Hello babes! This weekend I am introducing you to David Richards ~ a former Marine, an Author, a Yogi and an all around incredible guy! He tells a story of forgiveness this week that is so POWERFUL that it had my jaw dropping during the telling. He also talks about his Near Death Experience that happened when he was a kid, and the fact that the memories returned later in life, to affirm something that David already suspected (is there a human soul or what?) makes it even more profound of a story. To check out what David is doing in this world, click here! THANK YOU ALL FOR LISTENING AND FOR THE REVIEWS! THE HUSTLE IS REALLY, REALLY, REAL, AND EVERY REVIEW HELPS SO VERY MUCH! I appreciate all the love and attention you give the pod everyone, it warms my heart! Your bit of beauty is this: something regional from New Mexico! Recently, some friends sent me video of a celebration-one that happened because they had just finished cleaning their acequia, for the 307th year in a row!!!! and every year, there's a huge party afterwards with community and friends. You might not have heard that word, acequia, but in the high desert, they are needed lifelines...and centuries ago, were carved into the land to bring water to thirsty farmland and farms. It's a sacred tradition honoring the land, honoring the water, and honoring the ancestors. This here is just the trailer, but I encourage you to watch the whole film. It's a sweet reminder that sometimes humans can work in tandem with nature, and not against it.

Episode #197 of World Awakenings: The Fast Track to Enlightenment meets with an extraordinary man named David Richards, who's extraordinary personal journey embodies resilience, leadership, and deep spiritual transformation. From a near-death experience as a youngster, to being a Marine Corps officer, to being an executive coach. His path began with a profound test of faith during the pandemic, which led him to explore the depths of Christ-consciousness, the multiverse, and the vibrational essence of existence. What started as a spiritual awakening soon expanded into an exploration of quantum mechanics, string theory, and Kabbalah, ultimately reinforcing what Jesus taught about energy, vibration, and frequency. David is also the author of the books, “Whiskey & Yoga”, “The Light Housekeeper”, “Love Letter to the Virgin Mary: The Resurrection of Kind David” & “Becoming One with Christ: The Lessons of King David”. A major scandal is shaking up the FIA, and this could change Formula 1 forever. Climb the ladder with me on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvsMotorsport UK boss David Richards just launched an unprecedented legal challenge against FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, accusing him of undermining transparency and fairness in governance. This conflict erupted after Richards refused to sign a controversial confidentiality agreement, which he calls a restrictive "gagging order." With accusations of excessive fines, misuse of power, and suppression of criticism through the infamous "Appendix B," tensions have never been higher within Formula 1's governing body. What's truly shocking is Richards himself can't even challenge for the presidency due to a rule change introduced by Ben Sulayem, making his stand especially bold. Now, legal battles are underway not just in the UK but also in France, home of the FIA. Could this controversy trigger an unprecedented early election, reshaping the future of motorsport governance? This week we look at why it is so tricky to build a winning team in F1 and why success is never guaranteed. We go behind the scenes of Adrian Newey's big-money move to Aston Martin and ask what this means for the competitive picture in F1 over the next five years. And we hear from celebrated manager David Richards, who took BAR Honda to second place in the World Championship 20 years ago against Michael Schumacher's dominant Ferrari team. Joining James in the studio are Autosport F1 Editor Jon Noble and Chief Writer Ben Hunt, who were both at Aston Martin's swanky new HQ for the Newey announcement. There is no doubting Lawrence Stroll's bold vision, nor his willingness to back his instincts with hard cash to buy the world-class facilities and people Newey will work with. But success in F1 is never guaranteed. How will this change the competitive picture in F1 over the next five years? And what can David Richards' many years of success at the top of motorsport tell us about how winning teams are built? We've got something a little bit different for you on this episode. Earlier this year, to mark the 40th anniversary of Prodrive, Edd Straw paid a visit to its Banbury HQ to interview its co-founder and chairman David Richards. Many F1 fans will remember Richards through his time with the Benetton and BAR F1 teams, and may know that he's currently chairman of Motorsport UK. But he also came