Olajuwon Ajanaku, the Founder of Eastside Golf grew up in East Atlanta. He gained a golf scholarship to Morehouse College and won a National Championship alongside his co-founder, Earl Cooper. After graduating with a degree in accounting, he worked in Commercial Finance for many years. Olajuwon left the corporate world to fully embark on entrepreneurship that would support his own dream of turning pro in golf. As a result, Eastside Golf was formed. Earl Cooper is a PGA Professional and is currently ranked as one of the best young teachers in America by Golf Digest. He has worked as the first African American golf professional at Detroit Golf Club and Wilmington Country Club. He graduated from Morehouse College where him and Olajuwon played on the golf team and won a National Championship.   Olajuwon and Earl had a number of amazing insights during our conversation. In episode 76, Fuzzy and Quincy talk to Olajuwon Ajanaku and Earl Cooper, the founders of Eastside Golf. After winning a national championship at Morehouse College, Olajuwon Ajanaku set his sights on a professional golf career. Despite some early success, he found himself struggling to meet the financial demands of chasing the dream. Instead of seeking sponsorship, he went a different way: He created a logo of himself, slapped it on a Gildan, and started pushing it around downtown Detroit. Two years later, after joining forces with his college teammate Earl Cooper, Eastside Golf is pushing the boundaries of what a golf brand can be, and recently became the first brand to collaborate with Jordan on a signature golf shoe. Olajuwon Ajanaku and his partner Earl Cooper are reshaping the face and culture of golf. The two friends met at Morehouse College, and they both were on the golf team that won the Division 2 National Championship in 2010.  After they graduated and started careers in separate paths, the love of the game called them back. Olajuwon started a golf apparel brand called Eastside Golf. The company was the first to combine streetwear with traditional golf attire.  The brand made history a few weeks ago by becoming the first golf brand to collaborate with Michael Jordan and the Jumpman Brand.
