Kyle Kauffman | Feb 2 2025 Are you someone who other people would want to confess their sins to? Are you prepared to receive someone else's confession and respond with grace? Is keystone a church where people could confess any sin? It's a risky thing for someone else to confess their sins and so we should seek to be people who know how to respond well when this happens. If we want to create a gospel culture where people feel it's okay to confess sin, then we must be people who are safe enough and strong enough to be able to receive and respond to other people as they confess their sin. Galatians 6:1-5 helps us to be prepared to be exactly these type of people as God calls us to bear the burdens of one another.

Since 2015/2016, we have an elevated consciousness regarding cancer in the fire service. With slow, but sure processes, we learned the AFFF, and our gear are “dosed” with PFAS. That it about to change. My guests on this episode of “5-Alarm Task Force!” are Kevin Yeazell and his son Kevin Ryan Yeazell of a company Fireground Supply. Several seasons ago, we met (via podcast) Quincy Emmons, from Canada. His company created a product, Fire Rein. It is a liquid composed of all-natural product, without any PFAS/PFOS. My guests reached out to Quincy's company for details and saw how valuable this could be for the fire service. Additionally, Fireground Supply created another firefighting tool, called Eco-Gel. It sticks to almost any product like wood, plastics, and more. What is important to know is that Eco-Gel is made of all natural products, contains no PFAS/PFOS and actually sticks to the surface and will not allow a re-light of what was burning. Kevin Ryan Yeazell is also an expert on firefighting gear. He is deeply involved in the issue of keeping our gear healthy and knows the industry very, very well. While the audio version of this podcast is complete, we urge you to visit our YouTube® channel, “5-Alarm Task Force,” where you will hear the entire podcast, BUT…. you will see several videos included how these products work! You can reach them at their website, www.firegroundsupply.com! ********************Please remember that we need your help especially during this Holiday Season; to raise the important funds we use to financially help our Brothers/Sisters and/or their families, when they are in dire need. How many times have we heard about a friend or relative made his/her annual visit to their doctor. She runs a batch of tests, only to tell you that there is a problem. When the patient is asked, “Why didn't you come in sooner?” The sad answer is, “I didn't think it was anything to bother you with.” Sadly, this often results in a serious condition that might have been mitigated with early discovery. Our guest on this episode of “5-Alarm Task Force,” is an ardent supporter of our podcast and always teaches us important and valuable info to promote healthy habits for the fire service and, more important, early detection!Over the years, even when still serving as the Executive Assistant Chief of the Broward County Sheriff – Fire/Rescue Division. Even long before he was involved with Lifescan Wellness, he brought them into that very department to evaluate the health of the firefighters, officers, etc. And with every appearance on the podcast, Todd has shared some of the wonderful stories of firefighters, police officers and others who, through the exams through Lifescan Wellness, many folks had early detection of what could have led to that person facing a tough, medical battle. Yet, with early detection, the Lifescan teams have found health issues which, had not been discovered, might have led to a significant issue.Check out our videocast on our YouTube® channel, “5-Alarm Task Force Corp,” and our audio podcast on all major podcast platforms. ********************Please remember that we need your help especially during this Holiday Season; to raise the important funds we use to financially help our Brothers/Sisters and/or their families, when they are in dire need. Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 95th episode of VideoFuzzy, reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings. While this set covers discs 1626 to 1650 in my Classic Collection, my Fuzzy Feature highlights a bit of a deep dive for this effort. From discs 1474 and 1480, I talk about "Hamlet 2" starring Steve Coogan and Catherine Keener. Our regional Capitol Shakespeare troupe presented "Hamlet" this summer, and I include comments from Derek Pich and Schatzy Eichmann, the actors who portrayed Hamlet and Ophelia. The theatrical theme traces as well from a Great Performances 2023 presentation of "Hamlet" I archived from PBS. Plus I'm readying a role in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" for TruNorth Theater, running the weekends of Sept. 20 and Sept. 27, so I'm in a theatrical state of mind. More info available at https://www.trunorththeatre.org/ and https://www.facebook.com/trunorththeatre. In my Classic Collection (VHS-to-DVD), covering discs 1626 to 1650, I talk about archiving dedicated VHS tapes with episodes of "Grey's Anatomy," "Medium," "The Simpsons," "Arrested Development," "Dollhouse," "Brothers & Sisters," "The Office" and "Vampire Diaries," this set featuring "Sleep Alone" by Bat For Lashes: https://bit.ly/4cZdsN8 Also spotted, a bizarre Powerade commerical called "Sport is What You Make It": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAXf9_3pgqY In my Current Collection, I touch very briefly on shows I've archived direct to DVD, but my priority was new digital media I'd acquired, box sets of "The Magicians," "Warehouse 13" and a couple seasons of "The Umbrella Academy." Also, a box set of Rodgers and Hammerstein classics turned up among my mom's effects when she passed this summer, and I'm looking forward to watching them. I included a clip or two from "Rigoletto" my mom recorded for me for a show I was directing in 2001, "The Importance of Being Earnest." My mom and dad's love and support of me and my work in community theater over the years are treasured memories. TOP TWELVE: Here's a "Top Twelve" episode guide for people looking for a quick read-in on this blog and podcast effort: https://videofuzzy.libsyn.com/about. Enjoy!

