Start Your Transformation Now In this episode, Jim Fortin reveals the one thing you must release if you truly want more from life: your emotional baggage. From guilt and fear to shame and self-judgment, Jim breaks down why clinging to these old emotions keeps you stuck at “first base” in life—safe but stagnant. Through powerful metaphors, real coaching stories, and deep subconscious insights, Jim explains how to finally let go so you can receive what your soul is really asking for. Jim dives into the neuroscience and energetics behind why we resist letting go—even when it costs us everything we want. You'll learn how we become emotionally enslaved by past events, why our brains trick us into choosing safety over growth, and how unresolved fears block the flow of abundance, joy, and personal power. If you've ever felt like you're doing the inner work but still stuck, this episode will help you understand why—and what to do next. If you're ready to stop circling the same fears and finally step into more, this episode will show you how to drop the weight and open the door to transformation. What You'll Discover in This Episode: Why You Can't Keep One Foot on First Base (01:12) Jim introduces a powerful metaphor that illustrates why holding on to the past blocks new opportunities. Nathan's Story: The Cost of Holding On (05:15) A coaching example that shows how unresolved shame and guilt can sabotage progress—no matter how much we say we want change. The Furniture Metaphor: No Room for the New (11:40) Jim explains how holding on to emotional baggage leaves no space for new experiences or abundance. How Your Fears Keep Circling Like Coyotes (24:45) A vivid story to help you see how fear continues to show up until you confront and conquer it. Are You a Slave to Emotion? (22:30) Jim challenges listeners to consider whether their lives are being run by fear, shame, or the need for external validation. Your Soul Is Waiting—Let It Out (20:30) A reminder that soulful living requires courage, not comfort—and that everything you want lies beyond fear. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You can't have more in life until you let go of what's weighing you down. Transformation isn't about gaining—it's about releasing. Fear, shame, guilt, and self-judgment don't define you—they delay you. Let go to let in. You were never meant to carry the past forever. The life you want is already waiting… if you have the courage to put down what's holding you back and reach for it. Let's Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? In this week's extended Stoppage Time episode, we dive into reflections and fresh takeaways from my fascinating conversation with Scottish entrepreneur Chris Herd — the founder of Firstbase, which was recently acquired by AppDirect after raising millions in venture capital from top-tier firms like Sequoia and Andreessen Horowitz.Joining us from his hometown of Aberdeen, Chris shares powerful insights on the future of remote work, building entrepreneurial ecosystems beyond Silicon Valley, and what it really means for a founder to exit a company. We also take a surprising historical turn, uncovering Scotland's deep and often overlooked influence on the industrial and modern economic world. This is more than just a conversation about startups and remote work — it's a thoughtful, personal, and at times philosophical journey through leadership, legacy, and the evolution of work over the next 50 years. If you're into entrepreneurship, remote-first thinking, or just love hearing from passionate, grounded leaders who think big — this one's for you.So sit back, press play, and stay with me through the full episode — you'll be glad you did. Curtis and Wiggy argue over what the sox should do at first base
A discussion on Rafael Devers and his attitude about first base. Someone has to step up and learn the position. Why didn't the team make him take grounders at first during spring training? Since Casas is out for the year, it puts the situation into a different light. Devers is very upset with Breslow right now. Scott did it in Moneyball, Raffy! Telemundo translator said that Devers actual comments were worse than what the so-called translator said. Isn't this Cora's job to tell Devers to play first? Not Breslow. So many players are ready to play first base in the system, but Devers is a baby and a bad teammate. Not a professional. Wormy weasely Cora probably promised Devers the baby he would DH in the offseason. Breslow did the right thing and talked to him. That is Cora's job! Devers is a loser who won a ring. The rumor of Devers shopping for first baseman gloves was a lie! Unbelievable. Callers react to the conversation. The reactions to Devers comments in the clubhouse were not good. The front office clearly loves Cora. Top Five Friday Top Five first basemen options for the Red Sox. NUMBER FIVE WILL SHOCK YOU.

Bob and Dave are joined by Charlie Furbush in studio all hour to discuss whether Dan Wilson’s inexperience as a manager cost the Mariners the game against the Athletics last night, what they need to do to fix their first base issues, the causes of Bryce Miller’s bad starts, and whether Andres Munoz is emerging as one of the best closers in the MLB.
Brock and Salk ask a few Mariners questions to begin the hour, including how extra innings was managed in the Mariners loss, along with the slow start to the year for Bryce Miller. The two also ponder what the Mariners long term answer at first base could be and if they'll go out and make a trade for a first baseman at some point during the year. In Blue 88, Brock takes a look at two Seahawks day 3 picks who could be starters, another football mind that loves the Elijah Arroyo draft pick and who Jalen Milroe's delivery most reminds him of in the NFL.

And then win it in 2OT!? Sorry, St. Louis. What could have been! (7:30) Another Game 7 happened but in the NBA. The Warriors did it on the road. Wow. Steph Curry had a huge 4th quarter. Buddy Hield had the game of his life. (15:30) We talked recently about adding another bag at first base will not happen, but should it? Triston Casas is the latest player to be done for the season after suffering a serious injury running to first. (24:10) So You Wanna Talk to Samson!? Someone asked me about contraction in MLB. What would need to happen for MLB to consider the Rockies or Marlins or Pirates as possible teams to go away? (33:34) Review: Good Night and Good Luck. (42:30) Gregg Popovich is headed to the front office. He was named the preisdent of the Spurs. Sad end to his coaching career, but needed move. The best to ever do it.
