The decision about discipline for Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson decision is in, with former federal judge Sue L. Robinson issuing a six-game suspension. Robinson found that Watson committed sexual assault against multiple victims, but didn't go as far as issuing an indefinite suspension based on what she called the "nonviolent" nature of the conduct, the NFL's history of less severe penalties, and what she determined to be a lack of notice for departing from that precedent to issue a harsher penalty. 3News digital anchor Stephanie Haney and 3News sports analyst Ben Axelrod break down the news in a special edition of 3News Now and also talk about what comes next for Watson, including the potential appeal process. On a post-trade deadline special Chris Manning and Evan Dammarell are joined by WKYC's Ben Axelrod as they discuss the JaVale McGee trade, buying out Andre Drummond not trading Cedi Osman, and their favorite and least favorite moves from the deadline.Here are the bullet points: The Cleveland Cavaliers were able to get a second-round pick from the Los Angeles Lakers when they acquired JaVale McGee. They were then able to trade McGee to Denver for two additional second-round selections as well as young big man Isaiah Hartenstein. This trade was a huge win for Cleveland general manager Koby Altman. While it's disappointing the Cavaliers were unable to trade Andre Drummond, it was also the expectation due to his mammoth $28.7 million contract. It was a gamble on Cleveland's part to trade for him but when Jarrett Allen came to town Drummond's exit was inevitable. The Los Angeles Lakers are the favorite to sign Drummond once he clears waivers, and it makes the most sense for the next phase of his career. Cedi Osman had interest from the Golden State Warriors but when Golden State wanted a first-round selection on top of Osman for Kelly Oubre, the deal fell apart. Finally, the best moves of the deadline were Kyle Lowry staying with the Raptors, Victor Oladipo being traded to the Miami Heat, and Aaron Gordon going to the Denver Nuggets.
