Renowned producer and host Bryan Wade, drawing from his personal journey marked by adversity, has dedicated himself to illuminating the intricate tapestry of American life, transcending racial and socioeconomic barriers. With over two decades of experience in radio, television, and documentary production, Wade's work has consistently aimed at providing an equitable portrayal of diverse experiences across the nation. His acclaimed television series, "Worlds Apart," which aired from 1997 to 2008, delved into the complexities of race in America, challenging prevailing social constructs and stereotypes. Following this success, Wade embarked on a documentary project initially focused on the National Civil War Museum, evolving into the expansive "Keystones Oral Histories," now broadcasted on WITF and PBS stations nationwide. Driven by a vision of fostering dialogue and understanding, Wade's documentary series, launched in 2017, sheds light on the often-overlooked contributions of marginalized communities throughout history. Complemented by K-12 curriculum materials, meticulously aligned with educational standards, the initiative aims to broaden students' perspectives and promote inclusivity in learning. In collaboration with Ruby Media, the forthcoming installment of "Keystones" will spotlight the pivotal role of diverse populations in the Underground Railroad network across south-central Pennsylvania. With a focus on the collaborative efforts of Quakers, white and Black abolitionists, and conductors, the documentary underscores the grassroots origins of the civil rights movement. To ensure historical accuracy, Wade has enlisted the expertise of regional historians, including George F. Nagle and Calobe Jackson Jr., among others, for in-depth research. In the face of challenges to comprehensive historical education, Wade's commitment to dismantling racial barriers and fostering unity remains steadfast. By encouraging viewers to recognize shared humanity beyond superficial divisions, he aspires to forge a more inclusive and harmonious society.Support WITF: https://www.witf.org/support/give-now/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

5 Key Takeaways: The Marketing Trends team sat down with some CEOs at the SiriusDecisions B2B Marketing Summit 2019, and have compiled the highlights on this episode. Our top 5 takeaways from these conversations: - The best content is that which you are uniquely positioned to create. "We challenge our brands to dig deep to figure out what is the one thing you can do that no one else can? If you go swimming in the sea of sameness, bad things will happen." - With a general transition toward subscriptions, focusing on new business is not as relevant anymore as the post-sale and customer journey expansion. - The goal of marketing is to facilitate value-creating transactions. - In order for an ABM strategy to succeed, it requires buy-in from the entire organization, not just parts of marketing and/or sales. - To handle escalations, be blatantly transparent and clear about how you're going to fix the problem. Bryan Wade, CEO at Sigstr, joins me on this episode.
Bryan Wade, CEO of Sigstr (sigstr.com), provides an overview of email marketing and outreach, and how his company is helping businesses maximize their marketing efforts and bring in new accounts. For over a decade email has been Wade's sandbox; he has a wealth of experience in the areas of email marketing, sales, and new business development. Wade was highly involved in the expansion and success of ExactTarget, the email marketing behemoth that was eventually acquired by Salesforce. At Salesforce, Wade served as the chief product officer of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Now, as the CEO of Sigstr, the Indianapolis-based email signature marketing platform, Wade seeks to continue his work in helping businesses and corporations get their message and vision out to their customer base, to expand into new markets, and never miss a single opportunity to market successfully. Sigstr's mission is to convert every employee email into a successful marketing campaign. And with Sigstr's dynamically targeted CTA banners, businesses can highlight their important events, promote their content, and align their brand with targeted audiences that get results. Sigstr's platform offers many options for businesses and companies seeking to expand their marketing outreach, penetrate new markets, grow their operations, and connect with value customers. For account-based marketing, Sigstr provides a home to view target accounts and get a better grasp of how your efforts are impacting account penetration and development. Sigstr allows users to create targeted promotions to drive accounts and guide them. For event marketing, Sigstr will ensure that you are always targeting the right audience for a particular event or gathering that is on your upcoming calendar. Sigstr will help you track attendees and make sure that your exclusive VIP list is on your preferred guest list. And for sales and content marketers, the Sigstr platform assists with sharing your premium marketing content through employee email signatures, achieving greater visibility with your highest regarded accounts, and tapping into new networks. As the most valued relationships exist right in employees' inboxes, Wade explains how the Sigstr platform can ramp up your marketing efforts with powerful products such as Sigstr Pulse and Sigstr Campaigns. Wade discusses the nuts and bolts of how their system works, from the initial gathering of data, which includes names, titles, phone numbers, etc., to the marketing aspect, where specific dynamic banners are created that sit below the signature to garner attention and generate responses. He breaks down the particulars of what their dynamic banners address, from call-to-actions such as invitations to events and webinars for new prospects on your email list to new product launch information, etc. for customers. Wade describes how Sigstr's platform is customizable and is processed centrally by Sigstr, allowing marketers to simply connect, while Sigstr does the work to update, change, or inject new information into outgoing emails. Wade outlines some of the exciting features Sigstr's platform can implement such as the use of animated gifs and click-through analytics. Through extensive research, Wade's team at Sigstr has sorted through massive amounts of useful data and testing to zero in on the most successful methods email marketers can implement, and incorporated it all into the Sigstr platform. One of their findings was that human faces or call-to-actions within the email received higher click responses than any other data or imagery. And as Sigstr is customizable and expandable, Wade states that their clients are able to run dozens of different campaigns concurrently, to put their metadata to work, and thus maximize outreach.

