This is a good episode, friends! I'm fired up. We start off the episode discussing how hard it is to make new friends in Los Angeles. I then dive into a deep discussion about insane celebrity culture, including Kristin Cavallari's recent podcast promoting psychotropic drugs/toad venom—and my very strong objection to it. We also have a conversation about the moral perils of Tish Cyrus allegedly "stealing" her daughter's boyfriend (whom she's now married to). Plus, we discuss how all celebrities are getting the same procedures. Lastly, we talk about Wendy Williams' new documentary and whether she's been exploited by her family. We also ask an existential question of whether people should stay in a relationship after they've been cheated on.For those that want to skip around, the minute breakdown is below:INTRO11:00 Kirstin Cavallari discussion30:00 Lindsay Hubbard continues her I-don't-care-but-I-care Carl Radke breakup tour34:00 Celebrities must stop getting veneers (clip from Abby via The Unplanned Podcast)40:00 Tish Cyrus is married to her daughter's ex-boyfriend51:00 Has Wendy Williams been exploited? Don't tell my heart, my achy, breaky (how do you spell breaky? is it brakey?) Something, something, Bill Ray Cyrus joke. Miley Cyrus was Hannah Montana the whole time. Cyrus the Great was the emperor of Persia before it was cool to be emperor of Persia (looking at you, Xerxes and Cyrus the not quite as great). He did some great stuff, like decreed an end to slavery on a cylinder. He ended the Babylonian Empire, and changed the world by physically assaulting the child of a noble seriously enough involve the authorities. "That's Grandpa Astyages to you, young man"
Stand up comic Dana Moon sits on the couch and answer like, a THOUSAND questions that Mike came up with right before she rang the doorbell. You'll find out all KINDS of interesting things like: her name, wether or not she like Bill Ray Cyrus, other things, cake. Stop reading this. You could be listening.
We all know Bill Ray Cyrus from hit monster hit "Achy Breaky Heart," and as the father of actress and pop star Miley Cyrus. Few might really know him as a person, and the heart that he has when it comes to helping our nation's troops. His 13th studio album "Change My Mind" was initially released nationwide last fall, but now he's partnered up with Buffets, Incorporated to offer that CD at an unbelievable price point. Proceeds from the project will help support the Armed Service YMCA for Operation Outdoors, a camp program that assists the children of military personnel during deployment. We had a chance to catch up with Billy Ray at the Ryans Buffet in Lebanon, Tennessee, to learn more.
