La Confraria de Sant Elm inicia una setmana intensa dedicada al patró dels navegants, una celebració profundament vinculada a la tradició marinera de Lloret de Mar. L’entitat, fundada l’any 1554, acumula prop de 470 anys d’història com una de les més antigues de la vila. Els actes començaran avui 2 de juny, diada de Sant Elm, amb una missa (19h) a l’església parroquial de Sant Romà. El president de la confraria, Ignasi Riera, ha explicat que «els socis de la confraria i tots els lloretencs estan convidats en la cerimònia en honor de Sant Elm». La programació continuarà dissabte 6 de juny. A les 17h tindrà lloc l’Assemblea General Ordinària, durant la qual es donarà entrada a nous membres. Segons ha avançat Riera, «amb els socis que entraran aquest dissabte ja sobrepassarem els 90 socis de l’entitat». Durant la reunió també s’aprovaran els comptes de l’exercici i es presentarà el pressupost de les activitats previstes per a l’any vinent. La jornada culminarà amb el tradicional sopar d’inici d’estiu, que començarà a les 21h al restaurant Sant Elm, al Passeig Verdaguer. L’acte és obert a tota la ciutadania i repetirà el format estrenat l’any passat. «És el segon any que celebrem aquest sopar amb aquest format i volem continuar potenciant-lo», ha assenyalat el president de la confraria. El sopar comptarà amb un menú de caràcter mariner i estarà amenitzat pel grup Gardènia Duo, que actuarà durant la vetllada. Mais pourquoi cette forme si particulière ? L'histoire nous ramène au début du XXe siècle… et, de manière assez inattendue, jusqu'en Inde.À l'origine, Perrier n'est qu'une source d'eau gazeuse située dans le Gard, près de Vergèze. La source est connue depuis l'Antiquité, mais c'est au tournant du XXe siècle qu'elle prend véritablement son essor commercial. En 1903, elle est achetée par un aristocrate et homme d'affaires britannique : Sir John Harmsworth. Cet Anglais passionné de modernité veut transformer cette eau minérale française en produit international.Or, Harmsworth comprend une chose essentielle : pour réussir, il ne suffit pas que l'eau soit bonne. Il faut aussi que l'objet soit reconnaissable. À une époque où la publicité moderne commence à exploser, la forme d'une bouteille devient un outil marketing extrêmement puissant.C'est alors qu'intervient l'anecdote devenue légendaire. Lors d'un voyage en Inde, Harmsworth découvre des massues de jonglerie utilisées pour l'exercice physique. Fasciné par leur silhouette élancée et bombée, il décide de s'en inspirer pour créer la future bouteille Perrier. Il pratique lui-même des exercices avec ces objets et apprécie leur forme ergonomique.Le résultat est une bouteille très différente des modèles classiques de l'époque. Au lieu d'être droite et banale, elle possède des courbes prononcées et une allure presque artistique. Cette silhouette présente plusieurs avantages. D'abord, elle attire immédiatement l'œil sur une table ou dans un magasin. Ensuite, elle donne une impression d'élégance et de raffinement. Enfin, elle devient un symbole visuel fort : même sans lire l'étiquette, on reconnaît Perrier.Cette stratégie fonctionne à merveille. Au fil des décennies, la bouteille devient presque aussi célèbre que l'eau qu'elle contient. Elle apparaît dans des affiches publicitaires mythiques, notamment dans les campagnes très créatives des années 1970 et 1980. Son design traverse les modes sans pratiquement changer.Aujourd'hui encore, la forme de la bouteille Perrier est considérée comme un exemple classique de “branding”.
