She was the first ever spiritual teacher to make it to the televised Democratic Presidential Debates, and was the most Googled candidate after the second debates. Marianne initiated a global about face, as the intriguing freshness of her candidacy resulted in millions of people being exposed to a deeper, more spiritual and heart-centered approach to politics. In this episode, hear Ben share his unique understanding of the importance of Marianne's role in today's mainstream society, even going so far as to refer to Marianne as an "avatar, synthesizing spirituality and politics." While Marianne did not accept this assertion, she says that "an avatar is someone who has gotten there 24/7, and I haven't gotten there 24/7." Ben replied, "I don't need you to get it right 24/7, I just need you to get it right when it matters. You get it right when it matters.”Receive inspiration from Marianne's sage wisdom; especially on claiming one's power and ushering in a new  political and spiritual era. Marianne Williamson is a bestselling author, political activist and spiritual thought leader. For over three decades Marianne has been a leader in spiritual and religiously progressive circles. On June 26th and 27th, the first Democratic Presidential debates were held in Miami, Florida. The debates gave basic income-focused Andrew Yang a national platform, and several other candidates pushed ideas such as a carbon dividend or expansion of the Earned Income Tax Credit that would put more cash in people's hands. Owen and Jim discuss the debates and how the politics of the moment is shaping these conversations.

Today is Primary Day in New Hampshire, so it's time we talk about politics. First, Zac and Chelsea spend a little time talking about why politics and creativity make such an awkward creative fit for overly self-aware 28-year-olds. Later, Zac and Dan journey to ABC's Democratic Presidential Debate, where Zac talks to protestors, supporters, and reticent campaign staffers. Then, Zac, Dan, and Ian witness the icy wonders of the media filing room, and throw themselves into the Spin Room with the energy of a Martin O'Malley supporter. Today's episode features the voices of Zac Little, Chelsea Fisher, Dan Freund, Ian Servin, many protestors and rally-goers, Hillary Clinton, Martin O'Malley, David Muir, Bernie Sanders, George Stephanopoulos, several campaign surrogates for the now-defunct Martin O'Malley campaign, Robby Mook, Barney Frank, Jeanne Shaheen, and Steven DiSalvo, president of St. Anselm college.  I think that's all. It also features music from The Mild Revolution--whose "7 For 7" series is currently underway. Seven free songs over seven days! Follow them on Twitter @mildrevolution