For those non-believers, one bad story or experience can shake them to a point of no return. Without the foundation of Christ in their life, they have no anchor to hold onto. In today's message, Pastor Bill reminds you that no matter your past experiences, or current circumstances, as a follower of Christ you can stand fast and anchor yourself in God's love. You may still be shaken, but you must remind yourself that you haven't missed God, and He hasn't missed you, there's nothing you can't handle.

Has anyone ever asked you to help them with something but they didn't say where they needed help? Many times doing what is asked of you requires you to go somewhere else. Well in today's message, Pastor Bill has good news, you can obey God right where you are! You don't have to wait until you get to a new or different city, and you don't have to wait until a specific time. You can stand fast and serve God right where you are. You may feel called to go somewhere else, well then that's where you serve Him.

Why do you go to work? You may say for a paycheck, but why do you need a paycheck,? Well, to take care of your family. Everybody knows why you go to work without having to ask. In today's message, Pastor Bill reminds you to follow the teachings in the Bible because God loves you. When someone loves you and you love them back you naturally want to do things that make them happy. When it comes to God the best way to show appreciation for His love is to follow His commandments.

Welcome to Heilman & Haver - Episode 75. We hope you enjoy the show! Please join the conversation - email us with thoughts and ideas and connect with the show on Facebook and Twitter and Instagram and at heilmanandhaver.com. IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Chris Lemmon With a career spanning over 40 years, Chris has starred in television series for all major networks, including Knot's Landing, Thunder In Paradise, Studio 59, Brothers Sisters, and most notably Fox's highly acclaimed network-starting situation comedy Duet. Plus over 25 feature films like Lena's Holiday, Just the Ticket, and That's Life alongside his father. Lemmon graduated California Institute of the Arts with degrees in classical piano and composition, as well as degrees in the theatrical arts, and went on to appear in numerous stage productions, including the west-coast tour of Barefoot In The Park, directed by the late Jerry Paris, the original award winning west coast production of Shay by Anne Commire, and the highly successful Love Letters with Stephanie Zimbalast. He presently resides in New England where he writes and produces feature films and television and his 2006 memoir, A Twist of Lemmon, is a heartfelt tribute to his iconic father. When Jack Lemmon died in 2001, the world lost a two-time Oscar winner and perhaps the most beloved actor of his generation; but Chris Lemmon lost a father and a best friend. In A Twist of Lemmon, Chris shares family tales, intimate father-son conversations, and anecdotes from and about his dad. Chris then took those stories and memories from the page to the stage, creating his one-man hit show Twist of Lemmon, sharing an intimate look into the experience of growing up in Hollywood, featuring nine of his original piano compositions, a narrative of touching and heartfelt stories, and laugh-out-loud anecdotes from his life and times in the world of Hollywood stardom. Chris joined from his home in Connecticut. Watch TWIST OF LEMMON on YouTube.
Do you think the metaphor of the body or family is more relevant for Christ's followers? I share my thoughts on these ideas that are found in the new testament and where both can be helpful. This season, I'm exploring the book "Called to Community," edited by Charles E. Moore. Throughout this year-long study, I will work through what it means to live intentionally with others. The book covers a wide range of topics, authors, and ideas. For each episode, I start by reading the chapter, giving my opinion on the reflective questions provided, scripture reading, and concluding with an actionable next step to take. Click the link if you want to purchase "Called to Community." Please leave a positive review wherever you listen or share your favourite episode with a friend. Special Guest Brother Andre Marie Host of ReConquest aired only on the Crusade Channel Follow Brother on GAB and Twitter - @Brother_Andre There is nothing in the Rubric that says what the laity should do in the pew period. It mentions what servers do to a degree but mostly what the Priest is to do. There is a presumption but commentators have to fill-in blanks Orans positions isn't traditional in the Western Rite, it is done more in Eastern. It is not novelty w/ places they are practiced. The ‘choir loft' is also a Protestant