While host Kyle is out of town, we're thrilled to welcome Gretchen and Elaine from "The Happy Pace Podcast" out of St. Louis as our guest hosts! These incredible women have mastered something that frankly boggles our minds – they record their entire podcast while actually running. That's a level of multitasking that would have Kyle gasping for air and forgetting his own name by mile two. In this episode, Gretchen and Elaine are joined by Eric Strand, a fellow runner who just conquered Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota. Eric brings his post-marathon wisdom and stories from the North Shore, and you can check out more of his running adventures on his YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/fV5WXgMovDA?si=EZvmWq_Vy4qAE8_6.Unfortunately, our St. Louis friends have been dealing with more than just training miles lately. Recent tornado activity has devastated parts of their beloved running routes, including the park where The Happy Pace Podcast typically records their on-the-run episodes. Despite these challenges, Gretchen and Elaine continue to embody the resilience and positive spirit that makes the running community so special. How You Can Help St. Louis Recovery Efforts: The tornado damage has impacted not just running trails, but entire communities. AuAg Funds founder, president, and portfolio manager Eric Strand talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the factors influencing gold and silver prices in 2025. He explained how ongoing global tariffs, geopolitical tensions, and central bank demand are shaping the market. Strand noted, “Tariffs only make gold stronger,” while also predicting gold prices could hit $3,300 by 2025, reflecting a 26% annual return. Strand discussed how miners are benefiting from stable gold prices and reduced energy costs, which are expanding their margins. He highlighted that income for miners, priced in US dollars, remains high, while many operational costs are tied to local currencies, creating favourable conditions. Regarding silver, he remarked, “Silver had a strong 2024, and we expect another robust performance in 2025.” He also noted that central banks and Asian buyers are driving significant demand for gold, setting the stage for a continuing bull market. With geopolitical uncertainties and fluctuating currency values in play, Strand shared that AuAg Funds has positioned its portfolio to capitalise on these trends. AuAg Funds CEO Eric Strand discusses the current trends in the gold and silver markets with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion. Strand highlighted how recent market turmoil, such as the Yen carry trade unwinding and shifts in US employment numbers, have impacted precious metals. He emphasised the stability of gold despite minor downturns and predicted a strong momentum for gold as US interest rates are expected to lower. Strand also highlighted significant buying activity from Asian markets, particularly China and India, alongside central banks' record purchases. He noted that the highest first half-year ever for central bank gold buying could signal another record year in 2024. Regarding silver, Strand pointed out its strong performance, driven by industrial demand and usage in solar power, despite recent volatility. Strand shared insights on the performance of AuAg Funds' ETFs, stating that the silver mining ETF has outperformed both the gold mining ETF and the commodity itself. He attributed this success to stable precious metal prices and lower mining costs, which are expected to result in better margins and returns for mining stocks. "Silver will catch up really fast when the market stabilises," said Strand. AuAg Funds CEO and founder Eric Strand discussed the positive performance and outlook for gold and silver in an interview with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion. Strand noted that gold prices are nearing the target range of $2475 to $2500, driven by substantial central bank purchases, especially by China, which is increasing its gold reserves while reducing US Treasury holdings. Other contributing factors include the US Federal Reserve's easing of monetary policies and significant deficit spending. Silver has also performed well, with the gold-to-silver ratio improving from 87:1 to 70:1, aligning with AuAg's forecasts. Strand highlighted silver's dual role as both a monetary and industrial metal, emphasising its superior conductivity and the looming possibility of a physical shortage. This dual demand and potential shortage could drive prices higher. Strand reported a strong performance for AuAg's Silver Bullet fund, driven by the rising silver prices and the scarcity of primary silver miners. The fund has seen significant gains since early spring, despite a challenging start to the year. Although there may be short-term fluctuations due to market conditions, Strand remains optimistic about the fund's prospects. #hanetf #AuAgFunds, #GoldMarket, #SilverMarket, #EricStrand, #CentralBankBuying, #ChinaGoldReserves, #USDeficit, #FederalReserve, #MonetaryPolicy, #SilverBullion, #GoldPriceTarget, #SilverBulletFund, #PreciousMetals, #InvestmentStrategies, #MarketOutlook, #PrimarySilverMiners, #IndustrialMetals, #GoldToSilverRatio, #PhysicalShortage, #CommodityPrices #ProactiveInvestors #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews
AuAg Funds founder and CEO Eric Strand discusses the current dynamics of the gold market, highlighting the metal's swift rise in value, exceeding expectations by reaching over $2,300, and maintaining a strong outlook for the year, with predictions of hitting around $2,475 to $2,500. In an interview with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion, Strand said this surge is attributed to a combination of factors, including the US interest rates and inflation landscape, backdoor quantitative easing by the Federal Reserve leading to an increased monetary base, and geopolitical tensions. Central banks worldwide, notably China, have been significant buyers of gold, contributing to its price elevation. Strand emphasized gold's historical safe-haven status, further reinforced by recent geopolitical developments and central banks' desire to increase their gold reserves as a hedge against potential future crises. Additionally, he noted the potential negative short-term impact of large retail positions in the US Commodity Exchange but maintained an overall positive outlook for gold's future pricing. Strand also pointed out that gold miners, which were undervalued, have begun to see significant returns, attributing this to stabilized costs and rising gold prices benefiting miners' profit margins. The discussion also covered uranium mining, highlighting it as a growing sector due to its role in green energy and the construction of new nuclear reactors. However, Strand cautioned about the binary risk associated with accidents in the uranium market. #AuAgFunds #EricStrand #GoldMarket #UraniumMining #InvestmentInsights #GoldPricePrediction #MonetaryPolicy #GeopoliticalTensions #SafeHavenAsset #CommodityInvesting #ProactiveInvestors ##invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews
AuAg Funds founder and CEO Eric Strand joins Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with the latest developments affecting the gold price and gold miners included in the AuAg ESG Gold Mining UCITS ETF. Strand said gold prices near all-time highs is very advantageous for gold miners, despite a historical lag in their response to gold price increases. The costs for miners have stabilized while gold prices are rising, promising improved profitability. Strand emphasizes the leverage effect in gold mining, where a 20% increase in gold price could result in a 40% gain for gold miners, attributing this to the net return difference between gold prices and operational costs. Furthermore, he highlighted gold miners as undervalued, both in relation to gold and historically against the S&P 500. The current market dynamics, with strong holdings and reduced retail investor presence, present a ripe opportunity for valuation adjustments. Strand also notes a trend towards shareholder-friendly practices among miners, including reduced debt and cautious project investments, potentially avoiding past mistakes. Consolidation activities within the sector are acknowledged, with a preference for acquiring known entities over costly exploration. The mid-sized companies are viewed as prime targets for larger firms, indicating a dynamic market. Lastly, Strand projects a 20% rise in gold prices for the year, targeting nearly $2,500 by year-end, driven by anticipated lower interest rates and the sustaining momentum above $2100, which fosters a positive outlook for continued investment in gold. #AuAgFunds #HANetf GoldMining #ESGInvesting #GoldPrices #MiningETF #InvestmentTrends #GoldLeverage #MarketConsolidation #GoldForecast #InvestorInsights #ProactiveInvestors #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

