Lured Up Podcast 386: The Highs And Lows Live Streamed on - 3/10/2026 Publish Date - 3/13/2026 The 30th Anniversary Event is a perfect example of how the changes being delivered by the game can impact Trainers differently. Even with the basic wild encounter pool during an event can be dissected in countless ways. We saw Legendaries in the wild for the first time, but super low catch rates and super high flee rates, the experience was soured for some. March has been really strong so far, and the upcoming events look to continue the trend. Pokopia, Scorbunny and the Bug Out will keep us busy for a few weeks, while Pikachu will join us at the end of the month. We are also seeing more GO Passes, which aren't that much different from the amount of Event Tickets that we were previously seeing. We will need some month over month data to really determine how the shift has impacted our spending habits. The GO Memories campaign is underway and Niantic is looking to hear your best stories and memories made through Pokémon GO. We live for this stuff, and can't wait to dig into some of the stories that are shared. Also, you can win an all expense paid trip to any of the three GO Fests! Be sure to share your favorite GO Memories with us! Finally we dig into how the game is evolving and changing with Memories in Motion. The Scopely Effect is becoming more and more noticeable, but we can't tell what the Community thinks just yet. Multiple GO Passes a month sounds scary at first, but once you realize that it is the same frequency of cost as the now retired event tickets, you can see that the value is actually greater. We have PLENTY to unpack here! 30th Anniversary Event Pokopia Celebration Scorbunny Community Day Bug Out A Shockingly Good Time  GMAX Pikachu Max Battle Day GO Memories Monk's Pub Stay up to date by adding our Google Calendar to your account! Lured Up - A Pokémon GO Podcast

Lured Up Podcast 385 GO Tourist Trap Live Streamed on - 3/3/2026 Publish Date - 3/5/2026 The last week of gameplay has been some of the best Raiding the game has seen. With multiple chases and backgrounds, this week was either a collectors best dream or worst nightmare. One thing was for certain, and that was how both the Road to Kalos and the GO Tour itself were set up to accommodate spending. We both had a different approach to the event, but we both felt the pressure of spending throughout. March is shaping up to have some great events. Blogs have been released covering the next three weeks of gameplay. This comes after last week's March Content Update felt very light on info. The 30th Anniversary Event brings an ambitious amount of Pokémon to the gameboard, with plenty of availability for Legendaries. After the anniversary event we get a one-two punch from the Pokopia Celebration Event and the Bug Out! The schedule may be structured, but it hasn't slowed down at all. Details for each of the IRL GO Fest events has been released and Mewtwo and Zeroara are leading the charge. The event will switch up the habitat style for this event, and even offers a stand alone city experience ticket. If the Early Bird ticket sales are any indication, this year's GO Fest is going to be sold out across the board. We end the show with a discussion about how the Road to Kalos trained us to be prepared to spend, only to be followed up with an even bigger weekend of Raiding. We discussed the Scopely Effect last week, and we think this may be another side of that coin. It looks like a future “Global” events could be increasingly more demanding on our wallets! FLOPPY DAYS 158 - Interview with David Kay, KayPro - Part 2 Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/FloppyDays Sponsors: 8-Bit Classics  Arcade Shopper and https://thekeep.net  FutureVision Research  Tuc's Workbench  Hello, and welcome to episode 158 of the Floppy Days Podcast for November, 2025.  I'm Randy Kindig, your host.  We are currently covering computers introduced in the year 1982 and, to that end, this month I'm beginning a series of podcasts about the Kaypro line of computers.  Kaypro had a rich and varied family of computers; certainly much more so than I ever realized.  In researching Kaypro, I discovered that while Andrew Kay, the founder of the computer company, was no longer around, it turns out his son David, who ran the company for some time, was still around.  I was able to contact David and he graciously agreed to talk with us for the podcast.  Kaypro has a very interesting storyline and I hope you enjoy this.  We talked so long that I decided to break the interview into 2 parts, so you'll hear part 2 this month, and part 1 was last month.  Following that, we'll delve into episodes covering history, tech specs, etc. on the Kaypro.  All the usual topics.  