This week, Sacred Symbols is a Kojima Fanboy Podcast... for a little while, anyway. Finally -- finally! -- we have a release date for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, and it's fairly close, arriving on PlayStation 5 in late June. And as a deep love for Kojima is perhaps the biggest gaming stance all three Sacred hosts share, we thought we'd spend some time getting hyped up following an all-new 10 minute trailer, collector's edition and pre-order details, and so on. Other news this week includes word of major forthcoming updates to PS5 Pro, the leak of a mysterious PSP game called STAMP that was never greenlit into production, the announcement of PowerWash Simulator 2 (!) from FuturLab, rumors of imminent PS5 releases for Indiana Jones and an Oblivion Remake, and much more. Then: Listener inquiries! What do we think of the reveal that Naughty Dog's Intergalactic will deal with religion as a central theme? Do we have any thoughts about the copious leaks from the recent Battlefield playtests? How will MLB: The Show 25 shape-up in its first current-gen-only PlayStation outing? Does Dustin have a serious misconception of what some people actually do when listening to our shows? Please keep in mind that our timestamps are approximate, and will often be slightly off due to dynamic ad placement. Nicky and Eric are all washed up in a polarizing episode about PowerWash Simulator. PowerWash Simulator is a simulation game developed by FuturLab and published by Square Enix Collective. Players take control of a power washing business and complete various jobs to earn money. Gameplay primarily revolves around using a power washer to clean dirt off of objects and buildings. The game was first made available in early access through Steam in May of 2021, and was fully released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in July 2022. Further ports for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, were released January of 2023. Press Any Button hosts Nicky (a new gamer) and Eric (a lifetime gamer) are a married couple who both love video games. For every video game they will discuss its past (history of the game, developers story, and fun facts), present (game play, game review and strategy), and future (will there be a sequel?? A movie?) BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE… Every game also comes with a challenge presented by the host that chose the game. If the challenge is not completed then whoever failed has to do a video game rap! So if you want to learn more about video games, hear some nerdy video game raps, or just have a good time this is the podcast for you. We try to cover all types of video games including: Retro and New video games Playstation, Nintendo, Xbox, Sega, and PC games Any and all genres including RPG, Simulation, Beat em up, platforming, mystery, first person shooter, sandbox, puzzle, action adventure, etc. Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pressanybutton_podcast Credits: Nicky Smith Eric Luedtke Music by Mark Spurlock and Eric Luedtke References: https://www.gamesindustry.biz/the-hidden-pressure-behind-powerwash-simulator https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PowerWash_Simulator https://powerwash-simulator.fandom.com/wiki/PowerWash_Simulator https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/why-did-no-one-tell-me-powerwash-sim-has-actual-lore https://noisypixel.net/powerwash-simulator-7-million-players-worldwide/ https://powerwash-simulator.fandom.com/wiki/Specials https://comicbook.com/gaming/news/powerwash-simulator-2024-roadmap-ps5-xbox-switch-pc/

New year, still queer! Spencer and Jamie kick off 2023 with some new directions for the show. Then Spencer tries to communicate the life-changing magic of FuturLab's PowerWash Simulator, which is cheaper than therapy and basically just as effective, while Jamie unpacks the extremely earnest and undeniably queer energy of Marvel's Midnight Suns from Firaxis Games. 0:57 - Intros & catch-ups7:23 - 13 Going on 30 does NOT hold up14:27 - BREAKFAST PIZZA?!19:10 - PowerWash Simulator discussion 37:07 - Marvel's Midnight Suns discussionSide QuestLet's rebuild a home for a cherished Black, disabled family in Florida!givebutter.com/yochevedYocheved (yo-heh-ved) and Miss Wanda urgently need funds to repair their family's home in Gainesville, FL. When you enjoy cleaning so much that you do it for fun! For this episode, our hosts have been tasked with checking out a first-person simulation title developed by FuturLab and published by Square Enix Collective. This is definitely the kind of game that would generate a cult following, so it makes a certain amount of sense that our listeners would request that Tom and Chris take a crack at it. Will cleaning buildings really feel that satisfying? Will their experience running a virtual power washing business for an hour lead them to rethink their careers? Give this episode a listen and find out if they had a good clean time or if listeners have done them dirty with this request. What do you think? Let us