Also on the show, Dante Martin pinned Matt Sydal with his double springboard moonsault... And AEW Women's Champion Dr. Britt Baker rolled up and pinned Abadon to win a non-title “Trick Or Treat” - or No Disqualification - match. This match had thumbtacks, tables, steel chairs and more. Seemingly nothing could keep Abadon down before interference by Jamie Hayter and Rebel allowed Dr. Baker to grab the rollup and the win. (STINGER: Impact) SPEEDBALL Mike Bailey has signed with Impact Wrestling. The news was announced by Scott D'Amore himself at Sunday night's Destiny Wrestling show in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. (STINGER: New Japan) New matches announced for New Japan's Battle In The Valley show in San Jose on November 13th...including Juice Robinson vs. Impact Wrestling's World Champion Moose...and Josh Alexander vs. Yuya Uemura. Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, September 27, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. (STINGER: WWE) A WWE Championship match is set to kick off tonight's Raw...with Big E defending against the former champ, Bobby Lashley. Lashley laid out the challenge during last night's Extreme Rules pay per view...not long after Big E and the rest of The New Day beat Lashley, AJ Styles & Omos to open the show. Big E pinned Lashley with the Big Ending after some miscommunication between Lashley and Styles. Sasha Banks returned to WWE TV last night. It happened during the SmackDown Women's Title match between Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair. Belair appeared to be moments away from hitting Lynch with the KOD and taking back the title, BUT that's when Banks made her return. She went right after Belair. Then, after a brief staredown, Banks took down Lynch as well. As Banks made her way back up the ramp, she could be heard saying, “I'll see both of you on Friday.” Roman Reigns is STILL the Universal Champion. He pinned THE DEMON Finn Balor in last night's main event...and there's a lot to unpack here. Balor was closing in when The Usos got involved and beat up on Balor. He appeared to be down and out, but then the lights turned red, Balor's music started to play and he powered up...to the point that he was poised to hit Reigns with the Coup De Grace. That's when the top rope inexplicably snapped. The lights went back to normal. The music stopped...and Reigns hit Balor with a Spear to get the win. Charlotte Flair pinned Alexa Bliss with Natural Selection to retain the Raw Women's Champion. After the match, Charlotte ripped Lilly to shreds...and Bliss basically had a nervous breakdown over this. Damian Priest is still the United States Champion. He won a 3-Way over Sheamus and Jeff Hardy. Priest rolled up Sheamus to get the pin. The Usos beat the Street Profits to retain the SmackDown Tag Titles. Montez Ford took the pin. Liv Morgan pinned Carmella on last night's Kickoff Show. MVP underwent surgery last week to repair a torn meniscus he suffered all the way back in February. He said he expects to be back on TV within the next 4-to-6 weeks. (STINGER: AEW) Tonight's AEW Dark: Elevation...has Paul Wight in a 3-on-1 match. Plus, Thunder Rosa is in singles action...and Dark Order's John Silver, Alex Reynolds, Alan “5” Angels & 10 will be in an 8-Man Tag. (STINGER: New Japan) TWO wrestlers remain unbeaten in the A Block of New Japan's G1 Climax tournament following Sunday's matches. Zack Sabre Jr. submitted Kota Ibushi. Sabre now holds tournament wins over Ibushi, Shingo Takagi and Tetsuya Naito. The other unbeaten is Great-O-Khan. He beat Yujiro Takahashi on Sunday. Also, KENTA pinned Tomohiro Ishii with a schoolboy after crashing Ishii into an exposed turnbuckle. And Toru Yano used a low blow and a rollup to pin Tanga Loa. Shingo Takagi had the non-tournament match. He pinned Yuji Nagata. The G1 resumes on Wednesday with matches in the B Block. (STINGER: ROH) It's a pay per view weekend for Ring Of Honor. Death Before Dishonor comes our way Sunday night from the 2300 Arena in bucolic and pastoral South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. FOUR title matches are on the card. Bandido defends the ROH World Championship in a 4-Way Elimination Match against Brody King, EC3 and DEMONIC Flamita. Jonathan Gresham defends the Pure Title against Josh Woods. Shane Taylor Promotions puts the ROH 6-Man Titles on the line against La Faccion Ingobernable's Dragon Lee, Kenny King & Bestia Del Ring. Plus. Rok-C vs. Miranda Alize in the finals of the ROH Women's Title Tournament. Also announced for the main card… Matt Taven & Mike Bennett vs. The Briscoes. Jake Atlas vs. Taylor Rust in a clash of free agents in pro wrestling. The FREE Hour One pre-show starts at 7PM, and will feature the 15-man Honor Rumble for a future ROH World Title shot. (STINGER: WWE) A WWE Championship match is now being promoted for Monday night's Raw - Bobby Lashley defending against Randy Orton. That match was first announced last Monday...only it was supposed to happen at the Extreme Rules pay per view. The Demon returned on last night's SmackDown from Madison Square Garden. Finn Balor emerged at the end of the show for a staredown with Roman Reigns. Reigns' interference apparently saved The Usos' SmackDown Tag Titles in last night's main event. The Street Profits had to settle for a DQ win. Balor was not the only person to get in Reigns' face last night. Brock Lesnar showed up at the start of the show to confront Reigns and Paul Heyman. Lesnar asked Heyman why he didn't tell Reigns that Lesnar would be showing up at SummerSlam. Reigns didn't like the sound of that, and he and The Usos bailed on Heyman. Lesnar then demanded that Heyman accept his challenge for a title match against Reigns. Heyman refused, so Lesnar hoisted him up for an F5. But Reigns and The Usos returned to save Heyman. Heyman later denied knowing Lesnar was at SummerSlam. Also last night, Seth Rollins pinned Edge with The Stomp. Rollins set up the finish with a barrage of superkicks, and Edge was taken out on a stretcher after the match. KING Nakamura, Rick Boogs, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio & Big E beat Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, Otis & Apollo Crews. Big E pinned Zayn with the Big Ending. Trae Young from the NBA's Atlanta Hawks was in the corner of Zayn and the bad guys. (STINGER: AEW) On last night's AEW Rampage...Andrade El Idolo took advantage of interference by Chavo Guerrero and pinned Pac. But after the match, Andrade decked Chavo, apparently ending that relationship. Also last night, Brian Pillman Jr. beat Max Caster...and Ruby Soho, Kris Statlander & Riho beat the AEW Women's Champion Dr. Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter & Rebel. Rebel took the pin. (STINGER: New Japan) On last night's New Japan Strong... Ren Narita pinned Karl Fredericks with his bridging belly-to-belly suplex in the main event. After the match, Fred Rosser challenged Narita to face him in the coming weeks. Also, Clark Connors beat Alex Coghlin...and Kevin Knight beat The DKC. Back in Japan, the rightful holder of Dragon Gate's vacant Open the Brave Gate championship will be decided on Saturday...as former champs Keisuke Okuda & SB KENTo go one-on-one. Pro-Wrestling NOAH's N-1 Victory tournament begins on Sunday. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, September 11. Our next update comes your way MONDAY morning.
