Through his collaboration with Fanachu over several years he hosted almost four dozen Fino' Chamoru dikike' na podcast episodes of "Kuentos Guåhan" and also helped organize a dozen episodes in our series highlighting the roots of contemporary Chamoru musicians from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Siñot Kin developed a passion for music early on and first joined the group the Radiants in the 1960s. Despite some breaks, he would still be playing with them at the time of his passing decades later. For this episode of Fanachu he talked about his love of music in general, love of Chamoru music in particular and love of Chamoru language and culture and why we need to keep it alive for future generations. This was a Fino' Chamoru episode of Fanachu and first premiered on January 25, 2023 and was hosted by Michael Lujan Bevacqua. A Sacramento native, Dr. Maryal Concepcion (she/her) MD FAAFP is a Filipinx creator and connector. She is a mom to two young boys and married to a fellow rural family physician. She is the founder and host of the podcast, My DPC Story, and features direct care physicians. In September of 2021, she opened Big Trees, MD, the first Direct Primary Care in Arnold, a rural town of 4,000 in the Stanislaus National Forest, located in Northern California. Her clinic was created as a micro practice telemedicine and home visit model and, after overhead was met, she branched out into renting a brick-and-mortar space for her DPC. How open source has been critical for a strategic relationship Grist has with the French government, which has been important for increasing product development velocityGiving up ‘darlings' or features that they really want to develop but that they don't think would drive revenueThe difference Anais sees between running Grist and running non-open-source companies — one of the most interesting differences is that users often have a sense of ownership over the project that you just wouldn't see in a fully proprietary How open source true believers often work in large companies and control budgets, and should not be underestimated.
