Our guest today shares the true meaning and significance of authenticity for individuals in their professional and personal lives. Episode Introduction: Erika Gerdes shares her journey of “graduating” from Google to finding her true professional purpose in life. Today, Erika is an authenticity coach who helps several other individuals with the “Art of Undoing”. Episode Summary: Erika Gerdes brings us along for the happening journey of her life where she shares several personal details that shaped her into the person she is today. Jam-packed with value and full of fun (and emotional) anecdotes, this episode will have you hooked right from the beginning. Main Takeaways: Our jobs don’t hold us from doing what we want to, our mindset does. Once you’re honest about your identity, who you are, who you want to be, and what’s holding you back, you can then open yourself up to new meaningful experiences in life. It is natural for you to be faced with limiting beliefs that you thought you had put behind you. We need to learn to accept our fears without letting it impact our journey. Shift your actions from a place or reaction to a place of intention. Confidence comes from action. Our bodies always give us a sign when there’s something wrong with it. Most times we just unconsciously repeat the behaviors that we believed to be necessary for our survival during our identity-forming years. Any time that you try to find your happiness other than inside yourself, you’re looking in the wrong place. Erika’s step by step guide to step into your most authentic self: > Awareness - What is it that you’re not facing? > Ask - What is the story you’re telling yourself? > Accept - Give yourself space to process. > Act - From a place of intention. The three pillars of trust are Authenticity, Empathy & Logic. Fun Facts About Erika Gerdes: Erika’s favorite book is The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. A book that really fascinates Erika is Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid. This week, I’m talking about behavioral finance to help you understand how your psychology and biases influence your money decisions. Today, I’m talking about the secret sauce to making better decisions with your money... Awareness What ties all of these behavioral finance concepts together is awareness. Just having a basic understanding of how your biases, emotions, and past experiences influence how you see the world and how you make decisions goes a long way towards minimizing the negative impacts of those decisions on your money. When you are more aware of the emotional forces that are acting on you, it’s easier to stop and say “ah, I know what’s causing me to feel that way,” and hence, you’ll be less likely to get lulled into what could be a really bad emotional decision. If you’ve ever tried to change something about yourself, you see the positive impact that awareness brings to your decision-making. After I had my 2nd child, I was frustrated after my weight loss stalled after about 6 months, with still another 10+ pounds to lose. So I joined weight watchers, which meant tracking everything I ate and weighing myself regularly. It worked really well - I lost 5 lbs the first month on weight watchers, and I credit most of that success to an awareness of tracking everything I was putting into my body. This time around on my 3rd pregnancy, I tracked what I ate with weight watchers for most of my pregnancy, and while I wasn’t trying to lose weight, it did help me stay well within the healthy range for weight gain during this pregnancy, which is really nice, especially here at the end as I am already a week past my due date at this point. The same thing is true with your behavior when it comes to your money. So focus on those decisions you’re making every day, week, and month that impact your wallet and retirement, and take steps towards becoming more aware of the emotional and psychological forces that are at work in your decision-making. That’s it for today, thanks for listening. Tomorrow, we’re going to recap the week and I’m gonna give you a little taste of next week’s theme. We are discovering what we are, and what is the nature of Knowing or Consciousness? And what is the nature of Awareness? What is the nature of humanness or experience? or experiencing? Do I really want to realise that, that I truly am? Am I that deeply called? and am I that excited to be alive?! That this life is an excitement of profoundly realising what I am is eternity. And in this excitement I'm not, or doing my best, to not program in avoidance - of experience. I've played that game. I've played the game of moving to opposite dimensions - polarities. I've done very well at it, thanks. I look in my school book of life and I've made a really good job of avoiding everything there is possible to avoid. I've got really good marks. But now I'm going to drop all that. Because I want to realise deeply and simply the ability to realise I'm love. The ability to remain profoundly awake. The ability to master or love my mind, my self, my person as what I authentically am. My ability to be so full in the clarity of what I am, I stand alone in all my wonderful friendships. I stand sharing this amazing full aloneness. The discovery of what I am discovering in the beyond. In the up, in the down, in the out, in the in, in the centre, in the absence - of it all. For me, for even producing this, creating this I'm moved by my many faces, and my many places and my many forms. And all the levels of evolving intelligence for I am a diamond with multidimensional bright facets of love streaming regardless of how it