It looks as though I'll have 2 episodes covering those topics. I will have a video for this posted to the Floppy Days Podcast on YouTube.  One note here.  This is one of the last videos where I used a videoconferencing tool that just didn't do a great job.  It has a tendency to not keep up with video and you may note that the mouth doesn't stay in sync with the audio sometimes during the interview.  In addition, audio-wise, you may hear some low clicks throughout the interview.  I've since switched to Zoom and it seems to do a better job of audio and video quality, albeit more expensive.  In the meantime, friend of the show Brian Cox offered to improve the audio quality using some high-end tools he had, and thanks to him, you benefit from his work.  Hopefully, the clicks are gone and the sound from both David Kay and myself is better for the interview section. Thanks, Brian! You will hear ads from some great vintage computer stores, themselves vintage computer fans, throughout the early part of this podcast.  For all of these storefronts, when you place an order, please mention Floppy Days in the notes or comments of the order.  Doing so will help support the podcast.  Many thanks!! I also wanted to mention those listeners who appreciate the show enough to donate through patreon.com.   I really appreciate you guys and it helps offset the cost of running the podcast. Regarding that, I've created some tiers for paid members and have come up with some ways to reward those who are generous enough to monetarily support the Floppy Days Podcast on Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/FloppyDays ), such as early access to videos of interviews like the being brought to you in audio form in this episode.  Visit Patreon to see more details concerning the rewards for supporters . I just want to say that it is my intention to always make all content available to everyone at no cost, while at the same time providing some benefits for those generous enough to support the podcast. I hope you agree I've come up with a good compromise Please let me know your thoughts. Enjoy!! The notion of merging psychology with economics initially faced staunch skepticism, with errors perceived as random rather than systematic. However, everything changed when psychologists Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky joined forces, armed with groundbreaking ideas about human decision-making. Their meticulous research not only introduced a fresh perspective on understanding people's choices but also ignited the flames of Behavioral Economics. Through collaboration with other influential figures in the field, including Richard Thaler, their work spearheaded a transformative movement that challenged conventional economic assumptions, propelled novel ideas forward, and seamlessly integrated psychological theories into economic theory and practice.

Lured Up Podcast 353 - Every Day For Nine YearsLive Streamed on - 7/8/25Publish Date - 7/11/25We hope you don't have much to do outside of Pokémon GO this week because the game has turned the events and bonuses up to eleven! Starting with a recap of the last week of gameplay, we discuss Community Day Classic's two day format, and how it takes some of the stress out of playing the event. The weekend format was great for some more low-key gameplay that let you play when it worked for you.The 9th Anniversary Event brought us the Gimmighoul chase and made those without access to a Scarlet & Violet feel the burn of FOMO. Niantic Cat also walked across the keyboard and didn't activate the Shiny, so the availability was extended by a day. In Red Bank, Ken and the crew threw down 13 Golden Lures that brought the Community out to play. Trainers were tracking down Field Research and zooming in to their maps to find Gimmighoul. We hope you were able to take part in something similar on your local gameboard.Solgaleo is in Five Star Raids for the first time and many of us are ready to Raid. We take a look at both Pokebattler and GO Hub to put together a Battle Party to make quick work of it. Even without the Shiny being available, Fusions were a top priority on the grind, so the Hundo chase was on.Expect the same when Lunala comes around, so plan ahead!Plenty of July events were either teased or detailed this week as well. The Water Festival is returning and bringing new regional forms of Tatsugigi. It opens a discussion about Raid locking newly released Pokémon and how the Regional lock adds an additional barrier of entry to them. With Remote Raiding being the main option for collecting the regional trio, it calls for you to reach into your wallet if you want them all now. Other events like Gigantamax Lapras Max Battle Day and the Ultra Unlock Steel and Scales event have