AuAg Funds founder and CEO Eric Strand speaks to Thomas Warner from Proactive London about the outlook for the gold price, following a period in which its status as a safe haven asset has been firmly underlined. Strand suggests that a softening of the US dollar will ultimately prove to be "rocket fuel" for the gold price, which has continued to find it difficult to burst through the long-established $2,000/oz ceiling despite geopolitical turmoil. He suggests that the US financial system is quickly approaching the point of being so debt-laden that real economic stresses begin to appear, in turn forcing the federal reserve to "pivot" and start cutting interest rates again. This in his view would prove highly supportive of the gold price and of gold mining companies, who with gold at $2,000/oz are already making very healthy margins. He also gives an overview of the latest developments at AuAg Funds itself, saying that its three daily-traded UCITS funds are trading well and that the AuAg ESG Gold Mining UCITS ETF (ESGO) is "becoming really big", surpassing US$60mln. #ProactiveInvestors #gold #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

That's the view of Eric Strand, founder and portfolio manager at AuAG Funds. While investors, looking for yield and incremental increases, are perennially disappointed in precious metals, in times of stress the arguments resurface in favour of gold and silver investing.Strand believes that both gold and silver are cheap. The current gold to silver ratio (the gold price divided by the silver price) is 82:1, and he says this should normally be 19:1. In a secular bull market in precious metals the ratio should move to at least 30:1, which would be represented by a relatively larger move up in silver.Strand says if gold does move up to $3,000, a level he says turns gold from being cheap to fairly priced, silver would climb to $100 an ounce making it the smarter choice of investment.Any opinion, news, research, analysis, or other information does not constitute investment or trading advice.

Eric and i talk about the whacky season we've had, a new type of calling contest, and a lot more. If you like learning about the PNW and all it has to offer. Eric's your guy. We tried to pick his brain as much as we could! Scouting, e-scouting, hide and what to do when the weather doesn't corporate is just a few things we talk about.

“A leader must lead, but also be ready to follow. They must be aggressive, but not overbearing. A leader must be calm, but not robotic. They must be confident, but never cocky. A leader must be brave, but not foolhardy. They must have a competitive spirit, but be a gracious loser.” - Jocko WillinkLeadership is a skill that takes time and effort to hone. As a leader, you must think about how each action and interaction defines you and builds your leadership reputation.I've had so many people ask me about what makes a great leader. I've been fortunate to work with, and learn from some amazing leaders throughout my life, but some of the best lessons I've learned have been from speaking to others. So I've chosen an all-star lineup of leaders that have contributed to this podcast to share the 5 pillars of leadership to guarantee results, as discussed on the Every Breath Counts Podcast. Minter Dial was the managing director at L'Oreal for over 10 years. We spoke about the importance of authenticity in leadership and how to cultivate an environment in which others can thrive. One of the most important aspects of leadership is not only finding the right people, but putting them in situations to succeed. If you want to learn more from Minter, you can check out Episode 18, The Importance of Authentic Leadership.Scott Olsen was a counter-intelligence agent in the FBI during the Cold Warand created the leadership development program for the FBI. Leadership is so important when the stakes are highest. Scott talks about not only how to develop leaders, but what traits to look for when searching for and hiring them. You might be surprised to hear that fascination is one of the most important traits. If you want to hear more about Scott's story and experience in the FBI, check out Episode 16, Become a Better Leader.Eric Strand is a ultramarathoner that has completed numerous races including the Leadville 100 and the Boston Marathon. He has taken the lessons he learned from 100+ mile races and applied them to his role as COO of Drury Hotels. In Episode 7, Leadership Lessons from UltramarathonsEric shares the importance of setting big goals and surrounding yourself with the best people you can find. While we don't talk about it in this clip, Eric exemplifies empathy as a leader. When covid hit, he wanted to raise money for the people in his company most affected. So he decided to run 245 straight miles across Missouri to raise money for frontline hospitality workers.“Hoorah!” The next leader to hear from is Marine and best-selling author David Richards. Marines are known for their leadership qualities and training, and David shares a great story about a platoon in Vietnam. The takeaways of this story are the importance of daily habits and how being dedicated to a process will yield the results you are looking for. He also speaks to the importance of maintaining morale in a stressful environment. Check out Episode 15, Purpose-Driven, to he
