Ted and Dave discuss how these next six games, especially the Steelers game after their bye will define their 2024 season. If they beat the Steelers the playoffs are still alive but will need help from other teams in the AFC. We recently welcomed back for a thirteenth time one of our favorite guests on Dave Lapham In The Trenches, presented by First Star Logistics, Cincinnati Bengals center Ted Karras. This visit covered a lot, as Karras talked about how the Bengals know they didn't get the job done in 2023 and will return in 2024 hungry and angry, ready to regain a top spot in the AFC. Also discussed was the generosity of Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, who donated $25,000 so Karras would get a "Cincy" tattoo during Karras's huge St. Tatty's Day event. Dave Lapham joined Dave Berk following another big win by the Cincinnati Bengals, who are now 5-3 on the season following their 24-18 victory over the Buffalo Bills in front of 66,965 highly energized fans dressed in orange and black. Lapham talks about the rise of the Bengals' tight ends after many fans screamed for the Bengals' front office to make a move before the trade deadline. Tanner Hudson, who was moved to the active roster instead of making a trade, pulled in four Joe Burrow passes for 45 yards. At the same time, Drew Sample showed he can do more than a blocker at the line of scrimmage with three receptions for 30 yards, including a touchdown, and first-year tight end Irv Smith Jr. enjoyed his best game as a member of the Bengals with three receptions for 26 yards and a score.