also been detailed, keeping the momentum going strong. We wonder if this pace is sustainable outside of the GO Fest window, and how Scopely will approach the non-stop barrage of events. After all, this game has come a long way in 9 years, with events pushing players to play, rather than the vanilla state of the game. Finally we wrap up with a little reflection on the last 9 years of the game and of Lured Up. We are VERY grateful for everything that the game has brought us, from the countless hours of gameplay to the incredible friends we have made. Pokémon GO has been a more consistent presence in our lives than most other things. We hope you have had a long and positive experience with the game, and hope the “forever game” moniker holds true.9th Anniversary Event Community Day Classic: EeveeHisuian Lilligant Raid DaySolgaleo GOHubSolgaleo PokebattlerWater FestivalGigantamax Lapras Max Battle DayUltra Unlock: Steel and ScalesReflecting on 9 Years of Pokémon GOLuredUp@PokemonProfessor.com    Voicemail and SMS: 732-835-8639 Use code FULLHEAL at https://tgacards.com/ for 10% off your order!Connect with us on multiple platforms! https://linktr.ee/PokemonProfessorNetwork HostsKen PescatoreAdam TuttleWriter and Producer: Ken PescatoreExecutive Producer: XanderShow music provided by GameChops and licensed through Creative Commons▾ FOLLOW GAMECHOPS ▾http://instagram.com/GameChopshttp://twitter.com/GameChopshttp://soundcloud.com/GameChopshttp://facebook.com/GameChopshttp://youtube.com/GameChopshttp://www.gamechops.comIntro MusicLake Verity (Drum & Bass Remix) TetracaseGameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/https://soundcloud.com/tetracase https://soundcloud.com/MegaFlare0Break MusicNational ParkMikel & GameChopsGameChops - Poké & Chillhttp://smarturl.it/pokechillhttps://twitter.com/mikel_beatsOutro MusicVast Poni CanyonCG5 & GlitchxCity (Future Bass Remix)GameChops - Ultraballhttp://gamechops.com/ultraball/ http://soundcloud.com/cg5-beatshttps://soundcloud.com/glitchxcity#pokemon #pokemongo #podcast

McKinney and voiced by Paris Blu, the voice of Faerin herself - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJtigy8U-_8&t=3s   Drink of the Month – 52:15 Stopping into the Snug Harbor Inn in Boralus for a Hook Point Porter and some Tiragarde Sharp cheese.   11.1.7 Launches June 17! – 1:00:28 Patch 11.1.7 launches with the Legacy of Arathor storyline, Lorewalking, Turbulent Timeways, Overcharged Delves, the Lightning-Blessed Spire and Sea-Blessed Shrine toys to transform you into a Sethrak or K'Thir, and new features including the rotation helping technology of Single-Button Assistant and Assisted Highlight.    “What have you done lately?” – 1:24:03 It was Horrific Visions that eventually grabbed my interest and got me back into the game.  Nightfall and Dastardly Duos haven't quite had the same effect.    Professions Pre-Planning? – 1:30:46 The other exciting project that returned me to the game was establishing a roster to cover all the professions and getting them all to 80.  This is the beginning of the prep for an eventual episode on professions, a system that I think borders on being too complicated.   Main Topic:  Best WoW NPC Tournament Coverage Rounds 4, 5, and 6 – 1:42:28 Probably not really the main topic, but this is the exciting culmination of a process that took far too long.   Outro – 1:54:57 Thanks to Blizzard for the amazing music and sound, to OGRE for intro/outro music, my lovely and supportive wife, and you for listening. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of this humble craft beer podcast, we're doing something we've never done before: throwing a beer festival. It's quite the story how it all came about, so we brought in our partner on the project, Erica Campbell, Sales Manager of Blood Brothers Brewing and Co-Founder of the Society of Beer Drinking Ladies, to chat about her illustrious history in the beer industry and voluminous experience throwing events. We then did a deep dive into the genesis of the Get It In Ya Fest concept and the ton of collabs, how we've approached the festival, the importance for us of having minimal wait times for pours and no overcrowding, the way the festival is going to work, the food and entertainment, the types of beer you can expect, and we ran through all 40 (FORTY!) of the collaboration breweries to go into how they all came about. We got into some killer Blood Brothers brews: Shumei IPA, Autopop Cherry Cola Sour, and Paradise Lost (Peach Mango) Sour. This is going to be huge - see y'all at Blood Brothers in Toronto on May 31st!   Grab your ticket to the Get It In Ya™ SpecTAPular Beer Festival here: getitinyafest.com   BAOS Podcast Subscribe to the podcast on YouTube | Website | Theme tune: Cee - BrewHeads
