WBO and WBA Lightweight Champion Vasyl Lomachenko added the WBC lightweight title to his collection last night as he systematically outpointed the very game contender Luke Campbell. Campbell didn't make thing easy for Lomanchenko early on but the Ukrainian showed why is arguably the best pound for pound fighter in the sport by making the necessary adjustments and pulling away in the second half of the fight. Campbell put up a valiant effort and survived an eleventh round knockdown but just didn't have enough to stop the highly skilled Lomanchenko from doing what he wanted.

After a slow weekend of boxing action we look ahead to the following weekend that looks to be chock full of intriguing matchups. In what appears to be the most competitive and intriguing matchup on the schedule, this upcoming Saturday night, Christina Hammer takes on Claressa Shields in a winner take all showdown. This one is for all the marbles as both women look to become the undisputed unified women’s middleweight champion of the world. Another interesting fight on the schedule has unified lightweight champion defending his WBA and WBO lightweight titles against the very tough, rugged, and experienced former title challenger Anthony Crolla.
