You can also watch this episode on Youtube where English, Italian and Spanish subtitles are available or visit the Metralla Rosa website for more details. With more than two decades of experience as a music producer and DJ, Chris Inperspective, our latest guest for this episode of Metralla Rosa, is the founder of Inperspective Records, Eloisa Records and Black Junglist Alliance. Thanks to his ongoing stance against racism and his conviction that black artists must work to reclaim the importance of black culture in the history of the western world, Chris has constantly found himself in a position of being able to create musical experimentation and spaces in which the cultivation of quality and innovation are the only priority. With a successful career as an artist on the London Jungle and Drum'n'Bass scene Chris has, for many years, been an active voice within a movement that was born in the early nineties from the hearts and souls of young people living in primarily black and socially marginalised communities on the streets of the English capital. Culturally, these musical movements were responding to the limitations and anger arising from post Thatcher Britain, a spontaneous musical genre that promoted cultural diversity and social unification through dance. It was a musical scene that, with its priority of rhythm over melody and its acknowledgement of a musicality present within its sequences of accelerated breaks, inadvertently brought people together in their desire to positively destabilise the status quo in more ways than one. Join us to explore the artistic journey of a DJ who has touched several generations with his music and to see how political and business decisions within major record labels and the music world affect the day to day reality of the international Jungle and Drum'n'Bass scene. In this interview, Chris and Carla discuss, amongst many other things, the lack of representation for black women on the British dance scene, how the necessity for him to self-manage and self-promote led to the creation of the Black Junglist Alliance and how his passion for discovering new and emerging talents has allowed Chris to face the future with optimism and a spring in his step. And now, enjoy the interview!_____________________Related LinksChris Inperspective: InstagramInperspective Records: Website | Instagram | Facebook | Bandcamp | SoundcloudEloisa Records: Instagram | Facebook | Soundcloud | BandcampBlack Junglist Alliance: Instagram | Facebook _____________________For further information about this interview, including links to anything mentioned by Chris, or to continue reading this text in Spanish, English and Italian, visit the Metralla Rosa website.Support the show (https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/metrallarosa)

Well here we are with Episode 9! This week we talk about the future of raving in the age of social distancing, we imagine what it would be like to start all over again with a brand new record collection, CEO of Dope Ammo Records Coco Shah 'Makes Me Believe' in the power of Jungle Music and our special guest is BBC Radio 6 DJ, Writer and Broadcaster Tom Ravenscroft. Tom takes the time time share his 'Phonographic Memories' with us and discusses the pros and cons of following in John Peel's frankly enormous DJ shoes. It's all very jolly. Our Spotify playlist is based solely on what we happen to mention during the show, it is not 'curated' as such. S1E7: 'Kraven the Hunter'. Face front true believers! This time we're delving into what is the most ridiculous episode of the Spider-Man: The Animated Series yet, with one Russian jungle-themed maniac called Kraven. Henry is in love with him, Robbie Robertson is confused by him, and Jack is too busy wondering how Zero Waste Blanka fits into all of this. Then, after our talk about the seventh episode of the series, we look into the origins of Kraven in The Amazing Spider-Man #15. We also touch on Sony's plans for a cinematic universe, and Henry pitches a Kraven movie that might just work... RAUSCHHAUS on: - Facebook: www.facebook.com/rauschhausmusic - SoundCloud: @rauschhaus HOW I MET THE BASS on: - Facebook: www.facebook.com/howimetthebass - Twitter: www.twitter.com/howimetthebass - Mixcloud: www.mixcloud.com/HowIMetTheBass 3 QUESTIONS to RAUSCHHAUS: Q: From DnB to Trash to House and Electro. How would you describe your roots in a few words? A: To me Electronic Music was only connected to parties and dancing way before I started to make it by myself. From 1998 - 2010 I only focused on Hiphop, produced beats and wrote the lyrics. But beside that I always loved to dance to Jungle Music and Drum And Bass, had some Happy Hardcore tapes and loved to listen to The Prodigy, Pendulum, Noisia and acts like that. It was a slow process as I lost the connection to rap and started to plunge into the universe of Electronic Music. I soaked it all in and got to know all the different genres and their characteristics. While listening and comparing I started my own projects and was immediately hooked by all the possibilities and new influences. I started to visit a lot of clubs and spent many nights studying tracks, how they affect people and what atmospheres they can generate. When you look at my first Rauschhaus releases you can clearly hear my musical development and where my inspiration came from. Q: What do these tracks still mean to you? And would you still play some of them? A: Each of the tracks that I've chosen has a special meaning to me and reminds me of certain places or people. I still love to hear them and it took me quite a while to find the right tracks for this podcast. Most of them won’t fit into my playlist now but while compiling I thought that it would be a good idea to put the folder on my USB Stick to be prepared for the right moment Q: Which future Rauschhaus projects are on the way? A: There are a lot of upcoming projects and I was really busy during the last months. I will release an EP on ICONYC, collaborate with Mango Alley again and will put out two tracks on Parquet. Beside that I continued to collaborate with my buddies Peter Groskreutz and Peer Kusiv and we finished a few amazing tracks together. You can expect a lot of new music soon and I am already planning new projects for the second half of the year.

JERU THE DAMAJA (nyc) + HASTYLE (nyc) Les artistes : JERU THE DAMAJA (nyc) 1ère partie : HASTYLE (nyc) / DJ STAMIFF (Lille) / OMAZ (Paris) / DJ AMOR (Lille) JERU THE DAMAJA : Jeru a débuté sa carrière en 1992 sur « I'm the Man », un morceau présent sur l'album de Gang Starr Daily Operation.
