins the privacy violation club with a $10 million settlement for improperly labeling children's videos on YouTube, allowing collection of kids' personal information without parental consent. Despite YouTube manually correcting hundreds of Disney videos and alerting the entertainment giant to the problem, the company continued the practice – demonstrating how even child-focused businesses prioritize data collection over privacy protections. Our Gadgets and Gear segment takes an educational turn as we analyze a suspicious Kickstarter dash cam project, identifying red flags like stock footage videos, unrealistically low funding goals, and high backer cancellation rates. This practical lesson helps listeners avoid potential crowdfunding scams while still supporting legitimate innovations. We wrap with a passionate discussion about the commercialization of supposedly "ad-free" premium services like NFL Red Zone, examining how streaming platforms initially hook subscribers with commercial-free promises before gradually introducing advertising. The conversation sparks important questions about value, transparency, and the limits of consumer patience in the subscription economy.Ready to stay ahead of mainstream tech news while enjoying insightful analysis with a dash of humor? It's the first Sunday of the NFL season, and pretty much like I do every Sunday, I'll have one of my TVs on the NFL Red Zone. But it may be the last time I do it. ESPN has entered into a partnership with the NFL to claim a stake in the NFL Network and its associated properties. And while the ink on the paperwork isn't even dry, ESPN has already announced they're going to be running ads during the Red Zone. I understand advertising pays the bills, but when ESPN already has 35 different channels, can't they keep this one the way it is? The NFL doesn't think this is a big deal, but it will soon find out... The Enough Said Crew is on fire. The 2025/2026 NFL season has started and is off to one of the most unusual starts we have ever seen. Just when you thought the whole Hawk Tuah thing was vanishing like a meme stock, Jalen Carter said hold my beer. Before the first play of the game, he was ejected for spitting on Dak. His presence was missed as the Eagles D had troubles stopping the Cowboys. But leave it to CeeDee Lamb (chop) to do help the Eagles defense. On this episode, we recap Eagles Cowboys and talk some Chiefs Chargers. We make pics for Niner Seahawks, Commanders Giants, Lions Packer, and Bills Ravens. Mike challenges the crew to a new game called Can You Relate. Just know that RIP is Dallas Cowboys. For parting shots, Mike goes old man Gran Torino about the NFL Redzone having commercials (they really are not that bad). Let's get it!!

But guess what? We don't care. It's about the principle of it all. RedZone should be ad-free. Period.
