Shane Dax Taylor's Murder Company is an old-fashioned World War II men on a mission movie. On Demand now in the U.S., the film stars William Moseley, Pooch Hall, Gilles Marini, Joe Anderson and Kelsey Grammer. The plot follows a group of US soldiers as they attempt to smuggle a member of the French resistance behind enemy lines so that he can assassinate a high-value Nazi target. Star Gilles Marini and director Shane Dax Taylor joined the Movies In Focus podcast to talk about the film, the reasons for making it and the complexities of making a film set during the Second World War. This is a fascinating episode - especially when Gilles Marini delves deep into his family history to talk about his grandmother's resistance work during the war. It's heartfelt and passionate stuff.
He sizzled on the big screen in Sex and the City and turned up the heat on Season 8 of DWTS, almost taking home the Mirrorball Trophy! Including the injury he kept hidden, the duo's hot chemistry, what he said in Cheryl's defense that got him a lot of heat, regretting doing the All-Stars show, and she goes there . . . Cheryl confronts Gilles about the rumor he asked for Peta as a partner in Season 15 instead of her. Plus, how Gilles brought out the best in Cheryl when she needed it the most, a revealing rapid-fire Q&A, and the risqué audition move he used for Sex and the City that helped him land the gig! That's just the tip of the iceberg with this fully loaded-episode! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Native New Yorker Patty Blount is the award-winning author of several critically acclaimed internet issues novels for teens as well as a few contemporary romances for grown ups. She is inspired to write by such greats as Judy Blume, JK Rowling, and Gayle Forman. In fact, Judy Blume is the reason Patty elected to write under her real name…so she’d appear on shelves close to her idol. Patty lives on Long Island with her family and wants you to know she loves chocolate…really, really loves chocolate. When not crushing on actors Gilles Marini or Sam Heughan, Patty can be found sitting in traffic, somewhere on the Long Island Expressway, listening to audio books or talking wildly to herself about plots and characters. Prone to falling madly in love with fictional characters, Patty suffers frequent broken hearts when they all invariably prefer the heroine to her… go figure. When she’s not writing, Patty loves to watch bad sci-fi movies and live tweet the hilarity. http://www.pattyblount.com/ Radio host and author Laura Moe spent most of her working life as a librarian and English teacher in central and Southeastern Ohio, but has recently moved to Seattle where she writes full-time.
