All of those experiences shaped his own commitment to making family relationships his priority and he and his wife Alison, have done just that with their four boys. As all four sons were heavily involved in youth sports, Kirk shares the epiphany he had looking in the mirror as a sports dad, and how that changed his outlook and approach to the journey with his boys, and he passionately shares his insights into youth sports that every parent needs to hear. Hour 1 We don't normally get breaking news this early, but Ian Rapoport is saying that Aaron Glenn is meeting with the Jets today and they will not let him out of the building without a contract. Gio wanted somebody with head coaching experience. Boomer thinks Glenn will be a great head coach, but the Jets are in a whole different situation. How much of the Lions success is on Glenn? There's Dan Campbell, the offensive genius of Ben Johnson, and great drafts by the GM. Ben Johnson is going to the Bears, who are in the Lions division of course. Who will be a part of Glenn's coaching staff? Gio is not excited with the choice as he doesn't want another first time head coach here. Gio thinks if he was never on the Jets, he wouldn't even be considered. Boomer said maybe somebody with experience doesn't want to come to the Jets. Chris Spielman could be a GM candidate, and he has zero experience in that role as well. C-Lo is in for Jerry and here for his first update of the day and starts with Aaron Glenn on a podcast talking about an interaction with Bill Parcells. We heard the sounds of Ohio State beating Notre Dame for the National Championship. The Knicks beat the Hawks at MSG. In the final segment of the hour, Ben Johnson is going to the Bears and it looks like Aaron Glenn is coming to the Jets. Gio thought Johnson was going to the Raiders, but he really wants to work with Caleb Williams. Hour 2 We talked more about the Jets looking like they will agree to a deal with Aaron Glenn to become their next head coach. Gio doesn't like it because it's another coordinator with zero head coaching experience. We talked about Glenn's gameplan this past weekend against Jayden Daniels. It's looking like we're getting two fair weather games this weekend. C-Lo returns for an update, but first we talked about the Championship game in KC where Walker Hayes' ‘Fancy Like' was blasting through the stadium as the NFL Today was trying to broadcast. Aaron Glenn was on a podcast a few years ago and talked about relating to players. We wondered if Glenn would keep Aaron Rodgers at QB. Lance Newmark could be coming as GM as they worked together in Detroit before Lance went to Washington. We wondered who some famous people named Lance were. We heard the sounds of Ohio State beating Notre Dame in the National Championship. Kirk Herbstreit was emotional after the game. The Knicks beat the Hawks at MSG. In the final segment of the hour, our own Peter Schwartz has been hired as the GM of an arena football team playing at the Nassau Coliseum. The idea is to recruit local players. Peter will pick the coach. The coach will pick the players. Is this a full time job? Does he have an office? Hour 3 The Jets are expected to hire Aaron Glenn today, according to Ian Rapoport. Peter Schwartz has been named the GM of the Long Island arena league that is starting soon. The team doesn't have a name yet. We tried to come up with names for the Long Island team. We also talked about Italian Lizards on Long Island and how they got there. C-Lo returns for an update, but first we talked more about Peter Schwartz being the GM of the Long Island team in some new arena football league. The Jets are most likely signing Aaron Glenn after interviewing him today. Players are said to be excited at the prospect of Glann as head coach. Chris Simms, like Boomer, didn't like the throw from Lamar Jackson to Mark Andrews. Bill Belichick said the Ravens beat themselves. ‘You can't win til you can keep from losing' is what Tom Brady said (an old Belichick saying). In the final segment of the hour, Peter Schwartz joins us on the phone to talk about being the GM of the Long Island team of the new arena league. Hour 4 The Jets are interviewing Aaron Glenn and Lance Newmark and will most likely hire them as head coach and GM. Gio doesn't like the idea of these guys as they have not held these positions before. And for the Jets, that matters. The Jets need an alpha male like Rex Ryan or J ...
