Bunheads, our February episode is here. The Rainbow Crystals continue to be a cause of major aggravation on Sailor Moon in episode 32, but perhaps not as bothersome as the Naru/Umino love saga. Devon and Beau get into the weeds on many a thing, like the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Super Live musical and cooking for those you love (and most importantly how good food always looks in anime). They recap episode 32 of Sailor Moon: "Umino's Resolve: I'll Protect Naru" or "Tuxedo Melvin" in the DiC dub.Follow us on social media, Bunheads!Sailor T insta

It took a while for the Eastern Lariat crew to catch up with the events that took place on Bunka no Hi, the Day of Culture in Japan this past Monday – and it was a lot. STRIGGA & Dylan first discuss New Japan's Power Struggle including the big title matches, SANADA's turn, Umino's challenge and the reaction to it and the Tokyo Dome double shot in January taking shape. Moving on, All Japan's Hokkaido tour was less eventful than the NJPW show, but the sudden title switch to Davey Boy Smith Jr. Caught many spectators off guard and raises the question where former champion Aoyagi goes and for how long Smith holds the championship. The third big topic is last weekend's Gate of Destiny from DRAGONGATE that left many questions unanswered that fans expected to be answered. Finally, STRIGGA quickly goes over the DDT show from Sumida before the team discusses the Kota Ibushi/DDT situation and Yoshiki Inamura leaving for „unsual“ WWE training.

Steven Conway and Jeremy Finestone are back with a special episode breaking down the Nov. 4 Power Struggle show from Osaka. They talked about the classic main event with Will Ospreay and Shota Umino, what it could mean to Umino's career and how the match led to a big angle for Wrestle Kingdom. The match-by-match analysis included discussion of Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, El Desperado, Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Zack Sabre Jr. and more. Other matches analyzed included Hiromu Takahashi v Taiji Ishimori, the Super Jr. Tag League Finals with Catch 2/2 facing SHO and Yoshinobu Kanemaru, and Great O-Khan v Moxley. It was a great show with an enthusiastic crowd, and the guys were fired up to talk about it.

Steven Conway and Jeremy Finestone are back with a super-sized episode of Speaking of Strong Style! Jeremy and Steven broke down the Dominion card, which featured some great matches, including SANADA's title defense against new star Yota Tsuji, and why the company pumped the brakes on the youth movement for a night, They also discussed the fantastic six-man tag team match with Okada, Tomohiro Ishii and Hiroshi Tanahashi going up against the Blackpool Combat Club's Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Umino, and how it will lead to one of the great dream matches of our time, Okada versus Bryan Danielson. They were also joined by Japanese wrestling expert and historian Justin Knipper, who helped the pair preview the All Together Again show, which has All Japan and NOAH talent joining the New Japan crew for some fascinating matchups. They also talked about the G1 lineup, how Eddie Kingston will check one off his bucket list by participating, and why Kaito Kiyomiya will be a factor in the tourney. With all that plus more Bullet Club turns to talk about, this episode is a must for New Japan fans!
Today we're interviewing Satoshi Umino, founder of Sustainable Foods Asia, a consulting firm that helps companies enter the Japanese market. Satoshi personally works with companies to prop and pop up restaurants and educates consumers about unique food ingredients. I've met Satoshi multiple times when I was back in the United States and it's been real good bumping into him. It seems like a lot of Japanese companies are going to the United States to find the next big innovation. Our manufacturing partner has been courting through Japanese companies through his facility so something's there. Satoshi does a great job describing the Japanese's culture when it comes to tasting food and it's been real interesting learning about how he's introducing new food to the Japanese market. Pay attention specifically how he introduces things like jackfruit, spirulina and moringa, all fantastically new ingredients, to Japan Our world is global, and food itself is global and people like Satoshi are needed to explain just why our global food system is so cool. Satoshi echo's Akiko's interview in what the Japanese consumers look for in terms of the values go for food and some clarification on what the Japanese want in their food. It's always amazing just thinking about the new friendships I've made throughout this journey and just having a network of global faces that I've seen coming to America has been absolutely wonderful.

Mina Shirakawa had one her best matches of her career in Stardom when she face Saya Kamitani for the White Belt in Hiroshima Goddess Festival on November 3rd but a botched finisher by Kamitani resulted in her losing 2 or 3 frontal teeth and bruised jaw. Also in Stardom's Hiroshima Goddess Festival, Mayu Iwatani madeva surprising move after defending the SWA title for a 3rd victory, she decided to relinquish itbto focus on the IWGP Women's Championship but what does this means for the title now that is vacant. At WWE Crown Jewel, Logan Paul had an amazing match against Roman reign for the Undisputed Championship so what are my initial thoughts. More info is coming out about the biopic film based of pro Wrestling family the Von Erichs which features Zac Afron and AEW star MJF. Unagi Sayaka continues to make waves as a freelancer but her recent development is at Just Tap Out when an unexpected Joshi wrestler made a surprising choice. Finally, Shooter aka Shota Umino now graduated to Roughneck made his surprise return to New Japan and challenge Will Ospreay at the Historic X-Over for the IWGP United States Heavyweight championship. ENJOY.

