All about paced-up rhythmic onslaughts (that's a euphemism), incisive breaks from hell and jaw-breaking angularity, clearly his blends are not made to be enjoyed with a scone in one hand and a teacup in the other, or else you'll need some new tableware and shirt pronto. So what's van Dongen's style like for real? Fling a brick in the dishwasher and let it froth to death, that's an idea. Or just hop on board his RYC mix and feel the shockwave. In our 13th instalment of the series, Japanese musician Yasuyuki Uesugi shares a 30 mins-long track specially produced for CLOT Magazine. Truths is a noise track that expresses the question of whether all the truth should be conveyed or how hidden it should be to live. Uesugi produces wall of sound kind of noise music, using almost a fully analogue workflow, u including a custom-made synthesizer made by JMT SYNTH (Japanese handmade synthesizer maker) the NSDQ, a 2VCO synthesizer equipped with multiple sub oscillators, delay effector, phaser effector, and a 16-step sequencer. Once the parameters on the instruments are set, Yusuegui doesn’t physically play, the noise changes and evolves due to the effects of the analogue instruments and spring reverb, recording all in one take and letting each passing moment decide where my sounds go The producer started being interested in noise music when he met the mind behind JMT SYNTH: I became fascinated by operating the analogue synthesizer and freely searching for noise sounds, which became part of my music style today. Uesugi gui productions as himself defines are “deeply experimental noise tracks that reflect ideas of the spiritual world, mental illness and the human brain”, and as he shares with us: "I use this NDSQ to create noise music that expresses my distorted spiritual world. I have a mental illness, so I express it in the form of noise". This is well reflected both in the music, harsh, abrasive - almost as if something was to be pulled from one’s brain-, but and also in the titles and track names in many of his prolific productions. He has self-released a bunch of EPs and albums and also published in labels such as Drvg Cvltvre’s New York Haunted. In times where the disconnection with a gone reality is pushing, when our minds are stressed and damaged, listening to Yasuyuki Uesugui’s productions can be a cathartic noise exorcism.

Leonardo Martelli è giovane, è nato nel 1994 a Foligno, tra le montagne umbre, in un’area dall’alta sismicità in cui le vibrazioni della terra sanno farsi sentire. Lui è cresciuto artisticamente vicino ai ragazzi di Dancity Festival e Serendipity ed è, secondo noi, una di quelle persone brave ad ascoltare e ad imparare in fretta, silenziosamente. I suoi studi l’hanno portato sin da giovanissimo vicino alla musica elettronica e a tutto ciò che riguarda l’energia sprigionata delle onde sonore; grazie al network di artisti locali si è avvicinato già nel 2009 alle prime Roland 808 e ai primi Prophet, ma la sua prima release esce in cassetta “solo” nel 2015, sulla label techno sperimentale americana New York Haunted. Ce samedi 30 mai sur l'antenne de Radio Campus Paris et pour le Sandwich Triangle, un mix ultra exclusif de Drvg Cvltvre. En effet, Radio Campus Paris est sur tous les fronts en ce mois de mai, car en plus du Festival Brouillage, votre radio favorite est partenaire du ChaudardLand Festival, le festival organisé par Vagina Dentata du 23 avril au 6 mai.Pour cette émission, le collectif nous fait un immense cadeau, car nous diffuserons, ni plus ni moins, que le mix de Vincent Koreman aka Drvg Cvltvre lors de son passage pour l'ouverture du festival le 23 avril aux Caves Le Chapelais. Deux heures de techno sombre et envoutante aux accents dub, parfois même indus.Drvg Cvltvre, anciennement Ra-X est un producteur hollandais que les puristes chérissent, et les newbies adoubent. En effet, après plus de 20 ans de carrière, l'homme qui est derrière l'Incubate Festival à Tilbourg, à trainer ses pattes dans les scènes indus, punk, métal, a aussi fait parti des premiers émois de la scène squat/rave de la Westcoast of Holland dont le label Bunker Records s'est fait le chantre. Il a depuis eu de nombreux projets, comme sa dernière sortie sur Pinkman Records, et à aussi crée son label, New York Haunted, pour promouvoir les démos qu'il affectionne, envoyées depuis les quatre coins du globe.Son passage au ChaudardLand Festival a fait trembler les mûrs moites des caves, le VD crew ne s'y est pas trompé, en invitant l'un des plus fameux représentants de la scène hollandaise.Nul besoin de vous dire que le Sandwich Triangle n'est pas peu fier de pouvoir diffuser ce mix sous haute tension du kiffe.N'oubliez pas que le Festival Brouillage est dans les starting blocks et que le ChaudardLand continue ce week-end. Vendredi, soirée spécial VJ avec un line-up en son et lumière qu'on ne peut que vous conseiller, et une journée du 1er mai au Cirque Electrique, plus qu'électrique.
