Two men currently in a no-man's-land of sorts in the WWE were, seven years ago, wrestling for the top singles prize in the hippest promotion in all of wrestling - California's Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. But whilst Ricochet and Kyle O'Reilly have gone onto greater heights as far as reaching a mass audience and making money, this might have been at a time when they were both approaching their cultural zeitgeist in the wrestling world. Have their talents been squandered? Is the best still to come? Is this a match that holds up when seen beyond the context of very drunk wrestling hipsters watching with a slightly detached irony? Lorcan (@lorcanmullan) and Simon (@simoncross3) are here to find out one way or the other. https://pateron.com/lmtyspod https://facebook.com/lmtyspod https://twitter.com/lmtyspod lmtyspod@gmail.com

On today's Jumping Nothing, Karl and Michael explore independent wrestling. Is it all just vanilla midgets? Is it laudable to do 100 moves? Does it matter what order the 100 moves go in? Who is watching this? Why not do a headlock? Is it funny to tell people to lick your genitals? Are indie wrestling fans just shut-ins on insulin highs? Answers to these questions and more are at least implied on the latest podcast, in which our intrepid podcast hosts dissect a strange world of untelevised brainbusters by watching a Pro Wrestling Guerrilla show that involves Kevin Steen rubbing his knob in Adam Cole's face, some on-the-shoulders wrestling, a rugged man endangering his tailbone, 1,090,311 high spots and a former WWE superstar doing a cossack dance as an offensive manoeuvre. Come join the fun. Music: Cousin Fik - Hacksaw Been Thuggin' Drake - Worst Behaviour Europe - The Final Countdown (Bryan Danielson's theme)

We take a break from our Year in Review series this week on Omakase to take another look at another American independent wrestling mainstay: California's Pro Wrestling Guerrilla! John is joined by two fans who have been attending PWG for years: Eric (@superjew1) who has been attending since 2013, and Brian (@BrianDaBrain) who has been attending since 2006. Brian also started the PWG trading card project, which he gives us some details on during the episode. But the main topics include: how PWG has changed over the years, when exactly it went from being a California indie with some fly-ins to a full-on super-indie (and what they think of that change), PWG's role in helping people get noticed, where PWG stands in the current wrestling landscape, how Dave Meltzer attending so any shows has lead to a backlash of sorts, whether or not PWG has real storylines, favorite (and most overrated) PWG World title reigns, notable moments, and more!