From there the boys touch on the ongoing TV Championship Tournament, Ren Narita, Zack Sabre Jr, and the Great MUTA!!!! This leads us into Battle Autumn. The boys go over the card from top to bottom as we get into the heart of Wrestle Kingdom Season. We touch on Shibata showing up in AEW and challenging Orange Cassidy. Ciaran takes Matt through the NJPW x Stardom Historic X-Over Card. Both Matt and Ciaran are very excited for this historic event, even if Matt isn't familiar with Stardom talent. Balor was jumped by Baron Corbin before he could sign the contract. Cena then took it from Corbin and signed it...and that's apparently good enough for the legal department. Sasha Banks returned to SmackDown on Friday night. She aligned with Bianca Belair just long enough to win a tag match against Carmella and Zelina Vega...and then, Banks attacked Belair. (STINGER: AEW) Serena Deeb revealed over the weekend that a knee injury is keeping her out of action. Tonight's AEW Dark: Elevation has Darby Allin vs. Bear Bronson. (STINGER: New Japan) A new match announced for New Japan's Resurgence show in Los Angeles. The Good Brothers vs. Jon Moxley and a mystery partner. It won't be Shota Umino. New Japan announced Umino will not appear at Resurgence due to travel restrictions in the United Kingdom. The Good Brothers won the Tag Team Turbulence tournament on New Japan Strong on Friday. Back in Japan, Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI are STILL the NEVER Six Man Tag Champs. They beat Minoru Suzuki, Taichi & Zack Saber Jr. on Sunday. In Dragon Gate, there's a new Open The Dream Gate Champion. YAMATO ended Shun Skywalker's 259-day reign on Sunday. In Pro-Wrestling NOAH...Naomichi Marufuji had a successful defense of the GHC Heavyweight Championship against Kazushi Sakuraba on Sunday. On the first day of Stardom's 5 Star Grand Prix tournament over the weekend...Maika pinned the Wonder Of Stardom Champion Utami Hayashishita. (STINGER: Impact) W. Morrissey suffered his first loss in Impact Wrestling over the weekend. Eddie Edwards pinned him in a Hardcore Match on the Impact Plus exclusive Homecoming show Saturday night. Matthew Rehwoldt (RAY-walt) made his Impact debut. He joined up with Knockouts Champ Deonna Purrazzo, and together they won the one-night mixed tag team tournament to crown the Homecoming king and queen. Also on the show, Josh Alexander beat Black Taurus to retain the X-Division Title. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, August 2. Oh boy, Umino is acting like a real dick! Is this entire episode a commentary on masculinity, or are we making that up so we feel better about it? Turns out you can justify anything! In the name of the moon, we’ll talk at you!
Sailor Noob is the podcast where a Sailor Moon superfan and a total noob go episode by episode through the original Sailor Moon series! It's our second episode, and this one was TOO HOT for American TV. We talk about why this episode never made it to the US and the process of localizing manga and anime. There's a new fortune-teller in town, but after seeking her insight, Umino becomes a bit of a bully. Could she be a new youma from the Dark Kingdom? And can Usagi stop playing the new Sailor V video game long enough to stop her?In this episode, we talk about blood type personalities, the Japanese love of puns, sports comics, and the background of the manga's creator, Naoko Takeuchi!Cancer! And her name is Usagi!Sailor Noob is a part of the Just Enough Trope podcast network. Check out our other shows about your favorite pop culture topics!http://www.justenoughtrope.com
It's the Random Ramble show! On this show we spin two wheels, one consisting of a list of wrestlers and the other consisting of a number of wrestling storylines/scenarios. We spin both and have to combine both results to create an utterly ridiculous story. Do you want to hear the Ascension in a romantic storyline? or do you want to hear Elias join the Undertaker and HHH in a motorcycle gang? This is the show for you! (It's where we have the most fun!).If you like what we do here on the Rest Hold Ramble, follow our official Twitter and Instagram page being @restholdramble and our individual Twitter accounts being @RHRKieran and @RHRGareth.
Paul & Chris return to recap all things G1 Climax and take a look at what is to come on the next show! Also, a look at the short match times, the burgeoning buddy cop movie between Moxley & Umino and what Toru Yano & Bill Goldberg have in common!

This week on Wrestling Omakase it's more New Japan action as we continue tracking their hot March. John is joined by first time guest Lorien (@divingmeteora (https://twitter.com/divingmeteora) ) as we break down the NJPW Anniversary Event from Ota City Gymnasium and the first three nights of the New Japan Cup. It all starts with the Anniversary Show, as we discuss two big junior title matches, everybody pointing at themselves, and a main event we both found a little underwhelming. Then it's on to the first three nights of the New Japan Cup featuring 12 out of the 16 1st Round matches! Night 1 from Korakuen we discuss our Dad Feelings for Nakanishi, the International Cabal of Taichi Pretenders, Chase dunking on the host of this podcast personally and an awesome old guy battle in the main. Night 2 we're much more down on as 3 of the 4 matches were really quite dire, so we discuss some stuff we really didn't enjoy. But then it ends back on a positive night for Night 3 again with a lot of awesome stuff, including Taguchi's big upset of Tenzan (and his near-war crime ankle locks), Tanahashi taking Umino to school, EVIL and ZSJ being kind of perfect opponents for each other, and finally an amazing blowaway MOTYC between Naito and Ibushi. We wrap things up with some mailbag questions including who Naito's best opponent is and whether or not Umino's dad calling his biggest match ever was a conflict of interest. A fun time breaking down some NJPW, both the hot and the not so hot! Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Here is the preview for NJPW’s New Beginning in Osaka show that I promised, and hey, this time I actually delivered on that promise. I run-down the match-ups and talk about which ones I think can deliver. I also throw out a few booking ideas of my own, because as a true NJPW fan I definitely know how to book better than Gedo. Here are a few sentences I put together: “Jay White will be champ, otherwise Gedo will have a total mess on his hands”“Is it time for the Okada's renaissance yet?”“Ishimori better start impressing or I’m gonna get mad”“Taguchi is gonna step up™ here"“Umino and Yoshida must grip destiny with both hands” * Follow me on Twitter: @puregradepuro * Official Podcast: Youtube – Apple Podcasts – Podbean