know! This week on The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko, Sean, Paul and Toby dissect the weeks gaming news and get rather heated about the discourse surrounding The Last of Us Part II. We wanted to show our appreciation for voice actress Laura Bailey and her sterling work in the game. There's not an awful lot else to say here regarding this segment, we just recommend you give it a listen .Elsewhere we talk the recently announced Fallout TV series coming to Amazon Prime. What do we want to see from it? is there a new story to be told in the Fallout universe? We get into it. We talk the real possibility of next-generation games starting at £70 as their recommended retail price. Are we going to spend that kind of money to play Horizon Forbidden West? Is the price of games balancing out the cost of development, we attempt to take a look at the issue a little more pragmatically. Finally we get very sad at the fact that Futurlab's ready to release sequel to Velocity 2X, Velocity Supernova may never see the light of day due to publishing issues. As the game has been teased by Futurlab themselves, we can only hope the game gets picked up by a publisher and become the biggest game on earth because of course it would it's a damn sequel to one of the best games of the generation, right? Come on, publishers. Goodness. Sean also sets a very difficult Video Game Movie Trivia Challenge, Rossko talks for an awfully long time about musical theatre and we talk hands-on with The Last of Us Part II, Fortnite Season 3, The Otterman Empire, Tower of Time, Death Come True, Neon Abyss, The Messenger, CrossCode, Hunting Simulator 2, Horizon Zero Dawn and more. Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY GREG. See you next time. This week on The Finger Guns Podcast we are joined by James Parker, head honcho of Ground Shatter (Rico, Skyscrappers)! We go deep into their exciting new game, deck-building fighter Fights In Tight Spaces and talk about Rossko and Sean's love of RICO, along with how Ground Shatter are dealing with developing a new game whilst self-isolating and most importantly. James' official ranking of the Fast and Furious franchise. We also discuss how a virus outbreak has officially delayed the sequel to the biggest game ever about a virus outbreak and most distressingly, the horrendous backlash from a community of 'gamers'. Ugh. The BAFTA Games Awards were also this week so we go into the winners and discuss if they were the worthy victors. What else would we have liked to have seen win? We discuss. Greg also talks playing and finishing Resident Evil 3 (you may have heard him mention it before?) and restarting Nier: Automata. Paul talks jumping back into Far Cry 5 and James shares his thoughts on Lair of the Clockwork God and Call of Duty's latest royale, Warzone. There's also hands-on impressions with In Other Waters, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, Futurlab's Powerwash Simulator, Real Heroes Firefighters, The Complex, playing as Deadpool in Fortnite and Animal Crossing New Horizons. Damn those eggs. DAMN. THOSE. EGGS. Stay safe. Stay home. Enjoy the podcast. Love Finger Guns. Kirsty Rigden is the Development Director at FuturLab - an award-winning game studio based in Brighton. Kirsty’s been with the company since 2010. But her career in the industry began back in her university days, when she got a summer job testing games for the BBC. She went on to gain more experience, working as a tester for a mobile company called I-Play. Kirsty told me that this was in the days before the iPhone, and, as she put it, “before it was cool to make mobile phone games”. From game tester, she then progressed to the role of junior games designer at that same company. Kirsty then moved on to the position of Lead Designer at Cohort Games, before heading down to Brighton to work for Relentless, EA, and finally, to FuturLab.
This week on Platinum Explosion, Dylan is joined by Ciaran, Nick and Jono to discuss two new VR experiences as Superhot finally hits the PS family, and Dylan shares his impressions of Futurlab's new game Tiny Tracks. The guys work through the IGEA's 'Digital Australia Report' published this week and discuss all the facts and tidbits revealing Australia's gaming landscape.
The GamesIndustry.biz Podcast is back! For our first episode, Dan and James are joined by Kirsty Rigden, development director at UK studio FuturLab, to discuss the firm's first project for virtual reality. Finally, we hint at what to expect from the GI.biz team this year and what we're most looking forward to in 2017.

We talk about the Vita and the millions of games coming to the platform, including Futurlab's Velocity 2X, Rogue Legacy, and Hotline Miami 2. We also discuss the future of the PS3 and what is coming up on PS4, as well as a Watch_Dogs movie and what we think of Watch_Dogs. We tell you the latest releases for the week and what we've been sort of playing, and then close the show out with a conversation about seminal games that we missed out on during our childhoods.