very close to bringing Prodrive - so successful in rallying, touring cars and sportscars - into F1 on two occasions. In fact, you could argue that Prodrive is the best team to never race in F1…We hope you enjoy Edd's wide-ranging chat with David Richards, who has many a tale to tell about F1 in the 2000s and 2010s. It's time to catch up with part two of the wide-ranging conversation on the future of ringing hosted by Cathy Booth at the recent Art Conference. Just like part one, the panel of Tina Stoecklin, Andrew Slade and Max Drinkwater don't hold back from tackling the tricky questions! What does the CCCBR do for ringers? How can associations work with Diocese to target bell funds in churches that have a future? How do we empower younger ringers into leadership role and evolve structures that meet the needs of today's ringers? And by younger we are of course talking under 50s!Although many of the issues raised may seem familiar, some of the solutions suggested may be surprising. Is it time for ringers to professionalise, be ‘seen' by the church community and show what skills and resources we can offer? Something to discuss later in the pub …Top five takeawaysIf you have received any complaints regarding bells under your care, and you need help and advice, email the Complaints Helpline at complaints@cccbr.org.ukEncourage younger ringers into leadership roles. Not only will it refresh your tower's perspective, but it will also enhance their CVs.How strategic is your area with your bell maintenance funds? If you're not already linked into the diocese then now's the time to get together to make sure investment choices are strategic.Has your Tower Captain got a role for life? Maybe it's time to consider succession planning ready to implement a fixed-term policy. If your association isn't already tackling these big issues why not think about your own role in standing up, showing leadership, and ensuring the future of ringing.Podcast team:Anne Tansley ThomasEmily Roderick John GwynneEmily WattsCathy BoothRinging by:The Cambridge Youths (supplied by David Richards) and for later episodes, The Liliputters Guild (supplied by Simon Edwards).

Who better to quiz about the future of ringing than the President of the CCCBR, the chair of the Association of Ringing Teachers, and an ordained ringer and co-author of a book about ringing and the church? Show host Cathy Booth puts this esteemed panel through its paces, posing some vital questions on what needs to happen to keep change ringing alive, and to recruit and retain young ringers. It turns out that most of the answers lie with young people themselves, and that the ringing community has a lot to learn from the way young ringers organise, communicate, and socialise. So, tune in for a free-ranging and thought-provoking discussion that might end up with you questioning some of the current values, beliefs, and rituals of ringing culture …Top five takeawaysMake the most of the relationship you have with your church – they may well have skills and expertise that can help with your recruitmentListen to the views of your young ringersDon't forget the role of parents in encouraging their children's hobbies. ‘Unique' is often overused as a word, but host Cathy Booth's guests on this wonderful episode, John, and Debbie, can certainly claim it for their ringing experience. That's because they ring at St Thomas's Church, Kilifi in Kenya which is one of the remotest rings of bells in the world, with the nearest bells hung for change ringing being at Harare in Zimbabwe over 1,000 miles away.Cathy learns about the fascinating history of the church and the bells, as well as hearing how John and Debbie became ringers, their learning experience, and their amazing ringing trips to the UK.Although much will be familiar to other ringers, such as the ringing room with its set of handbells, cabinet of ringing books and bottomless sweet tin, there are also some eye-opening challenges of ringing in a tower that is, well, unique! If you are beginning to take ringing a little bit for granted, this podcast will stop you in your tracks and possibly rekindle your romance.Top takeawaysRead all about the Kilifi ringers 2015 adventures in the UK The Whiting Society of Ringers - KilifiCheck out the bells on DOVE Tower details (cccbr.org.uk)Struggling to ring or explain plain hunt to a learner? As an artist, David Richards has his bases covered. Musically, he writes, records, and releases his songs under the name of Loch Mhor (that's Scottish for great lake) and performs in an acoustic trio called Gil Sans. Visually, he is the founder and owner of BRING Studios, a graphics agency that specializes in video, web, and design. David takes his creativeness seriously, but he approaches life with a good amount of humor and warmth. Those elements are present in his creations and it makes David an artist that truly rises above the rest.
