The Happy Pear are Irish twins David and Steve Flynn. Travelling on opposite sides of the world, they both unknowingly switched to a plant based diet within a week of each other. Proof of twin power and The Happy Pear seed was sown. They are all about a healthier, happier world. They absolutely love rising early and heading to Greystones beach in County Wicklow, Ireland to catch the sunrise and take a dip in the sea. They appreciate every day and really believe that the key to happiness is good health and a great support network. Now even their parents eat mainly planted based, although mum was first quite offended. The Happy Pear cafe in Greystones has been open for 14 years. The Happy Pear cookbook was a No. 1 bestseller for two years in a row, and outsold Jamie Oliver this Christmas. They now have four cookbooks, a sprout and wheatgrass farm, a coffee roastery, hundreds of employees’ and online courses. On top of that they've launched their own line of vegan food with Waitrose, and are filming for Jamie Olivers’ food channel. Nicola Galloway from Homegrown Kitchen joins Jesse to talk broad beans and the Pink Lady Food Photography Awards. Details about the competition and how you can enter are here. Nicola has recently discovered that you can cook the whole pods either in a stew-style dish or popping the beans out once they are cooked like edamame and seasoned with soy sauce and sesame oil. She is also a judge in the international Pink Lady Food Photography Awards. The head judge is David Loftus who photographed many of Jamie Olivers cookbooks among other big name cookbook authors in the UK.

He is a a brilliant chef and is Jamie Olivers right hand man on the Foodtube channel. Christian also has his own weekly show on the DJBBQ channel. He is probably best known and respected as the presenter of his Channel 5 television series ‘RAD’ and ‘RAD The Groms Tour’ which ran for 10 years and won him and the channel their first BAFTA in the Best Entertainment category. Christian is also a highly respected DJ. He has amassed a huge fan base from his days at Kerrang and XFM as well as DJing and hosting major events all over the world. Christian is ALSO heavily involved in the world of Freesports and gaming. He has hosted Red Bull X Fighters and the Ski and Snow board show and was heavily instrumental in the scripting and soundtrack of the game "Dirt 2" and subsequently featured as a character in "Dirt 3”. Oh, and he also made his acting debut starring in the film “Chalet Girl” alongside Bill Nighy and Brooke Shields. Helen stood up and told this story about how stealing Jamie Olivers picnic basket resulted in an almost brief encounter at the Spark Open Mic at The Ritzy Cinema in Brixton.