might feel on a level apparently called humanness. I am the diamond. Shining brightly. I am able to know this diamond, or at least I am growing to know this diamond whatever level I am, on any level of this - let's just call it - this amazing system of universal humanness. Which I, as the source of it all, is evolving and developing. And I am so clear that I can disappear into identification with creation. I can not only just disappear into creation as a whole, I can disappear into a fragment of creation and call myself a creator - of that that I experience. I'll get so lost in it, that I may even experience creation as opposites. I may even develop opposition to these opposites. I mean what a job I've given myself, to get lost in that that I create. But here is the real news. It's quite devastating this news! No matter how lost I get in it. I am always beyond it. No matter how lost I get in the knowing - objective (the objects, the forms of life) or the subject (the me-ness the I-ness) - I might discover I am awareness as a traveler. I am traveling awareness - I have a rucksack of potentials. On my back. And the weight on my shoulders is pretty amazing. But i'm just going to dive right into this. Even lose my innocence. Even if I have to feel I am guilty. That's how serious I Am. Please keep your eye in your own knowing. I am realising what I am, who I am and how all this is in this full life. I want to enter it, discover it. Every nook, every cranny. Every feeling, every sensation, every word, every deed - every level of sexuality I want to discover What is that thing? Every level of it. Every level of brokenness I want to discover. I want to find out - do I actually change in brokenness? Or is brokenness just another expression of my infinity. And as infinite awareness one perception of brokenness on any level - personal, self - on any creative level sexual, mental, emotional -I want to enter and see: what is at the core of this? I want to discover if what I am is really painting this. And that it is my will that is being done. As the unspeakable presence and essence of it all. For something in me tells me this is real. Something in me says I am so much more than my small self experience.

Robert Riopel went from $150K in debt to financially free in 9 months. He shares his insights and journey on how he and his wife accomplished this and much more. Financial freedom means a lot more than what people think, and it’s also very much in reach for all of us. It just takes a bit of thinking, a bit of honesty, and working smart instead of working hard. The biggest mindset shift was why he and his wife spent money the way they did. Having awareness and understanding about your spending habits allows you to take control and really make some changes. There are three elements of change: Awareness (What exists?) Understanding (Why do you think what you think? Where did it come from? Reconditioning (Take the mindset and cellular shifts to look and think in a different way) Most people aren’t willing to take a look at their life and see honestly what they can do to move their life forward. The answers are usually right in front of us. Success does take work, but people don’t realise that they are going to work their butts off for less money anyway. Why not do it for more money? After taking the Millionaire Mind Intensive, they began systematising their Domino’s pizza franchise, which was not in the best location. Soon enough, several people wanted to buy it, and a deal of a lifetime came through as a result of them sticking to their integrity and knowing what they are worth. Remember that you are earning a living from 9-5p, but what you do from 5-9 you create our life. Set up passive incomes in the mornings. It takes systems and discipline. Another great avenue for success is having accountability partners who can support you on the journey. People are often afraid to ask for help, when in reality, vulnerability is strength. Success loves commitment, you must show up every week and also be grateful for what you do have. There is a difference between determination, devotion, dedication, and discipline. You need all of them for success. There will also be times when you want to give up. How do you move forward then? Say to yourself: “Look at what I’ve accomplished, can I take one more step?” Breath, say yes, and go. That’s how you get where you want to go. Don’t forget to take breaks. Most people don’t take the time to have a break. Our conditioning tells us: “You’re being lazy, you have no passion or drive” or whatever we watched or heard our parents say growing up. We become just like them or the exact opposite. Beliefs get formed where we grow up. We’re taught to work hard, hard, hard or you’re not working up to your full potential. When in reality, it’s all about what you can do in the moment right here, right now. Maybe it doesn’t live up to other people’s expectations but that’s their crap and not yours unless you take it on. Instead of being caught up in your own crap, observe your mindset .Why are you thinking what you think? What’s the next step forward? Become disassociated with the negative thoughts in your head. And trust that it all ties up together somehow. Another tip Robert gives is that the greatest gift anyone can give this world is to show up as you are. People will either appreciate you for it or not, both are great. We can only be who we are, and we must keep learning. Life is life, but at least enjoy the journey and always look for the lessons. Remind yourself to breath and just keep going. Facebook Robert Riopel Success Left a Clue Podcast
