Brian Moore Jr., the 2025 Lou Henson award winner joins this week's episode of ​⁠. Moore enters his final year of college basketball playing for Grand Canyon University. After winning the mid major player of the year, Moore heard from plenty of Power 5 schools before ultimately deciding to run it back at the mid major level. Moore went to Kingston high school where he finished as the 4th leading scorer in school history. From there he went on to play junior college basketball before getting his first look of Division 1 basketball at Murray State. Moore spent two years playing for the Racers averaging close to double digits in each year. The 2024-25 season was special for Moore as he was now playing for Norfolk State. Moore led NSU to a MEAC regular season and tournament championship. He was the only guard in the country to average over 18 points per game while shooting over 52% from the field. Coach Stan Jones shares his journey from growing up in Mississippi and walking onto the basketball team at Memphis [State] to becoming one of the most well respected assistant coaches in the country!He amassed an overall record of 353-91 including back-to-back state championships in 1993-94 and 1994-95. After his tremendous run as a high school coach he joined the college ranks at the University of Miami under Coach Leonard Hamilton and then moved onto the Washington Wizards coaching staff with Coach Hamilton.After the Washington Wizards parted ways with Coach Hamilton, Stan accepted an Assistant Coach position at Mississippi State under Coach Rick Stansbury. His lone season in Starkville, Coach Jones helped lead Mississippi State to the school's second SEC Tournament Championship.Coach Hamilton hired him to join his coaching staff at Florida State in 2002 and Coach Jones served as his Associate Head Coach until Hamilton retired at the conclusion of the 2024-25 season.Stan Jones is nationally recognized as one of the top assistants in the country and is widely respected by coaching peers. Jim Jones has over 50 years of baseball coaching experience at the youth, high school, college, semi-pro and international levels. He served as assistant coach at Stanford University before becoming head coach at the University of Wyoming and St. Mary's College (CA). Presently he is retired from teaching, is assistant golf coach at Oregon Tech and is PastPresident of International Sports Group, Inc. In 1991, Jim began his international experience by becoming coach in residence in Czechoslovakia as part of a joint IBA-MLBI program. Following that “Lone Ranger” assignment, he served with Bill Arce as MLBI's Co-coordinator of Game Development in Europe. His duties there allowed him to over-see the selection and evaluation of Envoy Coaches assigned to various European federations as well as overseeing many of MLBI's winter coaches' clinics. When his MLB duties took him further away from the baseball field and into the administration offices, Jim decided he wanted to return to activities that allowed him to work directly with European coaches and players. That desire allowed him to take a new path in international baseball. Since that return to the field, he has worked with baseball federations in the Czech Republic, France, Spain, Holland, Croatia and Portugal. He has served as an instructor, manager and assistant coach at all levels from Cadets through the Senior level of play. At the 2006 European Baseball Coaches Association's winter convention, Jim received EBCA's Achievement Award in recognition of his work in European Baseball since the early 1990's. He also has received MLB's Julio Puente Award for his outstanding work as an MLB Envoy Coach From 2005 to 2009, Coach Jones worked with the Spanish Baseball Federation working with coaches and players in clubs and camps - as well as serving as the pitching and catching coach from the Cadet, Junior and Senior National Teams. Following his work in Spain, Coach Jones worked 5 years with the French Baseball Academies in Toulouse, Rouen, Montpellier, Bretagne and Talence, helping them prepare for various up-coming international tournaments. During June 2010, while back in the USA, Jim served as head coach of the Armed Forces team, US9, during an exhibition tour in Western Wisconsin. An additional international opportunity arose in 1998 when he joined with Bill Arce and International Sports Group to take over the administration of the winter baseball and softball clinics. The demand for coaching clinics remains high in Europe and ISG is committed to fulfill that game development need with the help of outside sponsorship. Jim served as ISG's president until he chose to step back on his administrative duties. He remains as an active board member of this important organization. Jim has had the opportunity to work with players of all ages and coaches from many European countries and Canada as well as staging baseball camps in New Zealand. These experiences combine with his USA coaching to give him a strong background to help game development programs in those federations desiring outside assistance. Radio is a powerful example of why being different doesn't mean being wrong—and how society often struggles with that distinction. Based on a true story, the film follows the relationship between high school football coach Harold Jones (played by Ed Harris) and a young man with an intellectual disability, James Robert “Radio” Kennedy (played by Cuba Gooding Jr.). Initially an outcast in the community, Radio is taken under Coach Jones's wing, gradually becoming a beloved figure at the school. The film ultimately teaches that just because someone doesn't fit traditional expectations doesn't mean they're wrong or less than. True strength lies in compassion, and real leadership is about lifting others up rather than shutting them out. The last nine years of her career as an educator, she served as Director of Career and Technical Education (CTE) for the sixth largest school district in Texas. Meredith has guided dozens of Stantec clients through the engagement process on projects while simultaneously leading planning and specifications development for future academic spaces. With a rich background in CTE, Meredith can communicate with educators in a way that architects cannot; because she's been in their shoes, at the front of a classroom, managing both success factors and the student experience. She believes that learning environments shape a student's experience, even if just passively. It is inside schools that students develop beliefs about their ability to be successful.