Sometimes it just seems right to get someone on the podcast. No they don't have to be known in the industry, or be internet famous, or have something to casually promote. They just bring some good old fashioned conversation to the table and a lot of laughs as well. This was the case with Niki, who after listening to the now infamous trilogy of Jeremy Greer, Bryan Wade and Charles Turner asked if she could be on and talk about her boardgaming. The episode you hear is only about 40% of what we talked about before we decided to actually record the show, which maybe explains the giggling at the beginning but not the rest of the nonsense that ensues. We spoke about a fair number of games, all of which are mentioned in some shape or form below. Niki was a delight to have on the show. In another Friends of the Show episode, we are joined by Bryan Wade, who is here to teach Richard all about the wonderful game of Magic the Gathering. Who is a great guest right up until the Last Minute. Then he is a big DISAPPOINTMENT. We touch briefly on the Adventure Time version of Love Letter. Then Bryan tells us about his go-to game Sheriff of Nottingham before we discuss the confusion often surrounding Netrunner before jumping head first into World of Magic the Gathering. We try to keep the jargon to the minimum so Richard doesn't get confused and we even ask the ultimate Magic Question - What Magic Card would Brad Pitt buy you if he wanted you to be his friend? At the end of it all, Richard might even be tempted to dive in and sample some Magic.. Please note that while we continue to mention Mr Jeremy Greer in a BAD LIGHT, understand that he is actually a very wonderful and amazing human being and me and Bryan think he is totally NOT THE WORST. Dark Insight 31 is here! Just for you! Yes, you there, with the headphones. Cliff is unable to join us this week, so we invited friend of the show Bryan Wade to join Jeremy and Vader this week. We talk about Destiny, Destiny 2, shitheads, Alone With You, Virginia, Darkest Dungeon, Earthlock, Spelunky, Rocket League, Slayer Shock, and probably at least 10 other things I’m forgetting. As always, your responses are at the end. Thanks so much for listening, folks, it means a lot. Noted sweetheart Bryan Wade backed the Souls of Darkness kickstarter and this was one of his incentives! Join Bryan, Gary, Brayton, [Jeremy Greer][1] and [Shane][2] from The Shortgame Podcast on this epic, goofy, very lightly edited quest.
Episode 10 is here! This week's guest is Bryan Wade, another friend from the Duckfeed.TV network. Bryan and I have known each other as "internet friends" for a few years now, and I think that comes out on this episode. We talk all sorts of Souls games, as well as a handful of other games as well. Also! There's a ~bonus~ section! Bryan was so inspired by DGUS episodes that he went back to Bloodborne and gave it another try. Listen past the closing music and credits to hear the special addendum we recorded. Enjoy!
In addition to being a singer-songwriter, Bryan Wade has created a practice to help musicians deal with anxiety called the Connected Musician or as Bryan explains: the intersection between music and mindfulness. Some musicians are at a loss for words between songs or judge themselves harshly at band rehearsals. Whatever the case, the CM is designed to allow musicians to fully enjoy their passion for music minus the tension and self-criticism. Even if you're not a musician you'll find plenty of transferable tips that will inspire more inner peace, along with discovering Bryan's personal journey of music, mindfulness and meditation. Of course, my hero Frank Zappa makes the cut plus his comrade-in-oddness Captain Beefheart. Also: Daryl Hall like you rarely hear; Tom Waits with his defenses down; past TMT guest Nate Wood; a Frank Ocean epic and new music from Michael Stasis. Over 70 minutes of left of center pop.