thing, not a Catholic thing. There are just customs and customs are different in different regions. That is the way it is and the way it was. So there may be a custom to show reverence to your Priest in your community. That's fine there is NO Rubrics on if you should do it or not. 4 Senses of Sacred Scripture HEADLINE: Supernaturalizing Our Social Interactions by Brother Andre Marie Anagoge, sometimes spelled anagogy = is a Greek word suggesting a "climb" or "ascent" upwards. The Churches liturgy wouldn't make sense….. Jerusalem is the Church in that reading when it says Jerusalem Rejoice! Lent isn't a matter of what you are giving up, we should be depriving ourselves of things we like, that's all good but we should focus on acquiring virtue and growing in the love of Our Lord. If you do only deny yourself via deprivations, w/o attachment to Our Lord, the deprivations w/ strike you at some point and you can get to “well I gave this up so I can do this over here”. I will meat w/ my Spiritual Director and make sure that I have a Lenten program that is workable and brings me closer to God. Allegorical Sense — the realm of faith, corresponding to meditatio in monastic prayer: This sense tells me what things really and fully mean when they are perceived in the superior light of divine and catholic faith. Literal Sense — the realm of “nature” (or, better, of the most immediate appearances of a perceived reality), corresponding to lectio in monastic prayer: Here, I see each of my Brothers (Sisters) in their essence and nature as a reality, a “given,” with all of their personal qualities and attributes, their temperaments and character traits. With some of them, an easy and natural concord flows from a compatibility of those personal qualities and attributes. With others, such easy amity is lacking owing to a less compatible arrangement of our personalities. Our episode 120 guest is on the mark: our latest cover star continues to bring intelligence to his choices as an actor, and while doing so, harnesses the power of his diverse fan base. Specifically speaking, Luke Macfarlane brings his skill for playing luscious leading roles to gay rom-com Bros, from writer-director Nick Stoller, producer Judd Apatow, and co-star and writer, Billy Eichner. And yes, there's another Hallmark holiday on the way, and also, a star-studded AppleTV+ series to come. We sat down with the Julliard-trained actor to talk about his current projects, his career path, and who he is and how he spends his time off the set. We head down memory lane with days at Juilliard, and how NewYork will always feel like the place where his creative life really started. We talk about how he ultimately decided to ditch the cello for acting, and his continued love of music and for doing theater. We talk being Canadian, and obtaining American citizenship. It's an intimate and incredibly honest discussion where Luke shares thoughts on being a longtime openly gay actor, the opportunities that have come his way, and his hope for future roles within the action genre. We talk in detail about Luke's north star: the importance of doing the work, and how that's helped him navigate decision-making when it comes to his career. He also shares how being open-minded has and will continue to serve him, “We all have ideas about where we want to head, but then we also look down the road, and followwhere the road is guiding us a little bit, too”, Luke shares on the podcast. His thoughtful approach to all things, and his integrity, are both infectious and inspiring. We talk about being a part of groundbreaking tv and film, the 360 moment he's experiencing now, with his film, Bros, and then, with his series Brothers + Sisters, and all that time in between, including the three series he was on. We talk about one of his very favorite roles, in a PBS period piece. And we talk all things Brothers + Sisters of course, and how what was supposed to be a short stint, turned into him appearing in nearly every episode across five seasons, and people falling in love with his character, Scotty. Luke shares the important things that he learned from Sally Field at that time, and from cast members like Rob Lowe and Calista Flockhart. Luke talks all about being a Hallmark leading man and the “Tom Cruise” of the channel's much-loved films. Listen in to episode 120 for tons of Hallmark BTS, including how working on the films has fostered trust in his instincts. And hear all about what it was like to make Bros, specifically how he collaborated with the modern rom-com's crew, and how he approached playing his character Aaron, mentally, emotionally, and physically. We talk about his beloved woodworking hobby, and how it's key to his psychic health. This and so much more, including a list of his current favorite things.
